  ''Riza... I feel like I almost lost control of myself last night, but I don't remember... All I remember is Edward cornering me and kissing me, and cutting his lip again... And after that I don't know what happened...'' Roy said the next morning making a face seeing his caretaker was looking at him unhappily with her wrist wrapped up and over a blood pouch, ''...You're looking at me like I did something wrong...'', ''Take this before you lose control again.'' Riza said simply getting up and going to the kitchen counter to make her coffee. ''Will you tell me what I did wrong?!'' The raven haired male asked seeing Riza turn to him almost angrily, while trying to keep her cool at the same time, ''You almost did lose control of yourself last night!'' Riza said seeing Roy's dark eyes look surprised, ''Edward brought you back to me with you being on the verge of losing it! So of course I had to let you bite my wrist, and let me tell you your bite hurt!'', ''You're the one that told him about me needing to feed! And let me tell YOU that bothered me!'' Roy replied back. ''Edward has a right to know Roy!'' Riza said even more angered at the other's bratty attitude but dropped it when seeing Roy look down making a face putting his hand over his almost healed arm, ''He protected you last night from someone else finding out about you... Don't you understand that?... He was worried about you...'' She said seeing the raven haired male look even more like a child that was being scolded for his actions. ''He's protecting you when I'm not around!... When will you stop being so selfish and closed about your emotions!... Look... It's okay to lose control and have someone to fall on... That's just what we as humans do... We depend on people, we ask for help... I know Edward is just as bad as you but... He's learning to open up more and trust people more since he got with you...'' Riza said going quiet when seeing Roy get up and leave for the room without another word, ''Roy Mustang, I wasn't done talking to you!... The least you can do is apologize to him!''. ''Ed... Are you alright you look stressed... Something bothering you?'' Rose asked the usually serious blonde who looked stressed and tired as he worked making the coffee orders, glancing down to see what seemed like a bite mark on him, ''Ed...''The tanned girl said putting her finger over the bite/scratch seeing Edward make a face and wince, ''My brother's cat got her nail stuck on me and scratched me... That's all...'' Edward finally said  with a tired smile despite the huge lie he said looking over to Rose's violet eyes look at him for a long silent moment looking at his scarred lip. ''I see...'' She finally said smiling convinced at his lie putting her hands over her chest, ''Hey Ed, let's go out sometime yeah?'' Rose said simply walking off to help the German at the cashier with Edward heaving a sigh to himself and get a grip of himself taking a deep breath remembering how Roy had looked on the verge of losing control of himself making a face again, ''Even though it was just one fang... That still hurt... That means it'll hurt when he bites me for real...'' Edward thought putting his hand on his neck. ''Ed... Ed!'' A voice cut in making Edward snap out of it seeing he had messed up the order he was working on, making him put his hands to his face, and scold himself at his mistakes making the blue eyed male hold back from scolding him and go over to Edward, ''Did you and Roy have problems last night because of me?'' He asked quietly so Rose wouldn't hear their conversation, ''No... We didn't have any problems... I'm just really tired, and I just keep messing up on everyone's orders...'' Edward replied with a laugh making the German feel like he was the blame for his co-workers mood. ''Ed... You can leave if you want.'', ''No, No... I can work.'', ''Please Ed... I hate seeing you like this... This isn't like you.'' Alfons said seeing Edward about to protest but kept his word, ''No, take the rest of the day off and work things out with Roy. Hey... maybe I can even go over to your place later on and talk to both you and Roy... You know I can apologize more properly to the both of you.'' He said seeing Edward make a face and look up at him with his golden eyes but force a smile, ''Sure Alfons... See you later.''. ''This isn't like you.'' Edward recalled the German's words, since he had said the same thing to Roy last night in his unstable moment, heaving a heavy sigh in the back where he took off the apron and folded it putting it away, leaving saying his goodbyes to Alfons and Rose who just waved, ''See you tomorrow.'', ''Yeah, see you.'' Edward said with the German noticing how Rose was looking at Edward since he was dressed in a sleeveless black and white striped shirt, jeans, boots, and his hair in his usual braid. ''She won't like it when she finds out that he's already taken by someone of the same sex...'' The blue eyed male thought going back to work, with Edward putting his headphones on and turning his music on as he walked out the coffee shop door, about to sigh but pause turning seeing Roy leaned back against the wall arms crossed, dressed in a plain black long sleeve shirt, dark jeans, and some boots with a bothered expression on his face, ''Baby Dracula?...'' Edward said surprised at his presence as if he knew he was given the day off. ''I'm sorry!'' Roy said with a his arms still crossed and an expression of a scolded bratty child with Edward not being able to help himself and laugh with a smile, ''...You look better than last night... I'm glad... You had me worried you know.'' Edward said going over to hug the raven haired male who flinched in surprise at the sudden embrace, feeling a small blush fill his pale cheeks staying quiet glancing down at bite/scratch he had left on Edward's exposed left shoulder, ''I'm sorry...''. ''Winry... You want some aspirin?'' Alphonse asked back at home knocking lightly on the bathroom door since Winry's nausea was getting worse, worrying him hearing Winry let out another nauseated cough and go quiet, ''No... I just... Need to rest...'' Winry said making a face remembering what Roy had told her the day before, ''It's going to be a girl.'', ''No... How could he even know something like that, I checked last time and it came out negative... I... I have to check again...'' She thought messaging Riza to bring a few things, ''Al... Can you ask Riza to come over as soon as possible?'' She called out, ''Yeah, I'll ask her to bring you some medicine or something...''. ''So Riza told you what happened...'' Edward asked seeing the pale day walker nod but still looking away from him, under the quiet empty bridge of the pier that afternoon as they sat on the sand and the waves rolled, ''So you blanked out after I kissed you...'' He asked seeing the raven haired vampire make a face, that he was right, ''I see... You know, if I didn't know any better... You seem to be gaining some sort of humanity...'' Edward said with a small laugh. ''Not one bit...'' Roy said defensively, ''Defensive much huh?...'' Edward said, ''You know... I could of just let Alfons see the true you, but I didn't... The least you could do is be grateful for once.'' He said seeing Roy look at his phone like he was ignoring him and get annoyed, getting up and leaving again, ''Are you just going to sit there like a rock? Riza said she wanted us to meet at your place ASAP for some reason.'' He said turning to Edward holding his hand out, ''You weren't ignoring me?...'', ''No...'' Roy said annoyed, ''Let's just go before I get scolded for the third time.''. ''Winry... Does Al know about this?'' Riza asked after she put her phone away, looking over to the blue eyed female in the bathroom who was looking down at the positive pregnancy test in her hands shake her head, ''No... Then how...'', ''Roy told me...'' Winry said looking over to Riza, ''He even said it was going to be a girl, can you believe that?...'' She said with a smile and laugh, with Riza looking surprised since Roy never mentioned that to her, ''My grandma is going to be happy when she hears about this... Roy's really something else isn't he?'' Winry said seeing Riza smile, ''Yeah... Let's help you find a way to break the news to the new dad to be yeah?''.
