Chapter Twenty Two

'' WATCH MY SIX JOHN'' I yelled at my Son as we were taking havy fire from Spike and Parker guns drawn.

'' Dad I cant do it any more I quite'' I hear my son yell out giving away our position all at once we were over run by ED and Lou shooting us with the paint ball rounds.

''ow what the hell who shot me in the ass man.''' I hear my son yell out as we all laughed and took a break sitting on the ground.

''well son that's what you get for giving our position'' I told my son who was still rubbing his ass it was a funny site to see. I also know that shit is going to hurt like hell and leave a bruise. Wordy thought to himself as all the guys were sitting on the ground catching there breath.

''lets get something to eat I am starving from kicking your asses out there'' I hear Spike tell us as he starts laughing and every one else slowly starting getting up off the ground. making there way to the picnic area where they sold food and had tables and chair.

sitting down at the table I was looking around I saw the team here well expect for Jules she had to take care of some personal things. its not every day we get to relax and unwind and blow off some steam and what better way of blowing off steam then a couple of round of paint ball. Wordy thought to him self as Spike came back with the burgers and fries and Lou had the fries setting all the food down on the table we all started to eat.

seeing my dad he looked happy right now I don't think I remember him being this happy in a long time. with everything going on with Alice we don't really have time to enjoy our selves espically my mom and dad so it good to see him relaxed and happy.

''dad what is on your mind right now?'' I asked my dad as I stuffed a French fry in my mouth I do not know how Alice also has an eating disorder shit I mean I love to eat.

''nothing much son just taking in the moment that's all'' my dad replied back to me

''ok what time is it ?'' I asked my dad

''its about four thirty'' dad replied looking down at his watch to make sure

''dam we have been here this long'' i told him

''yea time flies when you are having fun.'' dad told me as we all got up and throw away our garbage and started to make our way to the truck. once we got inside Dad said good bye to all his guys and then we made the hour and a half ride back home.

''hey dad have you herd from the girls yet?'' I asked dad

''no not yet they must having a good time they forgot about us guys.'' Dad said laughing driving all the way home.

''mom I just want a salad'' I hear Alice tell me as mom is telling the waiter what we want to eat I hate that we have to keep going through the same thing any time food is involved.

''honey you need a protein as well remember what the doctor said you need to have a balanced diet on your plate. I explained to my Daughter as the waiter stood there not yet moving from where he standing giving me a knowing look.

''well if you want I could tell the cook to put a slice of Turkey on the side of the salad.'' the waiter told me and I said ok and he went on his way.

''mom I need to use the bathroom'' my Daughter told me as she got up from the table and walked to the bathroom just then my phone rang it was my husband.

''hey honey'' I told him as I answered the phone

''hey you ladies having such a good time you forgot to call us guys.'' my husband joked he seemed to be enjoying himself.

''yes well we have had a whole day of pampering we got our nails done and feet and we got our hair done as well now we are at the dinner grabbing a bite to eat before we head back to Moms.'' I explained to Wordy

'''that's good it been a long day John got us all killed on the paint ball field and then someone shot him in the ass for it.'' Wordy told me as I heard him opening the front door to the house

''he going to get a bruise in the morning.'' I told Wordy

''that's what I told him'' Wordy laughed he seemed relaxed and happy I did not want to ruin the moment by telling him that Alice did not want to eat and was giving me a hard time about it I knew he would be mad at her.

''you guys are nuts you know that'' I told him

''yea we are anyway baby I got to go ill talk to you later give the girls my love.'' Wordy told me just then my mom told me that Monday they were having a fair if the boys wanted to come by.

''ow wait Mom says that there is a fair that starts on Monday if you want to come?'' I asked my husband

''yea sure ill drive down Sunday afternoon with john'' Wordy told me and hung up the phone and just then Alice came back from the bathroom and the waiter came with all out food and we all sat down to eat and to my surprise Alice ate her salad and the slice of turkey with gravy and she even ate a few pieces of fruit from Moms plate. maybe we would have a nice long weekend with out an incident I guess one could only hope right.
