Part Ten - Getting Spooky

Getting ready for this Halloween party we had been invited to (well you had, I was your plus one, but you're always the social one, so I don't mind) was one of my favourite things I think we'd ever done together, everything was so lighthearted and chill, you were so happy and I was so relaxed, I couldn't believe it.

Normally themed parties made me nervous, especially since this one was an "adult themed" Halloween party where none of the costumes would leave much to the imagination, but, somehow you vanished all of my worries as you were sat in front of the mirror, wearing a black leotard and tutu with a tail pinned to the back, applying makeup to your face (which, somehow you were still extremely good at doing)

I remember at 17 when you went through a phase of wearing makeup, just to prove to everyone that you could do it and you didn't give a shit, and some of the looks you could create were absolutely stunning, and yet, years later, you still retained that skill, and it amazed me.

"Jamesy, do I look cute?" You asked me, turning around and batting your perfectly winged eyelids at me.

"Fucking adorable." I replied.

"Would you fuck me?"

"Connor, you know I'd fuck you, even if you haven't shaved in four weeks, you had the biggest pimple ever on your forehead and you hadn't brushed your hair in days, so yes, of course I'd fuck you whilst you're all made up." I shook my head with an amused smile.

"I knew you'd say that." You smiled back, standing up from where you were sat crossed legged in front of the mirror, going over to the dressing table and picking up your cat ears and putting them on over your head.

I loved the way your confidence beams through everything, the way you can pull any outfit off, the cat costume was unconventional and I know that's what you loved about it, you knew you looked fine as hell, even if you wouldn't admit it.

"You know though, this whole sexy gladiator vibe you've gone for, it's turning me on." You purred into my ear, rubbing up and down my torso, "Those dark eyes and really doing it for me."

I looked down at you and raised an eyebrow, removing your hand from my abdomen as I did so.

"Hmm, Connor, I don't think so." I teased with a small laugh, making you pout, looking up at me with wide eyes "Parties bring out the worst in you I swear."

"If this was any other day, and we didn't have to leave any minute, you'd be gagging for it right now, don't fucking lie." You shook your head with a laugh, lacing your fingers through mine as we headed out of the bedroom and down the stairs to wait for the taxi.

I laughed and agreed with you, briefly kissing your lips before whispering for you to wait 'till later quietly just after I pulled away. I didn't go into any more detail, but you knew I planned to constantly tease you all the way throughout the night, to get you home and to the point where you can't resist anymore.

By this point, this was almost not exciting anymore, the first couple times I did it, worked like a charm, by the end of the party you couldn't help yourself, however, eight years together means most methods of pre-initiating activity had been exhausted already.

The taxi beeped outside and we both carried ourselves out of the door, you locking it behind you, I told the driver the party address before joining you in the back of the cab.

It took about five minutes to get there in what little evening traffic there was, we thanked the driver for driving us and paid the fare before heading up to the front door of Tristan's house, where music was already blasting from inside, we pushed the unlocked door open and entered the house, immediately I was overwhelmed with an anxiety that surrounded me completely, i squeezed your hand as I took a couple deep breaths and we wandered through the house in search of the host.

We found Tristan in the kitchen, holding a drink and deep in conversation with Brad. You pulled me over to join the conversation with our two friends, me trailing slightly behind you.

"Connor! James!" Tris beamed as we stood next to the two boys "You made it!"

"Yep." You smiled, giving Tris a quick hug to say hello, once we'd spent a few minutes talking, both you and I ending up with drinks in our hands before we wandered off to the living room, which was full of semi-drunk people enjoying and thriving in the busy buzz of the party.

We sat on the couch, you sat on my lap so that your back was resting on the arm of the couch and your legs were across the rest of the seat.

"Are you okay Jamesy?" You asked me quietly, gently kissing my lips "You seem very anxious."

"Yeah, I'm fine." I smiled back, squeezing his waist reassuringly before kissing him back "You know I'm fine."

"Mm." He hummed with a small smile "You still look Fucking hot, by the way." He giggled, finishing off his drink before putting it on the floor.

"Nah, you do." I shook my head, blushing a little.

We talked for a little longer before you got up and decided you wanted to join in on the dances, I told you I didn't want to and stayed sat on the couch, quietly sipping my drink, parties were never my thing, but I always came with you, partly to watch you have fun and enjoy yourself, because I love seeing you happy, but also, partly to make sure you stayed loyal, I know you'd never cheat, but the only way I'd ever able to get peace of mind is to come with you, I know it's wrong, and I totally trust you, I promise I do, but because I love you so much, I worry.

I love you, and I'm glad you had an amazing night.

Love always,
James.
