EDITED

Scorpius' P.O.V

I had gone outside to talk to my dad. I stepped out of the room, closing the door quietly behind me. "You said you had to ask me something?" I said and he nodded.

"Yes, me and your papa were wondering if you knew Albus' favourite foods? We were going to make it for dinner." He said. That's a brilliant idea. He'd love that and I could take it on our picnic as a surprise.

"That sounds awesome! We were going to go have a picnic dinner together so maybe I could bring it as a surprise for him?" I asked, looking at my hands before adding, "We- uh- we haven't been on a real date yet and I thought it might  be... nice..." I muttered feeling my cheeks grow hot.

"Hey, don't be embarrassed. I think he'd really appreciate that. So... favourite food?" I looked back up at him with a nervous chuckle. "Right. His favourite meal is this canadian thing. Molly tried it once. Poutine? On his birthday I had the house elves make it special for him. He let me have a taste and it was the most delicious thing I have ever tasted. It's chips or 'fries' as they call them in Canada covered in gravy with cheese curds on top. He really likes it when theres pulled pork on it." Dad raised an eyebrow and whistled.

"Exotic." He joked and I stuck my tongue out at him.

"Alright, I'll call you when it's done." I nodded and gave him a hug. "Thanks dad."

"No problem Scorp."

I opened the door and slipped back inside. I made sure the door was closed before looking at Albus. I saw him lying on the bed, his chest slowly rising and falling. He had fallen asleep. He looked so peaceful. I knew I should wake him for dinner but I decided it was best if I let him sleep. I smiled and went to tell dad and papa that they didn't need to make poutine, instead to make it tomorrow and that I wanted him to sleep. They understood and I went back upstairs, climbing into bed beside Albus and pulling the covers over us. I wrapped my arms around his waist and kissed his temple before nuzzling my face into his neck and drifting off to sleep.

The next morning I woke to Albus peppering kisses over my face. "Mmmm what?" I mumbled, opening my eyes only to be confronted full on by Albus' deep brown eyes.

"Merlin Al, you scared the living daylights out of me." He smirked.

"Morning to you too Scorp." I stretched my arms out wide, a yawn escaping from my mouth. "Sorry we missed our picnic yesterday, I guess I was really tired." Albus said, lying back down beside me and intertwining our fingers. I grinned up at the ceiling.

"That's okay. We can go on one for lunch today. I have a surprise for you." I said, turning my head so I was looking at him. Albus sensed my gaze and met it, smirking a little when he saw the way I was gazing at him.

"What?"

"You're just so beautiful."

"I am aren't I?" Albus said smugly, raising an eyebrow. I rolled my eyes and threw a pillow at him.

"Oh you are on!" He shouted, grabbing the pillow from under his head and proceeding to hit me with it. At one point I grabbed another pillow but I caught the seam and feathers flew everywhere. Albus stopped and looked at me. We sat in silence for a second before bursting out laughing. I threw a handful of the soft downy feathers at him and he sneezed which only caused us to laugh harder.  Then I had an idea. I jumped on Albus, tickling his ribs (Albus' ultimate weakness).

"Aaaah! S-S-Scorp! Ha! L-let goooo!" He squeeled, kicking at the blankets. "Never!" I shouted, moving to tickle his neck. Finally I stopped and looked at him. Albus watched me, slowly turning red. "Um Scorp? You're um..." I looked down and realized that I had moved so that I was straddling him.

"Does it make you uncomfortable?" I teased, leaning close to his face. I made like I was going to kiss his lips but just before contact I moved so that I kissed his sweet spot. Right behind his ear. I felt Albus shiver and whispered in his ear.

"Does it?"

"N-no." He stuttered and I smirked.

"Good..."

I then proceeded to kiss every inch of bare skin I could find before finding his lips. When we pulled away he frowned dramatically.

"You tease."

I grinned and stretched out so I was lying half on him half off. I could feel Albus absent-mindedly playing with  my hair and the low rise and fall of his chest. "You are so beautiful." He whispered. I hummed and buried my face in his neck. We stayed like that for a while before I looked up at him with a smile.

"How about that picnic?"

"That sounds great. But you're gonna have to get off me first." I sighed. "Fine." I said, rolling off Albus and  getting up to get dressed. We headed downstairs and papa handed me a basket that had the food shrunken inside it. I grabbed Albus' hand and led him outside. It was snowing lightly but I had cast a spell to keep us warm. I found a good spot and set out the blanket. Albus gasped when I opened the basket. "You brought my favourite!" He exclaimed. "Only the best for my boyfriend." I said, pecking him on the cheek. "Mmmm I like the sound of that." He hummed. So, we had our first date. All was right in the world and everyone was happy.

Okay so that chapter was pretty much a shoutout to all my hosers out there! You know who you are! Let me just say one thing: POUTINE IS THE BEST THING NEXT TO SHERLOCK AND FANFICTION. Okay I'm good now. Thanks so much for reading!
