I'm in my bathroom, and so is Jeremy, as I see him through the mirror, as he has his arms crossed. "I can't believe Tyler Lockwood's a Werewolf." He says. "We're not sure about that yet. The only thing we know for sure is that Mason Lockwood is." I say, and run gel through my hair. "It should be enough easy for us to figure it out." He says, and I put my hands down. "There is no us. I said that I wouldn't keep things from you anymore. That doesn't mean that I want you involved in it." I say, as he puts his hands down, and walks over to me, and I look at him, and he laughs. "By definition of being in this family, I'm involved." He says, holding up his left hand where the ring is on his middle finger. Like always. And he puts his hand down. "This is dangerous, Jeremy. You have to stay out of it, ok?" I ask. "All right. Just saying." He says, and walks out of the bathroom, as I watch him, and sigh, and turn around, and walk to my bedroom, and open my closet, and grab my gray shirt, and close it, and see Stefan there, smiling, as I jump, and gasp, and he smiles more. "Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you." He says, getting closer, about to kiss me, and I notice my door is open. "Oh." I say, and run over to it, looking at him. "Right. Right." He says, and I look in the hall to make sure nobody is coming, and shut the door, and walk over to him, as he's standing by my bed, and throw my shirt on the bed, and put my hands on both sides of his face, and kiss him, and he laughs, as I smile. "Hi." I say, and wrap my arms around his neck, as he wraps his arms around my waist, and we rests our heads on each other's shoulders. "Hey." He says, and I sigh. "You ready for today?" He asks. "No." I say, shaking my head, and we release. "I hate fighting with you, even if it's fake." I say, and he rubs my left arm. "I know. But if Alex thinks that we're fighting, then he'll think he's winning. And that keeps him from following through on his threats." He says. "Yeah, well, that doesn't make it any easier." I say, and he nods. "Neither does knowing that Tony will be there reporting everything back to him." I say. "Hey. Everything's gonna be okay." He says, nodding. "Yes, we have to keep up this ruse for a little while, but it's the best way to keep Alex from hurting anybody." He says, and I look down. "From hurting you." He says, and I look up at him. "Just promise me that he won't get his way with us. We can fake a fight, we can pretend that his threats are tearing us apart." I say, shaking my head. "But none of its real, ok?" I ask, touching the left side of his chest with my right hand. "Ok. How about this?" He asks, and holds both my hands. "Today when we're fighting, if I say, I wish I never met you, Ethan, what I really mean is that I love you." He says, and touches the right side of my face, and I smile, and he takes his hand down. "And when I say, fine, Bastard Stefan, burn in Hell." I say, as he nods. "It really means, I love you, too." I say, and he smiles at me. "Deal." He says, and kisses me. I'm at the Volunteer Picnic, walking with Tony, as we're holding paint buckets, and walling to go paint a Veranda. "So, suddenly, she's in the running for Mother of the Year, just when I'm trying to avoid her the most." He says, as I look at Stefan. "I'm babling." He says, and I look at him. "You don't want to hear all this." He says. "Oh, um. No. I'm sorry." I say, and I crouch down, and set my paint bucket down. "Then what happened?" I ask, as he begins painting. "Well, I was bastard." He says, and I begin painting. "Which is Par for the Course with us. So, how are things with you and Stefan? Anything?" He asks, and I sigh. "No, not since the fight." I say, looking at him, and he looks at me. "He's been pushing me away because he thinks that Alex might get jealous to hurt me." I say, and look back at what I'm painting. "I just don't know how to change his mind." I say, and hear him walk over to me, as I look at him, and he crouches down. "You said that Alex's dangerous. Maybe Stefan's got a point." He says. "Yeah, I know that he's dangerous, and I know that Stefan's just trying to protect me. But it feels like giving up. And I. I just.." I say, looking at what I'm painting. "Just what?" He asks, as I look at him. "I just thought we were stronger than that." I say, and he shrugs his shoulders. I'm painting, and see Stefan by the Wood Cutting, and he looks back at me. "Uh oh." Tony says, and I look at him. "Longing looks are being exchanged." He says, and I put my brush down, and stand up. "I'm gonna go talk to him." I say, and stand up. "No, Ethan. I think it's a bad idea. I." He says, as I walk over to Stefan. "Do you still care about Alex?" I ask, and he looks at me. "Don't do this. Please, don't turn this into something it's not." He says, walking over to me. "So this isn't up for discussion? That's what you're saying?" I ask. "No, I'm saying that this isn't up for discussion right now because we have ears on us." He says, crossing his arms, and I look at Damon and Tony, and they look forward, and I look back at Stefan, and sigh. "Ok. When?" I ask. "I don't know." He says. "I saw him, Stefan. It's like we're the same person. How could you hate him and be in love with me? Are you sleeping with him?" I ask, and wink with my right eye. "No, of course not. You're reaching. I'm not. I'm not Damon." He says, and I wave my right hand up. "How about we don't bring Damon into this right now?" I ask, and put my hand down. "You know, I wish.. I wish I never met you, Ethan." He says, and I nod. "Fine, Bastard Stefan, burn in Hell." I say, and wink, and mouth. "I'm sorry." I say, and slap him with my right hand onto the right side of his face, and walk off. I'm sitting by the small Waterfall on a rock, playing with grass, and Tony sits next to me. "You okay?" He asks. "No." I say, and throw the grass down. "You know, maybe it's for the best." He says. "It's not for the best, Tony." I say, and look at him. "None of this is for the best." I say, and