Happy Birthday

A few days later Edward was tired, since he worked part time at the nearby coffee shop, heaving a tired sigh when he unlocked the door and opened it immediately screaming when he put his red coat down seeing Winry and his younger brother jump out from behind the door happily. ''Happy 23'rd birthday!" Both Al and Winry screamed in joy clapping their hands together, immediately seeing the older blonde grab his chest and back up with a panic, ''Give me a damn heart attack why don't you!'' Edward screamed catching his breath, ''Right when I come from work too...''. ''We just thought you would appreciate this after a long morning.'' Winry said cheerfully ignoring her childhood's friend outburst, going over to hug the blonde who smelled like coffee, ''You're finally 23~'' She said happily nuzzling her cheek against his, glancing up with her blue eyes to see Edward making a face, but suddenly smile at them. ''Well....Today was a busy and bad day at that, that I forgot my own birthday... So this is a nice thing to come home to... But you two didn't have to do this really...'' Edward said with a laugh and smile seeing his younger brother shake his head, ''No, you deserve it.'' Alphonse said happily holding a cake out towards his brother. ''That's a big cake for three people...'' Edward said seeing Winry smile nervously and clap her hands together, ''Well... I may have invited a friend over... See I met this really nice woman at school a while back, when they were walking their dog, And I just HAD to pet them, and I saw them again before meeting with Al earlier, so I thought it would be nice to invite her you know?'' She said with a small laugh perking up when hearing a sudden knock on their door. ''That must be her.'' Winry said going to the door opening it, revealing a much taller and older blonde that could of passed as her twin with the same hair length and color, ''I thought I had the wrong door, looks I didn't...'' The blonde said with a laugh making Edward look at her making her turn to him with a smile, ''You must be Edward... I'm Riza, Riza Hawkeye.'' She introduced. ''Riza, I'm glad you could make it.'' Winry said happily hugging her friend, ''Well, I just couldn't turn down the invitation.'' Riza said hugging her back before turning back to Edward with a smile holding a small box out, ''I baked some sweets for you. It was the least I could do for you birthday.'', ''Thank you...'', ''Oh by the way, I brought a friend over...'' Riza cut off with a pause. ''They just insisted on coming with me, and I couldn't get them off my neck.'' Riza said with a nervous laugh, ''I hope that's not too much of an issue Winry...'', ''No! Not one bit! The more company the better! Besides Edward is always hiding in his room, he needs the friends.'' Winry said offending Edward who just turns to her  making a face, ''I'm right here!''. ''Speaking of... Where did he go?... He was right behind me...'' Riza said turning to see no one behind her, ''Hmm...'', ''Who is it that it's such a big deal-?!'' Edward said annoyed going to the door before jumping up in surprise screaming when a dark haired male popped out in front of him with a grin, ''Aren't you a testy beauty~'' Roy said grinning still by the door seeing the blonde make a face. ''Excuse me?!'', ''Oh? So you're not a woman? I could of sworn with that hair length and body, that you were~'' Roy teased seeing Riza put a hand to her face and sigh, ''Roy... It's his birthday, be nice to him... Can't even give a good first impression.'' She said looking to Al and Winry, "I really apologize on his behalf, He's just kind of... Inhuman at times...''. ''Inhuman is damn right!'' Edward said glaring at the dark haired male who just grinned making the blonde pause and make a face when seeing Roy was still standing at the door, ''...What are waiting for... An invitation inside?'' He asked with a raised brow seeing Roy nod despite him holding a small gift in his hands, ''Of course, being invited inside is much better for me.'' He said simply. The blonde just raised a brow at him with Al looking at Roy strangely at that moment but brushed it off looking over to his older brother, ''Don't be rude Brother.'' He said seeing Edward make a face and annoyed sound, ''Fine, whatever...'' The blonde huffed in annoyance glancing over to the waiting raven haired male with his golden eyes meeting his dark eyes. ''Please, come on in.'' Edward said in a monotone sarcastic tone extending a hand out inviting the raven haired male in, making him smile and look over to Riza who just glanced away guiltily, ''Well, now, that that's settled... Maybe we can order food on our half?'' She said clapping her hands together with a guilty expression, the moment they heard Edward scream, ''For the last time I'm not a woman!'', ''Oh boy...''. ''Is this really going to be okay?...'' Winry said looking over to Roy who kept teasing Edward, ''What a coincidence... I helped him at the mall, the other day...'' Al said making Roy perk up from his teasing and smile and him, "Right... Where are my manners... I never got to thank you for giving me back my necklace.'' Roy said walking over to them dragging Edward with him by the neck. ''It's alright... But... You really took a liking to my brother really quick didn't you...'' Al asked with a nervous laugh seeing Roy grin, ''Of course, He just looks so good to sink my teeth into, you know?~'' He said sending s chill down Al's spine, ''Right, this is for you.'' Roy remembered letting go of the blonde and handing him the small box. ''Happy birthday Pipsqueak~'' Roy said seeing the blonde look at him angrily, ''Well, don't be shy. Come on and open it~'' Roy insisted happily seeing Edward raise a brow at him at what he said and the sudden gift, ''Okay... Thanks I guess...'' Edward said opening the small box to see a small notebook, ''A notebook?'', ''You look like the notebook type to be honest~'' Roy said before going to the group, ''Let's order some food yeah, I'm starving!''.
