''You're just what I'm looking for... How about it? Come with me and I'll give you everything you always wanted. You won't suffer anymore, you'll be immortal.'' Those words were enough to make Roy feel sick at the reminder of Lust's words to him, putting his hand to his face pained in his room later that night drinking since Riza was sleeping, ''Is this what I've come to?... Alcoholism?'' Roy questioned making a face. ''I can't... What good am I being this monster!...'' Roy said pained but stopped staying quiet glancing over to the photo on his nightstand of Hughes and himself that he showed Edward, ''Vampire or not, never forget who you are... Remember who you are, but never call yourself a monster, because you're not, you're still Roy to me.'' Roy recalled some of Hughes words to him making a face putting the glass to his face sighing. ''Remember who you are, huh?...'' Roy's said quietly looking at the single ice cube in the half empty alcohol glass shaking the cup around to move the ice cube around scrunching his face, ''Who are you to change this guy over here?'', ''I'm just a simple barista, that's all, haha...'' Roy thought back to Envy and Edward's conversation about him before Edward left to help Winry and Alphonse out back at home. ''...He's more than that... He's human... No... He's something else, he's home...'' The raven haired vampire said quietly enjoying the breeze from his open window drinking, ''I'm hopeless...'' Roy said simply with another sigh realizing he missed the blond, ''I must be going senile, from this lack of feeding... I'm going to sleep...'' Roy said annoyed putting the empty glass down next to the empty bottle on the nightstand, calling it a night.

''Tch... Who could be calling this early in the morning?'' Roy thought making a face sitting up when the sound of his phone going off sounded louder than usual making his head hurt, making the raven haired vampire he was hungover grabbing the phone to see Winry was calling him sighing but answered as he usually did, ''Winry, it's a surprise to hear from you. How are you and the baby doing?'' He asked casually with a smile. ''Mmm, pretty good. I just wanted to know if you were free today?'' Winry asked on her end of the line putting her hand over her stomach, ''Yeah, you need something for your baby?'', ''No, I actually just wanted to spend the day with someone since everyone is busy, and... I'm kind of hungry, and was wondering if you wanted to go grab a bite to eat?'' She asked hearing silence on the other end of the line, ''Roy?...''. ''...Yeah of course. I can meet you by the coffee shop, in twenty minutes.'' Roy said massaging his head, hearing Winry make a sound in content, ''Okay, I'll see you there.'' He heard her say making him smile when she hung up putting his phone down, stretching his arms with a sigh, ''I should of said no...'' He said to himself pinching the bridge of his nose, but pat his face roughly getting a grip of himself. ''No time for that... Get a grip of yourself.'' The vampire said to himself with a serious expression, despite almost losing his balance when getting up from his bed opening his door to see Hayate sitting down right in front of it barking at him, ''You know Hayate...'' Roy started kneeling in front of the whimpering dog, ''I've tried everything to cut life short, but... I'm still here... Why is that, Hayate?'' He said making a face, petting the dog who just followed after him.

''Ed, I was thinking of remodeling and giving everyone a break... What do you think?'' Alfons asked at the busy coffee shop that same morning, glancing over to see the blond smile his usual smile as he made coffee orders seeing something off about it, ''Ed... Are you alright-'', ''I think it's a great idea, you always did want to remodel the coffee shop.'' He said making the German scrunch his face when he was cut off so quickly and oddly. ''...I actually don't like the idea... It's too much work. Maybe I can just hire new people, I can use someone to help you out with the orders." Alfonso said with a laugh and his usual smile, "Ed's right, a remodel wouldn't be bad it's a good change, and some hiring to help me out." Rose's voice said making the German laugh more, "Of course, Rose... You made apple pie? It smells delicious, doesn't it Ed?'." He said with Edward glancing over to his co-workers with a smile and nod, ''It sure does.''. ''He said he'd be here... Where is he?'' Winry thought searching around near the coffee shop, looking at the crowds finally spotting the vampire a few feet from her smoking a cigarette, seeing him quickly put it out and throw it away before she could see him, ''...Winry.'' Roy started turning to Winry who was casually dressed in sneakers, black pants, pink tank top, and her usual ponytail and simple make-up. ''There's this great Thai place nearby-?!'' Roy started with Winry pulling out a small bottle of perfume and spraying him with it suddenly, ''There, let that set in for a few minutes, and we'll go over there to eat.'' Winry said hearing the vampire cough a few times but get a grip of himself, seeing he looked tired but also off balance piecing together he was hungover, ''Hey Roy... Sorry about that...'' She apologized seeing Roy wave his hand around smiling at her.

''It's fine, I understand... I can always take this jacket off.'' He said seeing the pregnant blond sigh tiredly suddenly, ''Winry... You okay? Maybe you should sit down.'' He said as Winry smiled at him again, ''I'm just a little out of breath since I walked over here... You think we can grab a coffee, before we go?'' She asked with her usual smile with Roy falling for her trick as he nodded walking off, following behind him messaging Edward. ''A bit down today, Ed?'' A voice said making Edward look up and seeing Winry, ''Hey Win, oh Baby Dracula is with you?'' He said with a smile but paused when seeing Roy ordering with the German, ''He smells like cigarette... He should know better...'' Edward said making a face, ''Yeah... Check your phone.'' Winry said making the other pause after handing the coffee to the waiting customer. ''Hah? You know I can't check my phone while I'm working, Win...'' Edward said looking to the female blonde who put her hands together, ''...Please... It's really important...'' She said seeing her friend scrunch his face and sigh, ''...You made me do this...'' Winry said with a sigh putting her foot out when Roy walked to her with his usual smile, ''Hey I ordered you a coffee and some puff pastries-?!'' Roy started but tripped on Winry's foot falling face first on the floor. ''Ah! What was that for Win!'' Edward said looking to Roy who sat up waving his hand around smiling flustered, ''It's fine Edward, It's fine...'' The vampire said standing up but got dizzy and lost his balance falling again, gripping his head making a face, ''You know don't you, Winry...'' He said confusing Edward till hearing Alfons speak, ''Ed... Roy's hungover... That's what Winry is trying to tell you...'' He said seeing Edward make a face not surprised, ''Of course...''.

''So what are you going to do?'' The German asked glancing over to Edward who put his hands over his face sighing, staying silent while Rose had volunteered herself to take Winry out to lunch with Winry denying the offer with a nervous smile as she sat next to the vampire who wouldn't look anyone in the eyes, with Edward that moment standing up straight, going over to the table with a hard to read expression. Winry panicked when seeing Edward's familiar angered expression, quickly holding her hand up, ''E-Ed, It's alright, really!'' She started but paused when seeing him lean towards the vampire stopping a few inches from his face, with vampire looking up surprised at how intensely his boyfriend looked at him seeing a familiar hurt smile at his careless attitude as of lately, ''Please don't stress Win, Roy...'' He heard Edward say simply. ''You're doing it again...'' Winry said later at food court after ordering her food looking to the vampire whose face was on the table, ''I'm fully aware...'' Roy mumbled realizing he was stressing Edward out again, snapping out of it looking up with a smile despite his hangover, ''You worry too much... Stop doing that, it's not good for the baby, Winry.'' He said seeing Winry make a face eating again but didn't say anything. ''Hey Winry...'' Roy started seeing the blonde look at him still eating, ''Yeah?'', ''Where's the big get together going to be at again?'' He asked as the other sipped at her drink, ''Alfons's place, he says it's big enough for all of us, plus he says he's expecting someone.'' She answered seeing the vampires face keep his smile, ''I see... I'll make sure to remember that...'' Was all the vampire said before finally going back to his old self.
