EDITED
Ilumina's P.O.V
I sent Kyla a text and a few seconds later she sent me a video of James' mother's reaction to her dead son's body. First her eyes widened, then her hands came to her mouth, and then she screamed. James' brother ran to the front door and stared at his younger brother's body, the light from the porch lamp the only thing to see anything by. I chuckled quietly as I listened to his mother scream over and over, attracting neighbours and, eventually, aurors. The clip ended and I switched over to my music app. After scrolling through my playlists I chose a song called 'The Anchor' by Bastille.
(A/N LISTENING TO THE SONG MAY OR MAY NOT MAKE IT MORE INTERSTING? IDEK)
I ran a hand through my hair and then went out into the grounds surrounding my palace. Gwen followed and once outside Kyla joined us, melting from the shadows that grew in the setting sun. Letting out a shrill whistle I called Caligo to me. The hauntingly beautiful creature trotted from the forest and stopped in front of me.
"What the heck is that?" Kyla asked skeptically. I guess I hadn't shown Caligo to her yet.
"This is Caligo, my umbra inferni." I explained, shifting my wings which were beginning to dig into my back.
"Your what?"
"It's a type xxxxx magical creature that is born from the shadows of hell, hence their name, umbra inferni." Gwen clarified. I adjusted my hand gun that was strapped to my waist before swinging my leg over Caligo's back.
"I'm just going for a little ride. I'll be back in a bit, make sure you give Scorpius and Albus some water and bread." I said and willed Caligo to start at a steady trot. As we made our way up a winding path towards a mountain I eased her into a gallop, the wind rushing through my hair. Trees blurred and then they were gone. We were in a clearing and I willed for Caligo to stop. She did and I jumped gracefully from her back, stretching my wings to slow my landing. I let her go and she disappeared into the shadows. I adjusted my earbuds and pushed off from the ground, diving and swerving around the tree tops and mountain peaks. I made a round around the perimeter of my grounds and then landed back at my palace. It was time to take the ministry of England. I was ready.
Albus' P.O.V
I could hear yelling and many voices coming from the throne room. This lasted for about thirty minutes and then a unified shout of, "Long live the queen!" before it went silent. Scorpius and I waited for what seemed like hours before we heard footsteps coming down the corridor towards our cell.
"Scorpius? Albus? Your presence is needed in England."
In England? I watched as Delaney stepped through the door and yanked us to our feet. She bound our hand with a snap of her fingers and pulled us behind her with magic. Her large black feathered wings dragged behind her as she walked, her black converse had what looked to be a bloodstain on the toe, but her hair was unknotted and her trench coat clean. Her shoes and hands were what gave it away. Delaney's hands were covered in thick red blood. I heard Scorpius gag beside me and looked over to see him green in the face, staring at her bloodsoaked hands, unable to look away.
"Scorp! Look at me. I'm here okay?" He nodded weakly and tore his gaze from her hands. We were pulled into a shadow and the next thing I knew we were standing in the ministry for magic in England.
"Scorpius!"
"Albus!"
I spotted my dad and Scorpius' dads in the crowd in front of us. I shook my head to tell them it was a trap but they were too panicked.
"Give us our sons! Please! We'll do anything!" Harry yelled and Draco and my dad nodded.
No, no, no!
"Anything?" Delaney asked, smirking.
"Anything... just please, give us our sons back." They pleaded and I mentally facepalmed.
"Please bring me the minister for magic." She said, a grin spreading on her face. Kyla and another girl appeared with Hermione struggling between them, her wand nowhere to be seen.
"I will be succeeding you after your death, minister."
"My what?!" Hermione exclaimed, eyes widening with fear as she realized what was about to happen.
"No! Please! I have a daughter and a son!" She screamed as Delaney moved closer and placed her bloody hand over Hermione's heart.
"Stupebant manum meam in eos in pectore, et trahere de in toto corde suo. Stupebant manum meam in eos in pectore, et trahere de in toto corde suo." She said quietly and her hand sank into Hermione's chest. Her screams echoed throughout the large hall and many people fell to the floor in a faint while others screamed along with her or stayed silent in shock. Delaney's eyes narrowed and she yanked out her hand, Hermione falling limp onto the floor.
"Let them go back to their parents. Your minister is dead! I rule you now!" Delaney announced and Scorpius and I stumbled towards our dads. She held up Hermione's heart as blood dripped from her fingers.
"Long live the queen! Long live the queen! Long live the queen!" A cheer erupted in the building and people began to kneel.
"Long live the queen..." I whispered before stepping forwards.
