Ilumina's P.O.V

"Angeli de tenebris inferni da alis, e obumbratio et protestatem tuam dabo alas, angeli de tenebris inferni da alis, e obumbratio et protestatem tuam dabo alas, angeli de tenebris inferni da alis, e obumbratio et protestatem tuam dabo alas" I chanted, drawing symbols in the air with my wand.

Pain erupted throughout my back and I interrupted my chant with a scream. Bellatrix watched from the corner of the room as I started to speak again. The pain building until I couldn't take it anymore. Bone tore through skin and it hurt so much that I couldn't even scream. I dropped to my hands and knees as feathers and bone ripped from my shoulders and  spread, almost seven meters in length.

Bellatrix cackled and joined me in the centre of the room. "Well done young one! They are beautiful. This will make you even more intimidating." I grinned and pushed myself up from the ground. "Thank you for finding the spell for me Bella." She smiled and and tried to step forwards but her image flickered. "It's time for me to go back little one. Good luck." And with that she disappeared. I fingered the resurrection stone in my pocket.

"I felt you call me. You wanted to know what happened. And why." Oh my god. No I can't let her be here, I didn't call her. "I didn't call you." I whispered, tears threatening to form. "Yes you did. Subconsciously. You want to know why I did it. Why I killed myself."

"Please, Eireann."

"Fine. But just know that you won't forget me. You will always wonder what happened." She said and disappeared. You're probably asking who Eireann was. She was new to Ilvermorny a year ago. Six months in she committed suicide. We weren't told how or why. We weren't even allowed to see the note. I was friends with her. Not super close friends but still friends. If I wasn't friends with her I wouldn't have even known that it was suicide.

Something in my subconscious still wants to know what happened and summoned her. But that's not important. What was important was learning to deal with these wings. It was harder to balance and walk. The long black feathers trailed on the ground behind me and were surprisingly light. I stumbled outside, tripping over dirt until I made it out into the open. I stretched my wings, gasping softly in pain as the new joints and bones moved. After a couple of flaps it felt good enough to try flying. I pushed up off the ground and pumped my wings until I was above the trees. I loved the feeling of the wind in my hair and the air lifting me up into the sky.

Scorpius' P.O.V

The last week had been extremely boring. We weren't allowed outside of the castle so Albus and I spent most of our time in the library reading up on the Una Omnium and wandless magic. Ilvermorny also had an astronomy tower so we decided that that was as close as we were going to get to being outside. I leaned against the railing overlooking the ground and sighed. It was beautiful here but I missed home. It had been deemed unsafe to travel so everyone was stuck inside Ilvermorny until the danger passed.

"Scorpius, earlier this week I wasn't making a promise I can't keep. I was making a promise I have to keep. I'll make an unbreakable vow if you need me to."

"But then if I am killed you'll die too."

"That's the point. I either live with you or I don't live at all."

I looked over at him. He was beautiful. His dark brown hair shone in the setting sun and his brown green eyes trapped the reflection of the forest. "If I died I'd want you to live your life Albus. I wouldn't want it to end because you made an impossible promise." I whispered. He turned so he was facing me. "I would end it anyways. Unbreakable vow or not. I wouldn't be able to survive without my mate." He responded softly, not looking away from my eyes. I smiled a bit. I loved him so much. What if he was the one who was injured or killed? No. That wouldn't happen. We had to find Delan- Ilumina. We had to help her come back to us. I knew that she wasn't this person at all, she just got caught up in dark magic.

"We have to find her." I said, looking back at the forest. "I know. When should we leave?"

"Tonight. We can't let her damage this world any further. She's already got complete control over the Canadian ministry for the most part. That was easy as it's so spread out over the country. She'll be going for the congress next and then on to England and the rest of Europe, ending with the other countries of the world." I said and Albus nodded. We didn't speak but went back to the common room to pack.

I enchanted a small trunk I had so that I could fit a bunch of extra stuff in it. I climbed inside and waved my wand. A kitchen appeared and I levitated stolen food down to where it belonged. There was practically a whole house down here and made no extra weight. Albus climbed down after me and stared with wide eyes at our new home. For now.

"Bloody hell Scorp. When did you learn how to do this?"

I smirked. I hadn't just been looking at dark magic books in our time at the library. "Read about it in a book. I had some of the rooms already made a couple days ago. Theres a bedroom through there." Albus gasped and sprinted over to check it out. He was like a little kid for a moment and that made me happy. He deserved better than to live the life he's lived. I don't know how he managed to be so happy all the time but it was contagious and I often found myself smiling absently. Maybe we could stop this and help Delaney. That's what I thought anyways.

Okay so the stuff from Scorp's P.O.V sucks because I had writer's block and didn't know what to say so yay! Some of you might be wondering what Ilumina was chanting at the beginning so heres the translation: Give me the wings of the angels of hell, out of darkness, out of shadow, give me your wings. Sorry, my Latin sucks. I'm just learning. Um I had a lot of extra feels so Eireann is not of my own creation. She was a real live person who should still be here but isn't. She took her life early in March. She really was only at our school for 7 months. It's all true that we weren't told how or why and didn't get to see the note. I don't know, that just pisses me off but yeah. She was one of the nicest people I've ever known. We miss you Eireann! I figured that Ilumina needed some sort of weakness so yeah... Anyways thanks for reading and please recommend this book to your friends!
