Scorpius' P.O.V
"I'm going to take off the bandages now okay Scorp?" Albus said with a reassuring smile. "The cuts should be healed so you won't lose anymore blood." I nodded and closed my eyes. I could feel his fingers ghosting over my skin as he gently tugged the bandages from my arms. No sudden pain or loss of consciousness so I took that as a good sign and opened my eyes. The cuts were closed but in their place was four thin scars across my wrists. I looked up at Albus and saw the tears that were threatening to fall. I grabbed his hand and sat up.
"Al? Al it's okay. I'm still here. That will never happen again." I whispered, pulling him down beside me. He sniffed and nodded. I let go of his hand and wrapped my arms around him. He leaned back into my chest and I kissed him lightly on the temple.
"I am so sorry Scorpius. This is all my fault. I-I shouldn't have said anything to my mom and t-then we wouldn't b-be here." He said, his voice breaking.
"No. No Albus this isn't your fault. If you hadn't told your mom you wouldn't have been worried that day in the common room and I wouldn't have kissed you. We both would have been too scared to admit our feelings and you would have gone back to your abusive household. I'm not afraid of taking a bit of pain for you. Hell, I'd die for you Albus! So don't go feeling like this is your fault because it's not. I don't care about what happened before now because I found you and you're here now." I growled, my voice growing louder towards the end.
He grinned and turned his head towards me. "I love you Scorpius, so much." He said softly before planting a kiss on my lips.
"Albus? Scorpius? Albus' dad is here to see you." Papa called from behind the door.
"Are you okay with talking to him Al?" I asked and he nodded.
"My dad was never a part of beating me. But he wasn't there either. To be honest I think he was afraid of my mom. But he was nice to me. It will be good to see him again." I sighed. "Alright, it's about time that I met your dad anyways."
We intertwined our hands and walked downstairs to the living room. Mr. Wood was sitting on the couch chatting with my dad about quidditch. When we sat down on the couch opposite them he looked up and smiled. "How are you feeling Albus? I'm so sorry about what happened, me and your mum had already seperated before she took you otherwise I would have never let her do what she did, Merlin if I had known anyways you would never have had to go through that and Scorpius?" He took a deep breath and ran a hand through his hair. "You must really love my son. I'm sorry that Ginny did what she did but from what I hear she's out of the game for good." He finished. I looked over a my dad in confusion.
"Uh, your papa may have... um... added a layer to her burns..." He trailed off and I turned to my papa who was studying his shoes sheepishly.
"She's paralyzed from the waist down..." He mumbled.
"She deserves it. I wasn't allowed to do what I wanted so now she can't either." Albus spat.
I looked over at him in surprise. Albus wasn't known for wishing bad things on people. I squeezed his hand and gazed at him. His jaw was becoming more defined and his dark brown hair was growing straighter. I was still taller than him though, which was the one thing I had going for me. Unlike Albus, who was around five foot three, I was five foot six at age thirteen and fairly thin. My hair was so blond it was almost white and was just as unruly as my dad's.
"I support you two. I hope you know that." Mr. Wood said.
"Uh- thanks Mr. Wood..." I said awkwardly, I hadn't really thought that he wasn't. After all he hadn't tried to lock us up and beat us up so, so far so good.
"I also forgot to ask, I hear that you're quite the seeker Scorpius, do you enjoy quidditch?" I nodded. It was true. Having both my fathers be seekers and quidditch team captains at Hogwarts the chances of my not liking the sport was very slim. Albus was also a really good seeker, but he didn't like to play competitively. "Take after your dads I see. I was thinking of bringing together some of the old house teams and seeing if we couldn't do a game against the current teams. It could be a fun sort of tournament." He suggested. I had never thought of that. I knew that there was a tournament against Beaxbatons, Durmstrang and Ilvermorny coming up this year though. We weren't sure who was going to host yet.
"Yeah, I think that would be fun. Could you talk to Uncle Neville dads?" I asked and my fathers looked at each other. "Yeah I think we could swing that. It'll be good to play against some of the players from the old teams." Papa said. Albus' dad stood up and said his goodbyes, but before he could leave I held out my hand to him. "It was nice meeting you Mr. Wood." I said and he surprised me by enveloping me in a hug rather than taking my hand. "Thank you for taking care of my son. And Scorpius? I think it's okay if you call me Oliver." He insisted before pulling away. I grinned at him and showed him to the door.
"See you around Scorpius. Thanks Harry, thanks Draco!" He called after him as he stepped out the door and apperated out of the warm August air.
