Chapter Forty

''where do I start'' that Is what I replied to my niece when she asked me where I had been all these hours.

driving over the bridge I turned off the engine and walked over the crowd that was forming over these two people.

excuse me excuse me SRU coming through'' I told the crowd of people to get through to where the couple seemed to be. the male had a gun to her the female head and was threatening to end her life.

''come on buddy you don't want to do that.'' I told the male suspect to get his attention

''who are you why the hell are you even here '' the suspect yelled out looking at the growing crowd I needed to contain this mess and get him distracted.

''my name is Greg Parker I am with the SRU I am here to help you and your lady friend over there I just want to help you how about you lower the weapon and then maybe we could talk. I told the suspect

''I don't want to talk I want her to admit that she slept with my brother she cheated on me and she needs to pay the price.'' he yelled out getting agitated minute by minute and I could not even call for back up because my phone was in the car.

'' whatever she did I don't think that she deserves to die and deep down I think you know that to be true right.'' I replied back to him giving some food for the thought while I thought of other seniors that I might have to encounter.

''I WANT HER TO ADMIT WHAT SHE DID SHE SLEPT WITH MY BROTHER WHILE WE WERE GOING OUT ISSENT THAT RIGHT SWEET HEART.'' the suspect yelled out to me and the crowd drawing the gun near her head more.

walking slowly in front of the couple my hands up in the air so that he could see that I was coming towards the both of them.

''I don't have a gun on me no vest no phone I have noting on me to protect me from you taking that same gun that you have held up to this women right here.''

I said slowly pointing to the women who was still being held hostage by him these cases are tricky and the solution is never a cookie cutter.

''you come to a situation with noting but the cloths on your back dam are you crazy or just plain stupid which one is it?'' he asked me

''its probably both right so why don't you put the gun down and we can talk about it '' I asked him and he lowered his gun a little

''I am going to jail anyway so it does not matter.'' he yelled out at me with tears in my ears

''yea you are going to jail but for how long depends on you.'' I told him

''yea you are right'' he replied to me

''you could be in jail for years or so verse the rest of your life and for what to get her to admit something that may or not be true.''

I explained to him

''yea you are right I don't want to spend the rest of my life in jail let them both live with what they did .'' he told me and lowered the gun to his side and the women ran away from him and I secured the weapon and he let me led him to my car where I grabbed my cuffs and cuffed his hands to the car after reading him his rights I grabbed my cell phone and called in for back up.

waiting a while for back up to come I looked through my cell phone I wondered what Alice was up to because I know by now she was already up and about.

once back up came by then the crowd disappeared and all that was left was me and the male suspect who named I learned was Jimmy the guy who caught the whole thing on his cell phone instead of calling the cops. the women who was being held and now I saw a second guy getting out of his car running towards her this guy looked a lot like the now arrested Jimmy I guess it is safe to assume that he was Jimmy brother.

once everything was in order I got back into my car and finished driving back to the barn I stopped at Whinny station. I filled her in on what happened and she filled me on in what was going on while I was gone she even told me told me that Alice had some one in my office .

walking into my office I see Alice on the couch who got up and ran and gave me a hug and told me who the guy was because she knew I would ask right away.

''this is DR Drew he is my new head Doctor where have you been all these hours?'' I here Alice tell me looking up at me

''we will talk more about that when we get home your mom sent some stuff for you'' I told he passing her the black book bag and watched her go back to the couch and start to open her book bag.''

''hey John you where on fire during practice today you blowing off some steam or something '' I hear one of my team mates ask me

''ye some thing like that just a lot of drama you know how that goes.'' I replied back to Sam he nodded his head In agreement.

''well if you want one of the guys is having a party while his parents are away if you want you can come ill text you the details have a drink or two de stress a little what do you think if that?'' Sam asked me

''sounds like just what I need.'' John replied

just then his mother pulled up to the park and John got into the passenger side of his moms truck.

''hi mom Alice is staying the night at uncle Greg house so I was wondering if I can go to a friends house we have to study for a history test coming up.'' I asked my mom as we pulled up to the house.

''yea sure I guess just let your dad know when to pick you up because I don't want you traveling back home late by your self ok.'' mom told me as we went inside the house and walked into the dinning room to eat dinner I was starved .

sitting down it was nice and quite no drama from Alice no dad trying to get her to eat her dinner and getting mad. or mom telling her to stop her non sense no Stacy looking at Alice like a strange creature.

john thought to him self as he finished eating his dinner and after helping his mother do the dishes.

texting Sam he gave him the address and called a cab and waited out side his house for the cab to come.

once the cab came he texted Sam and let him know that he was on his way pulling up to the house where the party was cat John went inside the house and some body passed him a big red cup filled wit beer which he gladly took.

smoke and music filled the air while he drank and danced his stress and problems away at this point noting mattered to him what so ever.

''john has still yet to call me to come and pick him up'' Wordy thought to him self as he looked again at his cell phone and saw the time that it was.

hearing the phone ring it was coming from John cell phone but when he went to answer the phone he just herd loud music trying to yell into the phone he relised that John but dialed him and that he was not at a friend house studying.

turning on the app that spike installed on all of kids cell phone and tracked where John phone was at. getting into the truck he punched in where John was and drove to where his son was at.

coming to a big four store house Wordy got out of his truck and went to go looking for his son. walking into the party he had to fight the urge to yell police and have every one scatter away. spotting his son dancing with another young girl that was not that Rachel person who he was going out with last time I checked.

walking over to his son he grabbed his son by his upper shoulder John was in shocked when he turned around to see that it was his father that had a hold of him.

''ow fuck man'' John slurred at me

''you have no idea son.'' I told my son he knew he was in trouble with me but after his punishment I need to know what the hell was he thinking.
