"Luna!" A little boy squeals as he runs around his mother. Luna, a girl slightly bigger than the boy with pale, blue hair pulled up in pigtails, chases after the boy with a bright smile. "Mom save me!" He laughs as he circles her body for a second time.
The boy's mother laughs as the girl finally catches him and plants a sloppy kiss on his cheek. He fights to pull Luna's arms from around his neck and her lips from his face.
"Luna, let him go," she says, amusement clear in her voice. Luna does as she's told and let's the boy go abruptly, letting him fall to the floor.
"Aw, yuck!" He exclaims, wiping his cheek from her leftover saliva.
"You know you like it, don't even!" Luna counters as she watches him wipe his hand on his trousers.
"In your dreams, Luna! As if!" He threw her daggers, but was fighting to hide his smile. A grin takes over Luna's features as she realizes the hidden smile. Shouting from outside interrupts the three of them from their daze.
Luna sighs, "That's my dad. I better get home. Thanks for having me." She waves as she walks out the kitchen door and to her house next to her friend's.
The boy's mother had always adored Luna and her mother was one of her closest friends. Both families were close despite one being human and the other being werewolves. Her son and Luna had always gotten along. A lot better than they did with their own siblings. She hoped that in the future, their friendship would turn into a relationship which would bind the two families together.
