Camila has always loved the beach, it was her favourite place to be.
She loved the feeling of sand between her toes and the sound of rushing water and seagulls cawing in her ears. Her first memory was at the beach too. She was only three years old and she saw a mermaid in the water who waved at her before diving into the sea and swimming away. However, Camila's mother discouraged what she called "such nonsense" and told her not to speak of mermaids again.
Her favourite place on the beach was her little spot beside the headland. It was shady but warm and it got some sunlight but it still prevented her from getting burned.
Not that she really needed the shade now, it was night time. The full moon had risen and it was surrounded by hundreds of shiny, sparkling stars.
Camila sat in her spot and closed her eyes, listening to everything around her. The sound of an owl, the sound of the waves crashing against the rocks and rushing in and out of the bay. The sound of a girl singing.
Camila frowned. That was new.
She opened her eyes to look for the source of the sound, only to find no one around, only her.
She sighed, still frowning, but she closed her eyes again, only for the singing to resume.
She had an argument with herself as to whether she should open her eyes or not. After some debate, her mind won and she opened her eyes to find a blonde haired girl looking down at her. She had big, doll-like eyes and a simple pink dress.
"Hello" she said.
"Er...hi?"
The girl started to sing again and she walked straight into the water.
Almost in a hypnotic state, Camila stood up and followed her into the ocean. The girl then pounced on her and pushed her underwater, where Camila screamed and stayed until the darkness consumed her.

Camila opened her eyes.
She sat up sharply, wincing as her head hurt. She felt woozy, so she lay back down again."Oh, you're awake, thank god!" A girl spoke. She had a strong and pretty voice.
Camila opened her eyes again, slowly sitting up. A girl with blue hair sat at the end, softly brushing her hair.
The girl giggled "You still haven't noticed yet"
Camila pulled a face. Noticed what?
She looked around the room she was in. The walls were blue and the floor was sand coloured. The bed she sat on looked normal but it felt squishy.
"Notic-" Camila got a mouthful of water.
She covered her mouth and the girl's eyes widened.
