''I gave him a spare key, because I trust him! What if something happens to me! Who'll watch over you when I'm gone!'' Roy recalled back to the answer his caregiver had given him, when he confronted her about her giving Edward a spare key to their place later that night they had returned back home, ''Don't say that... I can't lose you... You know I don't want to lose you Riza...'' He recalled in his reply making a face, out of it again biting his nail again but snapped out of it when he was called to. ''Roy... Are you alright? You got quiet and blanked out when I asked you about your caretaker.'' Pinako asked seeing the raven haired male look at her blankly a long moment but shake his head, ''Did I now? I would of remembered if I did...'' He said with a laugh making the older woman make a face but decided to change the topic, ''You know... I'm still curious as to how my boy ended up with you... I mean in this day and age?... Are there anymore like you?''. ''To be honest... Not really.'' Roy admitted as he and the older woman walked towards the direction of the coffee shop where Edward was working at right now, ''I see... I'm sorry to hear that.'' Pinako apologized, ''But it's fine, I don't feel lonely.'', ''A cross tattoo, and a cross necklace... Despite being what you are... You're still holding on to whatever bit of faith you can hold on to... What does that tell you?'' She asked before getting serious again. ''You two... How long have you two been dating?'' She asked getting to the point making Roy look up and think about the question, ''Um... Let's see... Well... We actually just hit a month, since the day-'', ''You two slept together?'' Pinako cut in sitting on a nearby bench near the coffee shop, making Roy pause and get flustered, ''I need to take a break, I'm not as young as I used to be.'' Pinako said looking at Roy who looked shy suddenly. ''Tell me something... How old are you?'', ''Twenty Seven.'', ''No, I meant your real age.''  Pinako said when the raven haired male put the bags next to her and sat on the concrete stand under the shade of the tree heaving a sigh, ''Thirty Four... I would of been Thirty Five this year.'' He said simply closing his eyes, with the older woman looking over the raven haired vampire, ''You sure dress the part, I'll give you that.'' She said referring to his black and white striped long sleeve shirt, a light blue jean jacket that was pulled over halfway his striped sleeves, dark jeans, cross necklace, and boots. ''I honestly thought you would of had a problem with me seeing he was dating another man.'', ''I was more surprised than anything, considering this is his first relationship.'' Pinako said casually, ''I also wanted to apologize for getting in your face like that yesterday, I just had to see for myself what Winry meant.'' She explained, ''You know... I seen the way the boy looked at you yesterday... He likes you a lot.'' Pinako said glancing over to see Roy's eyes and expression look surprised, but get serious again. ''Really?... Considering he couldn't stand me before, that's a surprise.'' The raven haired male said cool and casually but paused, ''Though... I like him too but...'' Roy admitted with a smile but paused midway, ''He's something else, there's just so much I don't know about him though.'', ''You must be talking about his wrists... I'd say but... It's better he tells you on his own, when he feels ready to.'' Pinako said simply, ''I understand... Say Ms. Rockbell.''. ''Hmm?'', ''Edward's looking at me from the coffee shop isn't he?'', ''Correct.'' Pinako said smoking from her pipe, ''What do you do for a living Roy?'' She asked, ''Well I was I was in the miltary before so... I have money saved up. But I do side jobs with friends when they need me as well.'' Roy explained, ''I see... That's great.'', ''You want a coffee, before I drop you back off at your place?'' The raven haired male offered, ''You just want an excuse to see the boy.'' Pinako teased seeing Roy smile nervously and get flustered, ''No...'', ''I'm teasing... Of course.'' She said seeing Roy walk off. ''Nice to see you can't take your eyes off me, and behind the cashier for once.'' Roy said when he had walked inside and to the counter seeing Edward wearing a sleeveless black shirt, and a plain black rubber bracelet on looking at him with a flustered smile, ''Well... It's nothing new to be honest...'' Edward commented with a laugh seeing Roy look at him oddly for a long moment, ''W-What...'', ''Your hair looks different like that...'' Roy said referring to the blonde's half down hair, with the rest of it in a messy bunt, with the right side of his bangs pushed back with two black hair pins, revealing three black piercings on his right ear. ''Beats your messy hair.'' Edward said sticking his tongue out, despite being flustered at what he said, ''I like it... I also just noticed you have piercings on your right ear.'', ''Shows how much you pay attention... Anways what can I get you?'', ''The usual, and a plain black coffee.'', ''Mmm... Okay... Will that be all today?'' Edward asked looking at the raven haired male who was looking at the glass next to him, that contained sweets, and various other foods surprising him since he knew Roy rarely ate actual food. ''...Can I have three fudge nut brownies, and a dozen chocolate chip cookies, please?" Roy asked almost shyly seeing Edward stay quiet but go back to his job, ''Okay... Your total will be...'' The blonde said on taking the bill from Roy's hand, opening the cashier to get his change, ''Here's your change, and go over there for your order okay?'', ''Keep the change.'' Roy said seeing Edward look at him surprised, ''Ah... Thank you?.''