Scorpius' P.O.V

Albus and I had decided to go for a walk on the grounds before dinner. It was two days until the tournament started and I would be lying if I said I wasn't nervous. I knew that the Mahoutokoro team was especially good at quidditch. They were nice enough but there was something about them that gave me a bad feeling. So far most students were very accepting of Albus' and I's shared bond. Of course there were a couple of students that were most certainly uncomfortable. Delaney was completely fine withe it, as was Daniel, although we couldn't get the two of them in the same room at the same time because apparently Daniel knew how to hold a grudge for a long time.

There was a small creek that was down the hill a ways from the school and I decided that that would be a nice spot to stop. We were almost there when by Daniel and three of his friends stopped us. The others other than Daniel were another horned serpent and two Pukwudgies. I smiled and waved.

"Hey guys! Weather's a bit chilly isn't it?" Albus chirped as they walked slowly towards us.

"We don't talk to fags." One of the Pukwudgies said.

"Excuse me? I don't believe we've met?" I countered, a fake smile plastered on my face. I was having trouble keeping my rage from over boiling.

"My name's Olivia, this is Nathan and that's Natalie. You've already met Daniel. But like I said, we don't associate with fags and neither should anyone." Nathan joined in, "Exactly. So we're here to take care of that little problem." He sneered and they all chuckled. Daniel stepped forward with a smirk.

"Crucio!"

Pain exploded through my body as I stepped in front of Albus to take the curse. It felt like my bones were on fire. I could hear the faint sound of Albus calling me and then his screams as a curse hit him too. I tried to open my eyes when I heard more footsteps fast approaching but tears clouded my vision.

"Get away from my friends!" I heard a voice yell and then the pain faded until it was a dull ache.

"Why are you friends with these fags? They're unnatural!" That was the girl Natalie. My hearing slowly returned and I could hear a voice say in a deadly calm tone, "You will regret that. Nobody hurts my friends. I won't tell anybody about this just yet... so you have a couple days at the school, but I'd watch my back if I were you." I recognized the voice. It was Delaney. I listened as they ran away and felt her kneel beside me, trying to bring me into full consciousness.

"T-thanks." I croaked. My throat felt like a sheet of dry parchment. I opened my eyes and saw her cast a spell before feeding me some water. It hurt to swallow but it helped a bit. "Take one of my tears and drip it on Albus." I whispered. She looked confused for a moment but quickly caught on. Delaney gently swept a tear off my cheek and moved it to Albus' He stirred and woke, his wounds healing. "Scorp? Hey, here I'll give you a tear." He squeezed his eyes closed and let a single droplet fall from his lashes and onto  my cheek. I instantly felt better, my throat moistened and I was able to move my limbs.

"What did you mean when you said you weren't going to tell anyone about what they did?" I asked quietly on the way back to the castle. She sighed and ran a hand through her dark brown locks. "It means that people will find out, but I'm going to make sure that they go down in flames. I'm not sure if they'll literally go down in flames yet though." I looked over at her, thinking she must be joking but her face was serious which scared me even more.

"Um- maybe not..." Albus mumbled from beside me. "Fine. But I'm going to make it as humiliating as possible." We nodded. That was fine by me.

Delaney's P.O.V

Those bastards were sick. I thought that Daniel had learnt his lesson the first time he messed with one of my friends but apparently not. This time I would make rue that he did. I knew that our last class the next day was defence against the dark arts and that we were learning about boggarts so I could learn what his worst fear is. I already knew that Natalie and Nathan's are clowns and spiders. I was sitting in the Wampus common room. I had pulled a few strings so that Scorpius and Albus would be able to stay in the Wampus house for a while. Knowing that they roomed with Daniel.

"Goodnight Delaney, and thanks again- for everything." Albus said before covering an already sleeping Scorpius with a blanket and cuddling in beside him on the couch.

"Goodnight Al."I whispered and headed upstairs to my dorm room. I shared it with my best friend from Ilvermorny, Lucia Jacques. She was already fast asleep and I knew that nothing would wake her until morning. I changed into my pyjamas and fell back onto my bed. Tomorrow was the last day before the tournament started so I knew I needed to rest, especially because there were classes tomorrow. I fell asleep with anger still boiling in the pit of my stomach.

---------------------

"Alright class! Listen up! Today we will be studying boggarts. There is one in this closet however before we get started I'll have you line up and practice your wand movements without saying the incantation! Good! Now, Scorpius! You're up first!" The professor called and he stepped forward. The closet opened to reveal a smoky creature that whirled around before falling to the ground in the form of Albus, covered in blood and not breathing. I saw that Scorpius' hand was shaking and his eyes were wide but Albus came and put a hand on his arm, steadying him.

"Ridikulous!" The boggart turned into a corgi in a skirt and the room erupted into laughter.

"Next!"

It was Olivia's turn. She tried to put on a brave face and stepped up. The boggart transformed into a giant snake. Her face turned white and she shakily held up her wand.

"Ridikulous!" The snake twisted and changed into a pretzel with eyes that began to dance. Muffled giggles were heard and Daniel stepped forward. A huge grizzly bear appeared in front of him, letting loose a loud roar. He screamed and backed away. The professor sent him a stern look and he stuttered out the counter spell. This went on for another half an hour but I had got what I wanted.

"Mrs. Hart! It's your turn." I smiled and stepped up. The boggart changed until it was the form of a large tidal wave, heading straight towards me. I held out my wand. "Ridikulous!" I yelled and the wave dissolved into a dolphin in a hula skirt. I smiled and walked to the back of the line. "Hey Albus, hey Scorpius." I greeted. They were standing at the back. Scorpius' face was still white and he was gripping Albus' hand tightly.

"You did great Scorp. Did you hear Daniel scream? It was hilarious!" I said, making an impression of Daniel's face. He smiled and Albus gave me a grateful look.

"There's the bell! C'mon, lets go flying! I want to see your wings." I said, pulling them along with me. I took them out to the quidditch pitch which was strangely empty. I grabbed my broom from the shed and pushed off into the air.

I watched as Albus and Scorpius closed their eyes and fiery wings spread from their backs. Albus' were a dark blue and Scorpius' were a deep crimson. I smiled. I wish I had wings like that, it would be so much fun to soar over the forests and lakes with out having to ride a broom. They beat their wings once and jumped into the air. If only every Una Omnium could do that. I guess that's just not meant to be.

So? Thoughts on Delaney? I figured the story was too nice and fluffy so yay! I'm really excited to start writing the tournament! Do we need another character? Yay or nay? Give me some feedback guys! I'd honestly prefer feedback than votes which some of you are doing both which is awesome! Does anyone want to make a cover for this book? If you do send it in to me!
