You were jealous of her because she had her arms around the girl of your dreams, the girl you loved since you were 14, the girl whose last name you wish to possess, the girl who was the love of your life and you were jealous of the girl attached to her hip.
You hated that girl. You saw green every time you laid your eyes on her. You hated her perfect hair and her big eyes and soft, porcelain skin and her plump, kissable lips. You hated the fact that they had so much in common, same music taste, same favourite foods, same middle name.
You hated her perfect body and her perfect smile and you hated her.You were in the bathroom one day, washing your hands. When you heard the toilet flush, you didn't care until you saw who was behind the wooden door.
It was her, the girl who spent her nights kissing the love of your life.
"Hello" she said politely, giving you a warm smile before going to the sink next to yours "How are you?"
You gave her a fake smile as she twisted the handle of the faucet "I'm alright, how about you Ashley?" you spat out her name.
She looked at you, noticing the harsh tone obviously apparent in your voice "I...uh...yeah I'm okay" she frowned a little before grabbing some tissue from one of the stalls to dry her hands.
Before leaving, she turned to you "Have I done something wrong on you?"
You grip the sides of the sink, clearing your throat loudly "No"
Ashley stared at you for a moment before sighing softly and leaving the bathroom.

You didn't see either of them until that Friday. There was a party at midnight on the top of the hill in Ashley's house for her birthday. You knew your love would be there so you decided to take the opportunity.
You dressed in your finest things, your brown boots, your Levis, your favourite shirt. For makeup, your face was adorned with MAC and Anastasia Beverly Hills.
You grabbed your present for Ashley (an iTunes gift card because you knew nothing about her and you were broke but you were raised better than to go to a party empty handed) and the small bunch of flowers and you left the house and headed to Ashley's.
Ashley opened the door with a smile and thanked you for the flowers and the card. She said you looked very well and invited you inside.
You couldn't help but stare. She looked beautiful, per usual. Her hair cascading down her back, her hips swaying, Gucci clothing clinging to her slender body. You were jealous and you hated her but you couldn't deny her beauty.
You saw the love of your life and you ran to her, tripping over glass bottles, making a complete fool of yourself.
She laughed and helped you up. Her sweet voice was music to your ears and you wished you could hear it every day.You stood by her side, laughing at the right moment and jumping in the conversation with her friends where possible. You hated her friends, they were loud, fake and tangerine but you put up with them for her.
