Chapter Seventeen

leaving the doctors office in the hospital with mom I was getting really tired and hungry and I did not take my pill yet. well I guess mom read my mind because the next thing I know we were in the car and she handed me a black bag and in the bag was a turkey wrap my pill bottle and Apple juice. taking out the pill bottle I put the pill in my mouth and washed it down with some juice and started to eat half of the wrap.

''so we need to go pick up a few stuff from the store because your dad want to have a BBQ with the guys and he invited John and that girl Rachel that he wants to take out later that night. my guess is he wants to get to know her before he lets John go out with him you know how your dad is.'' I hear my mom tell me as we pulled into the grocery store ''I already know what kind of person Rachel is'' Alice thought to her self she didn't want to tell her parents or John because he looked so happy maybe Rachel would be good to him.''

''I SAID STOP RIGHT THERE'' wordy was yelling at a suspect while they where out patrolling the pier areas.

''look at this guy Sam'' Wordy told Sam who just was laughing at the whole situation un folding

'' I SAID STOP RIGHT THERE'' wordy yelled again as he started chasing the suspect down the pier with Sam following right behind

''hey Wordy what the hell man stop'' Sam yelled but it was to late Wordy had chased the suspect right into the water and both men had fallen in.

''BRO'' Sam replied as he was laughing while helping the suspect who looked like he could not swim back on to the pier. Radioing in that everything was all right Sam was still laughing as he helped Wordy up the same Pier and the other cop had booked the suspect on petty theif charges.

''come on Nemo lets go'' Sam replied to Wory

''haha very funny you know some guy had his arm around Alice this morning when I dropped her off to school.'' Wordy replied as they started to walk back to the truck

''haha so that's why you chased a suspect into the water your on protective daddy mode right now.'' Same replied to Wordy as Sam picked up the radio in the car

''hey did you find Nemo '' I here Spike tell us

''yea I found Nemo some guy had his arm around Alice so Wordy decided to become a fish a swim '' Sam replied to spike laughing the whole time

''not funny ass hole'' Wordy replied to Sam as they drove back to the barn once inside they all went to to the locker room to shower and change.

''hey going to have a BBQ if you guys want to come through after work hopefully its a slow day today'' Wordy said out loud and every one agreed

''I like free food'' Spike replied

''of course you do''' Wordy replied and took out his phone and texted his wife and asked her to pick up a few things.

getting out the shower and getting dressed Wordy went back to his desk to catch up on paper work until it was time to go home ''he wondered what the kids where up to and if everything went ok with Alice and the new Doctor and he wanted to meet this Rachel girl before John went out on his date tonight and he wanted to know the grade Stacy got on her spelling test.

''mom can I get a bag of chips for the drive back home?'' I asked my mom seeing if she would say yes or no

''ok '' was all she replied when she starting putting all the stuff that she brought for dads BBQ getting back into the car mom drove home while I stared out the window. pulling into the house we saw dads truck in the drive way and three more cars also parked along the drive way. getting the bags from the car we walked into the house going into the kitcken where every one was waiting for us to get home with the food typical guys.

''hi guys'' I said to all the guys and Jules and gave them all a hug while dad went through all the bags to find what he was looking for.

''honey did you finish eating your lunch and chips?'' my dad asked me

''yea how did you know I had chips?'' I asked him

''because I know you and plus you have some pieces of chips on your shirt there'' my dad said pointing to my shirt.

''ow ok '' I replied walking away from him and the others and out of the kitchen down the hallway and up the stairs to my room I needed some alone time.

''it was going on two hours and my daughter had not come down from her room I know sometimes she likes to take naps when she comes home from school so I decided to give her some more alone time before I went looking for her.'' Wordy thought to himself as he went into his wife car looking for a bag veronica had told her him to get looking in the front seat he saw that there was a bag with a turkey wrap in it that one piece was still whole and the other part was just nibbled on. ''she lied to me she told me she ate all the wrap and she didn't she barely ate the half that was here or eat the bag of chips either.'' wordy thought getting madder and madder grabbing both bag wordy locked the car and went back inside the house in search of his Daughter she was in for it now.
