Caladwen's POV:

The day was coming to an end and the dark night took over. There were stars in the sky, but were soon covered up by a rain cloud, that rained down on us. Men of Rohan and elves of Lothlorien lined up on the Helms Deep wall. I stood next to Legolas on his right side, while Gimli was on his left. I grew very fond of Legolas and Gimli's relationship. They both made me laugh from time to time. Legolas had not mentioned a word to anyone about who I am. Since I didn't know anyone and was scared to stand out, so I remained with Legolas.

We all could here the stomping steps of the orc army coming our way. They started out quiet, but as they got closer to Helms Deep their steps became louder. My heart was beating faster and faster as the orc army came closer. I was afraid that an orc would recognize me and flee to tell my father of what I have done. I was suppose to be down with the orcs, but instead I was fighting on the side of men and elves.

The orc army stopped and lined up in their ranks. There were so many of them, that they definitely out numbered the Rohan men, even though they had help from the elves. Aragorn began giving the army of men and elves a pep talk before the battle would commence. The general of the orc army stood up on a big boulder. After that, a brief moment of silence commenced. Then, the orcs began stomping their spears on the ground, making a bunch of noise.

I turned my head and looked up at Legolas. I squeezed his hand tight.

"Let's get this over with." I murmured.

Legolas lifted my hand up to his lips and gently kissed the top of my hand. It sent chills up and down my spine. It was a feeling that I didn't want to forget and I know that I never will.

Men and elves on the wall, including Legolas, drew their bows and arrows. I pulled out my bow and drew back an arrow. We all aimed down at the orc army. I waited to hear orders from Aragorn, but I saw an arrow fired at one of the orcs in the front line, which caused the orc to fall down to the ground, dead.

I lowered my bow and looked to where the fire was fired from. I saw an older gentlemen with one useful eye. I could tell that he didn't mean to fire the arrow, but nevertheless that shouldn't be an excuse. I quickly looked back down at the orc army with fear in my eyes. I knew that this wasn't good. We have just angered them even more. The orcs started screeching, shouting, and making loud roaring noises.

Soon enough, they began charging in our direction.

"Prepare na naur (prepare to fire)!" yelled Aragorn.

The elves, Legolas, and I took our aim again. We waited for Aragorn to give us further orders.

"Their armor na- weak at i iaeth (Their armor is weak at the neck).A beneath i ranc (and beneath the arm)." mumbled Legolas.

"Na (yes)." I replied.

At that moment, Aragorn ordered us to release our arrows and we did just that. Us elves fired our arrows at the orcs, causing a majority of them to fall down dead on the ground. Then, Theoden gave his men orders to fire their arrows. More orcs were killed. We kept reloading and firing our arrows at the orc army; however, no matter how many times we did that, the orc army still kept coming. They came toward us like swarm of bees returning to their hive. It wasn't long before the orcs pulled our their crossbows and started firing at us. I saw orcs and men fall from the wall of Helms Deep.

The battle had just begun.