. ''Here.'' Roy heard Edward say turning to see him looking at him with a serious flustered expression behind the counter placing the sweets down on it, ''Let me just get your coffees.'' He said quickly making the coffees, ''You're coming back right?'', ''I wasn't going to, but I'm not heading home either since Riza is at home sleeping, she worked the graveyard shift so she's exhausted, and I want to let her sleep.'' Roy said seeing Edward open his mouth but close it again putting the coffees on the counter. ''The usual for you, and a plain coffee, like the way the old bat likes it.'' Edward said tapping them, ''Thank you.'', ''Come back yeah?... I could use the company.'', ''Could you really?'' Roy asked seeing the blonde smile a bit deceived at his answer, ''I understand, you have other things to do-!'' Edward said with a small laugh getting cut off with a sudden kiss by Roy who had leaned forward than pulled away from the kiss, looking at him lightly flustered, ''I'll see you later when I drop off your aunt okay?...'', ''Okay.'' Edward replied with a bright smile. Roy who was driving quietly on his way to drop off Pinako, heaved a sigh only to have it cut short, ''Can't say no to the boy huh?'' He heard the older woman say when she put her coffee cup down, ''He gives you a certain puppy dog look, and you fall instantly to him. That's interesting.'' She said glancing over to see the raven haired male make a face blushing, but still focused on his driving, ''Ms. Rockbell please...''. ''Ed, you'll be okay with closing with me right?'' A voice cut Edward's self thoughts turning to see Rose looking at him, ''Alfons sick again?...'', ''He won't get mad right?'', ''Roy?... No, why would he get mad for me working late?'', ''Because he doesn't like me.'' Rose said quietly, ''It's not that... It's quite the opposite of that actually... He was actually jealous of you...'' Edward said with a small laugh as he cleaned the machines and counter. ''Jealous of me?'' Rose asked surprised, ''Mhmm... Silly isn't it?'' Edward asked with a laugh and blush, ''No... That actually makes me feel worse, with the way I've been with you around him. That's why he snapped at me.'' Rose said setting up more sweets in the glass case, ''You shouldn't though...'', ''But I do. Say Ed... Who bought most of the brownies and cookies I made earlier? I made a lot of them.'' She asked surprised. ''Roy did...'', ''Really?... Didn't take him as a sweets person, guess I know how to spark a conversation with him when he comes around again.'' The tanned girl said with a bright laugh and smile closing the glass case, ''Hey Rose... You think it's possible for people to get any redemption or forgiveness back, even if they did something wrong a long time ago?'' Edward asked casually making the usually religious girl look up for a long moment confused. ''Mmm... I know you're not talking about your relationship with Roy... Because I'm nobody to judge a person for who they decide to date to be honest... Plus... you're Agnostic, so this a weird question coming from you of all people.'' Rose said making Edward sigh, ''Never mind...'', ''Yes actually, Someone can be forgiven for their actions. Who says they can't... I know this sounds weird since I'm usually so... Anal and preachy... about following the bible.''. "But I think... Everyone wants redemption and forgiveness at some point in their life. Regardless of that person's religious beliefs, they should definitely have another chance to be forgiven.'' She said smiling to Edward who made a face still bothered, but force a smile almost satisfied, ''Thank you Rose.'', ''Of course Ed... I'm here for you.'' The tanned girl said again but went over to the cashier when someone walked in the small coffee shop, ''Welcome!~''. ''Ah... I'm still hungry...'' Roy thought on his drive back to where Edward worked glancing over to the empty bag, where the sweets were, ''Those were really good sweets... I want more...'' He thought finishing up his coffee when he found parking, ''I'm really hungry...'' Roy said getting out of the car and throwing the trash near him, checking his phone to see no messages from his usually overprotective caretaker. ''Maybe I'll take her some lunch, so she can have something to eat when she wakes up.'' He thought walking in the coffee shop seeing Rose cleaning the machines humming, smiling when she spotted him, ''Ed's in the back grabbing some things, you want me to call him?'' She asked seeing the older male get nervous but force a smile, ''...Actually no... If it's not too much trouble... Can you tell him I'll be back... I need to do something real quick.'' He asked. ''Of course.'', ''Great...I'll... I'll be back.'' Roy said cutting the conversation short, heading back for the door, ''Hey Roy.'' Rose's voice said making him pause in his steps, ''Do me a favor too yeah?'', ''Depends...'', ''Please trust me.'' She said simply smiling holding two small bags towards him, ''Take these, I think you may appreciate them~'' She said seeing the raven haired male walk over and take them, and look at her feeling bad, ''Thank you Rose...''. Riza who was fast asleep on the couch still in her uniform, never felt Roy touch her face or cover her, stirred after Roy had left waking up when Hayate jumped on her, opening her brown eyes to see she was covered, ''Roy?...'' She called out sitting up pausing when seeing  a bag of food and another small bag next to it, with a note on the larger bag that said, 'Feel free to eat this instead of cooking. Also will be with Edward, so sleep well. -Roy.' It read making Riza smile to herself, ''Falling in love with Edward, without realizing it huh Roy?''.
