Ashley left the hotel and found herself on the streets of Dublin city. What the actual fuck was she gonna do? She was completely and utterly lost.

She shrugged and took a left, following a crowd of people with deep Irish accents, shouting and scurrying towards the pub for some rugby match. She laughed at an american couple drinking their first pint of Guinness. Ashley had been here 18 hours and she'd had four already.

She found herself along a long street with boutiques and high-street stores and buskers playing guitar and singing. After consulting google, she found out she was on Grafton Street, the Dublin version of Fifth Avenue.

She got excited when she saw the American Apparel store, only to be disappointed when she found it closed. She groaned. She wanted to go in and have a look.

She continued down the street and at the very end, she found herself beside another shopping centre, entitled 'St. Stephen's Green Shopping Centre'. On her left was St. Stephen's Green.

She was about to go across to the park when she was stopped by the sound of music and a crowd of Dubliners singing along.

Pushing a little through the crowd, she saw a beautiful girl playing a fiddle and a guy beside her playing guitar. They sang some Irish song Ashley had never heard of before, but the crowd seemed to know it and they happily sang along.

"I went into a warehouse I used to frequent" the girl sang "And I told the landlady me money was spent. I asked her for credit, she answered me name. Such a custom as yours I could have any day"

The brother joined in then "And it's no nay never" the crowd clapped four times and sang "NO NAY NEVER NO MORE WILL I PLAAAAAAY THE WILD ROVER NO NEVER NO MORE"

Ashley couldn't help but smile. It was just a song but it put a smile on everyone's face and brought a crowd of people closer together to celebrate their Irishness.

The little band got a massive cheer when the song was over and most threw notes and coins into their open cases "Thank you" they both chorused "Thank you!!"

Once the crowd had died down, Ashley went over to the girl "That was awesome!"

The girl laughed "Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it"

Ashley handed her a fifty euro note "Here"

The girl gasped "That's way too much!"

"No no take it. You need it more than I do"

The girl gave her a massive smile and, to Ashley's surprise, hugged her "Thank you so much!!" she then threw it in her case.

She then started to put her fiddle away "So where are you from?" she asked Ashley, who continued to stand there, gazing at this beautiful girl.

"Oh. New Jersey. In America"

"Oh wow, that's cool! I'm from Galway, it's the other side of Ireland, on the west coast" she told me

"That's cool, i've never been to Galway"

"Oh you should go before you go home, it's lovely" she smiled, before taking out a pack of cigarettes "Want one?" she offered

"Sure"

After opening the packet, she found there was only one left "Uh..."

"It's fine" I told her "We can share"
