Chapter Eight

getting out of the truck I saw Parker standing outside the barn I have know Parker forever him and Ed and i think spike are the only ones who really know about the struggles that I am going through with my Daughter Alice I knew it would soon be time to tell the other ones about what was going on with Alice because after all we were a team and they need to know that when we are on a case that I was one hundred percent committed to them.

''how were the kids this morning?'' parker asked me as I we both walked into the building

''well Alice ate all her breakfast this morning yesterday I had to spank Stacey and I told John that he had to watch his sister at school and let me or her mother know if anything happened at school. I mean he was not very happy at that idea but I think he will watch out for his sister.'' I explained to parker as we got on the elevator to go up to the floor where we worked.

''well you know teenage boys never want there little sisters tagging along. they want to be free and not worry about anything. he wants his own identity a part from his home life you remember what it was like being his age.'' parker told me as we got off the elevator and started walking to his office. ''ow god yes I do remember being his age that is why I worry.'' I explained to parker ''don't we all worry as parents but don't worry to much he will do what you tell him to do he will look after his little sister. parker told me as we made our way to the conference room.

''ow I told veronica to drop off Alice after school today they have a half a day i was thinking if there is time today that you could talk to her and see what is going on with her and try and convenience her to go back to therapy.'' i told Parker as we both sat down at the table waiting for every one to come in.

''ill see what i can do but i would easier to talk down a suspect from the ledge then try and get one of my nieces to always lessen to her father.'' parker replied to me and started to laugh breaking up the tension in the room as everyone took there seats and Parker got up and closed the door.

''ok guys and lady we are here to talk about what happened on yesterday job and what we could have done better.'' i told my team who at first did not say anything everyone seemed like they wher lost in there own heads.

''i got a question boss?'' i herd Lou tell me

''yes Lou what is on your mind'' i asked Lou who was the first one to break the silence in the room.

''boss why didn't we de brief after the job was done why did we wait until the next day we almost never do that coming back from a job not matter if it ended good or bad. Lou asked out loud

''well i decided to give Wordy here a break to put himself together again and come back new and better today.'' i told the rest of the team at that time Wordy got up and started to walk around the room.

then after a short while Sam got up from the chair he was sitting on and spoke.

''I don't like how wordy got in front of the suspect the way he did what if instead of giving wordy the gun he had he would have shot you. then I would have had to shoot the suspect down. and them some one most likely the boss would have had to let your wife and family know that you died.'' Sam yelled at Wordy who at that time had stopped pacing back and fourth and stood in front of Sam.

''I did not know you felt that way Sam but he was just a scared confused young boy.'' Wordy told Sam

''yes but he was off his medication and had a loaded weapon you and I both know that is a bad combination to bring together. Sam kept telling Wordy

''lets be real Wordy that could have gone another way and I don't want to lose you as a brother.'' Sam told Wordy who looked like he was on the verge of tears but of course we are all men here and Jules of course so no one was letting there emotions out or crying in front of one another. Parker thought to him self as he watched his two men interact with one another.

''any body else have some thing to Add to the conversation. '' I asked them all because we still have a lot of paper work to get done and now since we have no hot calls it would be a good time to get it done.

''Do you fell better Wordy because I know you where still upset when we left the scence and when you came and picked up one of your daughters ?'' asked Jules

''to tell you the truth I think I am still shaken up about last night because I kept thinking what if it would have been my Daughter Alice and it would have been another team to do the nagusation then what would have happened.'' Wordy finally let it go

''don't worry Wordy you and your wife take very good care of Alice and besides if she ever does anything stupid like try and take her life ill kick her ass all the way to the hospital.'' I hear Spike tell Wordy I know that Spike loves Alice and Alice really loves her Uncle Spike.

''don't worry bro we got your back in and out of work'' I hear Lou tell Wordy and everyone else agreed and nodded there heads.

''ok well that's it for now guys and its time for the paper work that goes along with it. dismissing everyone and opening the door every one went there own ways and started working on the paper work. sitting at my desk about an hour and a half later I saw Wordy wife getting off the elevator with Alice next to her and she did not look happy at all. this was going to be a long afternoon trying to get through to her.
