Chapter Forty Three

I got a briefing on Alice and her current case Greg also informed me on what happened at school with Alice and another female. so that I would not be walking into these meeting some what blind even though I expected Alice to be close to her Father because of what I been told about her I was still shocked when she came into the conference room with Greg and her father Wordy.

''ok lets get started people.'' I told every one in the room and I saw that Alice stayed more into her fathers shoulder she looked like she was trying to burry herself in his arm.

''hi Alice my name is Thomas I am the leader for team Three and me and my team are here to talk to about what happened with your medication. also the event that took place after your medications were swapped.''

I explained to her as I see her going further into her fathers arm and mumble something to her father and he whispered something into her ear and she sat up really straight in her chair. her father got up to get some water. passing the cup of water to her she took out her pill bottle and swallowed a little white pill and gave her father back her book bag.

''they seem to have a really good system in place to deal with there Daughter it tuff I don't know how they do it.''

Thomas thought to himself as he waited for Alice to get her self back together again.

''can I ask you a question sir?'' I hear Alice tell me and my team there were sitting side by side to me and the three of them sitting across from us.

''sure go ahead'' I told her

''am I in trouble for what I did to my self after.'' she asked me so low I had to struggle to hear what she said. she also was fidgeting with her long selves she was a nervous little bug her head was also down and she was not giving me eye contact.

I looked around at my team and I looked to Wordy and Sargent Greg before I answered her question I did not want her to close off.

''well I cant speak for your parents or what your therapist wants to do but for our sake no your not in trouble with us unless you are not fully honest with us as this case progresses.''

I explained to her talking to her was like trying to defuse a bomb you don't know what will set her off.''

''but why are you guys investing one case why not uncle Greg and daddy and the others?'' she asked me sitting cross legged on the chair looking me in the eye this time like a very intense gaze.

''well first of all your dad cant be a part of this case because he is a cop and your father and it is a conflict of interest. and he answer to the second answer to the question is that we are working with another team that deals with drugs because this has happened to more then one person at your school. ''

I told her and that sure peaked her interest

''hum I did not know that there were so many other people who had to take medication through out the school day.''

Alice said out oud to the room

''but wait when did all these other cases came to the light then.'' she asked looking at her father for the answers.

''one case was before your and the rest some where during your case and one after your case.''

I explained to her and she looked like she was in deep thought I knew we had not even begun to scratch the surface of the question I needed to ask her.

''that's crazy did you check the pharmacy maybe some one there made a mistake.'' she told us getting up from her chair and walking to the window ledge where she sat down on.
