Chapter Three

walking into the boss office I hope that he could shed some light on what was going on with Alice and John. sitting down in one of the chairs I waited until ED got off the phone.

getting off the phone I see Wordy sitting across from me right now looking like the weight of the world is on his shoulders. ''so what eating at your soul right now?'' I asked my good friend and team mate. I needed to know what was bothering him so I could help him also because I needed him clear minded and in the game if we should get a call today. ED thought to himself as he waited for Wordy to start to talk.

''it was just a ruff night with Alice last night I and her mother had to mildly sedate her because she looked at her cell phone and started to freak out for some reason. I know there was something more to it and I don't know how to help her. my Wife gave her a mild sedative before she left for work last night and I thought everything would be better this morning but it didn't. Wordy was telling me as I held my head leaning on my desk looking up at him signaling him to continue to talk. ''then this morning she did not want to eat her breakfast she was crying and very distant and Angry so I told my other children to meet me in the truck so I can deal with Alice.'' he told me pausing for a moment before he spoke again.

''then we get back into the truck to go and drop them off and my youngest one asked me what is a crazy person? so I tried my best to explain it and then after I had explained it I ask her why do you ask and then she tells me ''that Alice was crazy and that I might have to put her in jail and that John said she was crazy and needed to get her life together.'' I told my boss ED ''wow she said that ? he asked ''yeah well I am par phrasing a bit but yeah pretty much along those lines. but why would john say that about his little sister?'' I asked ED ''well maybe he did not mean it to be mean its just you know how teenagers are or it could be that he is jealous that you and veronica have to spend more time with Alice because of her diagnoses. some times the other children will start to fell left out and start to act of because of it. why don't you take him out spend some time with him man to man just the two of you let him know that you care for him just as the same way you care for Alice and Stacy.'' I hear ED tell me which I never thought of before now that sounds like a good idea. Wordy thought to himself as he stayed sitting in his chair.

''how come Stacy doesn't seem to mind all of the drama with her older brother and sister?'' I asked ED ''aaa that is an easy one its because she is still young and does not care give it time she will be driving you crazy to.'' ED told me and I had to laugh at the idea because it was so true. ''yeah you are right about that for now ill let her stay my little girl.'' I replied to ED ''yes hold on to those moment because they go by fast.'' ED told me as we both got up from where we were sitting. ''you guys trying to get her to go to therapy it might help her cope more and get to the bottom of the things she is going through.'' ED asked me as we started to walk out of the office ''we have both brought it up but she does not seem to want it.'' I told ED opening the door to is office we started walking over to the gym area were everyone was already there working out. ''tell you what let her come here after she gets out of school and ill see if I can get through to her and see what is bugging he.'' ED had offered me ''yeah I will see if Veronica can drop her off after she picks them up from school. I told ED and walked to the locker Room to change into my gym cloths I need to work out all of my frustration and get my head in the game for if and when we get a call today.

coming out of the locker room I jumped on the treadmill right away and started running my laps. ''hey hey what are you training for a marathon we don't know about. I hear spike tell me turning around to look at spike I could not help but laugh ''no I am not training for a marathon spike I am actually excising you know something that you should be doing right now. I told spike ''hey hey I am doing something I am spotting my boy here.'' spike tells me as he is pointing to Sam and everyone started to laugh. ''yeah I don't think Army boy here needs a spotter.'' I told Spike pointing at Sam ''hey come on man every one needs a little help no and again. replied Spike Alice really loved her uncle Spike I could see why he was loyal to a fault that one really good person and son to his family.

''HOT CALL HOT CALL'' we all her whinny call out on the loud speaker ''we have a domestic call under age male with a gun in the family room. that all we know from the young female caller.'' we hear whinny tell us as we all gear up. ''patch me in to the caller whinny.'' I hear ED tell whinny as we are running out of the building and into the waiting trucks. time to get my head in the game and push out everything that I was worried about because it was time to go to work.
