Caladwen's POV:
I had been following behind the Fellowship of the Ring for hours now. The ride was absolutely boring and at times, a pain in the butt. It was hard following the Fellowship, especially when they were constantly checking their surrounds to make sure no one was following them. But, I managed to stay out of sight anyway. However, staying near them was difficult. Legolas was constantly checking behind them, to make sure they weren't being followed and he was always on his guard. Does he ever stop and rest?
The Fellowship of the Ring ended up stopping for a rest. They stopped in a fairly open place, that had big boulders and small plants. It was difficult for me to get near to them since the land was pretty open. So, I had to stay pretty far back. I had to rely on their tracks, so I could pursue them when they were on the move again.
I watched the Fellowship from where I was. I saw Gandolf the Grey smoking his pipe, while he sat on top of one of the boulders. The dwarf, Gimli, was even discussing matters with the wizard. The hobbit, who carries the ring, was eating some food with another of the hobbits. And the other two hobbits had sword in their hands while one of the men taught them how to fight with them. The other man, Aragorn, simply corrected the two hobbits while he smoked his pipe as well.
I looked over at Legolas. I saw him hopping from boulder to boulder, making sure no danger was near. I admired the elf's cautiousness, but at the same time I hated it. If he would just stop, then I could get my hands on the ring and all of this would end. But, I knew that wasn't going to happen. I stared at the elf from my distance. His pure blonde hair was so unique to the other elves. His eyes were hypnotizing, not that I could see them now, but when I was in Rivendell his eyes caught mine right away.
I quickly snapped out of it when I heard a noise coming from behind me. I turned my head around and saw the Crebain's from Dunland. The Crebain's were birds that were scouts for Saruman himself. I did not like Saruman at all. There is something about that man that I dislike so much.
One of the Crebain birds flew down to me. So I held out my arm and let the bird land on my arm. I saw that there was a small note attached to the birds leg, so I took the note out of its holster and began reading the note Saruman had left for me.
The note said,
You are needed in Isengard. Your father's orders. We need to discuss some things. ~ Saruman
After reading the note, I crumbled it up in my hand and threw it down on the ground. I looked at the bird, who was still standing on my arm. I couldn't just leave to go to Isengard. I needed to follow the Fellowship, so I can retrieve the ring. Then, I got an idea. The Fellowship doesn't want to be known of yet, which means that they will do anything to keep out of sight.
"Fly straight and then head back to Isengard." I said to the bird.
I needed the Crebain's to fly in the direction of the Fellowship, so that they could be scared into taking the Caradhras pass. Once they take the Caradhras pass, I knew that they would travel to the elvish city of Lorien.
"Come on Sadron, we must ride to Isengard." I said to my horse.
I turned Sadron in the direction of Isengard and galloped off. I needed to hurry to Isengard, so that I could catch up with the Fellowship of the Ring.
