Eyes opened 2

Charlotte's P.O.V

After taking a bath, I changed and went out only to see the room empty.

I still haven't recovered from the shock.

Is he ... serious?

I cupped my stomach

...

As I was walking along the corridors, I saw a person walking to the direction I had been.

Brittany

She sees me.

I see her.

But her glaring eyes are piercing through mine.

Like a piece of a broken glass.

Forcefully pricking on my eyes.

Like as if she wanted to blind me with her sharp stare.

But I stared back, but mine was different. I gave her a face void with any kind of emotion.

I gave her nothing.

I don't know why, but even if she's acting so rude and weird around me, I feel so light when it comes to her.

I thought she was gonna just pass by me, but she stopped.

"Is it true? About that thing being Jayden's child?" she asked.

I looked her in the eyes.

I know.

And I'm not stupid enough to not know that the reason behind those sharp glares were because of him.

But I'm not that dumb to tell her the truth seeing how he himself told her that this was his.

I nodded, "Yes, yes it is."

She clenched her jaws and started walking again.

I don't know about her but one thing's for sure. I will not tolerate how she's treating me right now.

If she thinks she can treat me like that, then who the hell would tell me not to do the same?

Next time, I might just do that.

I started walking to where I am headed to.

To the kitchen.

It's 30 past 10 and I know he's already in there trying to figure out what to cook for the meal.

"Hey."

"Good morning beautiful."

"What are we having?" I asked.

"What would you like?"

I shrugged, "I don't know. Anything's fine, I guess."

He chuckled, "Okay then, we will have stake."

I just nodded as I sat on the counter.

"Can you teach me another piece after lunch?" I asked with a wide smile plastered on my face.

"Of course," he chuckled.

I clasped my hands together as I stood up. Then I went to the music room.

There, I practiced the piece he taught me yesterday.

I was caught up in practicing when the doors slowly opened.

I stopped playing and looked at the person who just came.

But to my surprise, I saw a child.

My eyebrows met, if I remember correctly, I think her name is Abby.
