Legolas's POV:

I turned my head, to look back at Caladwen. She was all alone in the back of the men. She was seated in her saddle, while her horse stood still. Her weapons were put away, as if she was ready to ride. I turned my horse around and rode over to her. Her blonde hair blew in the air, from the slight breeze. When I made it over to her, she didn't say anything. She simply smiled at me.

"Le fael (thank you), Caladwen." I thanked. "For fighting with us elves and men, along with a dwarf."

Caladwen laughed with a smile on her face. She looked down at her hands, which held her reins. I loved her smile. It was something that brought me happiness to my heart, in a time of sadness. Even though, she looked happy, I could tell that something was bothering her.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

"I must go, Legolas." she replied. "You have won this battle, but there are more to come. And I must be one my way before Gandolf becomes aware of me."

"Stay," I started. "I will tell him what you have done. I am sure he will understand."

"La (no), I can't. I must return back to Mordor, to my father before he gets suspicious of things." continued Caladwen. "I hope that I will get to see you again, Legolas. But, for now I must be on my way."

I was sad to hear this. I didn't want Caladwen to leave. She rode her horse over to me and stopped on the side. She leaned in and gave me a kiss goodbye.

"N'i lû tôl (until then) Legolas." murmured Caladwen. "I will never forget you."

Caladwen rode her horse into a gallop. She galloped up the hill and stopped at the very top. She looked down at me and smiled down at me. My heart sank. I was going to miss her so much.

"Galu (goodbye)." I whispered to myself.

Caladwen continued riding off. It wasn't long before she disappeared over the hill. I could no longer see her. I hoped that I would see that beautiful elf again. Fore if I didn't then my heart would forever be sad. Things were never going to be the same.
