Chapter Fifty Two

pulling up to the house I was thinking of what to do with Alice she really does not know me that well and I don't know her that well either. I was really at a lose as to how to handle my Granddaughter and this situation that we seemed to be in right now.

driving up to the house I turned off the engine and looked to the back seat to see Stacy just sitting looking at me.

''can you do me a favor and go inside the house and take your sister book bag with you as well while I go and deal with your sister here.''

I told Stacy who grabbed her book bag and her sister book bag and opened the back door of the truck and got out and walked all the way inside the house with out looking back.

''ok kid I know that you don't like me very much because you don't know me that well not like your other brother and sister do. but I am like my son in a lot of ways you might say I don't have the attention span to wait for your little temper tantrum to be over. so you need to get your act together so that you and me could go inside the house and have a good weekend.''

I calmly told my Granddaughter who just shook her head In a back and fourth motion under the blanket still.

''I had enough I got out of the truck and closed the door then I walked over to the passenger side back door and opened the door on the side that she was sitting in.

''NO NO NO ''I hear Alice cry out to me still shaking her head and trying to slap my hands away so in one swift motion I picked her up and throw her over my shoulders and the blanket fell on the floor of the truck along with the pillow and I closed the door with my one free arm.

walking into the house Alice was still over my shoulder so I put her down on the floor but did not let go of her arm as I walked into the kitchen where there Grandmother and Stacy would be.

''NO NO NO ''she kept telling me the whole walk there which was short but she kept yawning and whining which I cant stand when children do that.

''stop that whining kid.'' I told her as I led her to the kitchen where Rose was by the table and Stacy had a plate of food already.

''Rick that child looks tired god awful tired what happed to her ?'' I here Rose ask me pointing to Alice who had not moved from where she was standing.

''well Rose she did not eat all day and she fell asleep in all here classes and she is very cranky and tired which those two things do not go good together at all.''

I explained to Rose while looking at Alice the whole time to see if she was listing which she was but she still did not move.

''well maybe Alice should have something to eat and then take a nap and see how she fells then.''

Rose told me while fixing Alice of a plate of turkey and cheese lettuce and tomato's sandwich on a roll with some chips and a cookie and a glass of soda.

she just stood there looking at all three of us ''why does she have to make life so difficult '' Rick thought to himself as he got up from the table and walked over to where Alice was still standing and grabbed her by the arm and brought here to where I was sitting.

''NO NO NO'' was all she kept saying when i told her that she had to eat what her Grandmother made for her. when she still didn't moved she looked like she was in a trance so i looked over to Stacy to see if she knew what i could do next.

''put her on your lap that's what daddy does sometimes so she cant move then if she does not eat daddy tells her that he is going to go get the belt.''

Stacy told and looked at me then went back to eating her snack

''i wonder if that really works and why does my son have to do this to his own daughter she should lensing when grown ups tell her what to do.