look forward, and sigh. "I'm sorry, ok? I.. I don't mean to take it out on you." I say, and look at him. "You're just bring a good friend." I say, and look forward, and he sighs. "No, I'm not." He says, and I look at him. "I'm not being a good friend at all. Is she leaving?" He asks, looking up. "Where's my Mom going?" He asks, standing up, and I look to my right, and see the Sheriff on the phone walking off, and I hear him run off, and I turn around, get up, and run after him, and see the Sheriff walk off. "What's going on?" I ask, looking at Tony, and he shakes his head. "I don't know. Something's up." He says with his arms crossed. We're walking up a hill. "Where are you going? What's going on?" I ask, and he turns around, looking at me. "I need to be able to hear better." He says, and I stand next to him on his left, looking forward. "Hear what?" I ask. "Something's wrong, Ethan." He says, and I look at him, and face forward. "Tony." I say, looking at him, and he puts his left hand up, and shushes me, and puts his hand down, and turns around, as do I. "Oh, God." He says. "What is it?" I ask, and he looks at me. "Stefan and Damon." He says, and looks forward, and runs off. "What?" I ask, looking forward, and run off. We're running through the woods, and stop. "What is it?" I ask. "They've been here." He says, and crouches down, as I look at him. "What?" I ask, as he touches a plant, and there's blood on his right fingers, as he looks at me, and I hear a twig snap. "What are you two doing out here?" Mason asks, as I look at him. "Have you seen Stefan?" I ask. "Yeah, Ethan, I've seen him. I've seen Damon, too." He says, approaching me. "Where are they?" I ask. "You don't need me for that. I'll let your friend here sniff them out." He says, and I look at Tony. "Does your Mother know what you are? I'm happy to tell her." He says, as Tony runs towards him, and Mason grabs me, as I gasp, and has his left arm around my throat, and his right around the back of my neck, as I hold onto his arms. "Don't be stupid. Necks snap easy around here." He says. "I can take you." Tony says. "Want to bet?" Mason asks. "Yeah, I do." Tony says, dashing to us, and Mason lets me go, and Tony pins him against a tree, as Mason grunts, and I'm on the ground. "Told you." Tony says, and knees him in the balls, and Mason falls, grunting, and kicks him to a tree, as he's about to get up, as I stand up, gasping, looking at Mason. "Come on." Tony says, and I look at him, as he's running off, and so do I. We arrive to the entrance of an underground staircase. "What is that?" I ask, as he holds his right hand up, and he covers his mouth with his right hand. "Tony. Tony, what is it?" I ask, looking at the entrance. "My Mom. She's killing them." He says, as I look at him. "What?" I ask, and turn around, running to the stairs, and he grabs my left hand with his right, as I look at him. "No, no, no. Ethan, no." He says. "We have to stop her." I say. "No, I can't. Ethan, she's going to find out about me." He says, letting my hand go, and I turn around, and run down the stairs. "Ethan!" He exclaims. I open the door, as it creaks, and grab a wooden board, and see a cop, and hit him with it, knocking him unconscious, and drop the wooden board, and run to another room, panting, and see the Sheriff holding a gun up to me. "Ethan! What are you doing?" She asks. "You can't kill them. I'm not going to let you." I say, and a cop comes from behind me, as I look at him, and he shoves me forward, and holds a gun up to me, and the door closes, as he looks behind him. "What was that?" He asks. "Who else is with you?" Sheriff asks, as the guy looks at me, and points his gun to the right. "What the." He says, as I feel a breeze pass me, and see Tony biting the cop, as he screams, and another cop shoots him, aiming for Tony, and Tony rushes to the other cop, and knocks him to the ground, making him unconscious, and Tony hisses, and steps forward, his mouth covered in blood, and Sheriff is in shock. "Hey, Mom." Tony says, with his face normal. I'm next to Stefan on the ground, as he's leaning down, groaning, as I'm rubbing his back, and I see Damon next to me on the ground. "You need to drink some Deputy blood." Damon says to Stefan. "Oh, no. I'll be fine. It's going to take a little bit longer." He says, grunting. "Damon's right, you know. If there's ever a time to break your diet." Tony says, as I'm looking at him, and interrupt him. "He said he didn't want it, ok?" I ask, and look back at Stefan. "This is a most unfortunate situation." Damon says, as I'm touching the left side of Stefan's face, and he looks up. "Two Deputies dead. And you. What am I going to do with you?" Damon asks the Sheriff. "You won't tell anyone, will you? Mom? Mom? Please!" Tony exclaims, as I look at him, and back to Stefan. "Look, I know we don't get along and that you hate me, but I'm your son. And you'll do this for me, right? Mom, please. He will kill you." He says. "Then kill me." Sheriff says. "No." Tony says. "I can't take this." Sheriff says, crying, as I look at her, and see Damon next to her. "Kill me now." She says. "But you were going to drag it out so painfully." Damon says, and lifts her up. "No, no, no, no!" Tony exclaims. "Damon, don't!" Stefan exclaims. "Damon, please!" I exclaim, and he looks at us. "Relax, guys. No one's killing anybody." Damon says, and I look back at Stefan. "You're my friend." Damon says, and I look at him, as he's looking at us. "We got to clean this up." He says. I'm at the Salvatore Boarding House, as it's nighttime, and open the door, and see Tony with a bag. "Hey. Sorry. That took forever." He says, walking in. "I just didn't know how long my mom was gonna be here." He says, and I shut the door, looking at him. "Damon says it'll take three days tops for the vervain to leave her system. Maybe even sooner." I say. "Hey." Tony says to Stefan, as we look at him, and Tony turns back around. "Hey." Stefan says, and Tony looks back at him. "Get some Bunny in you?" Tony asks, and looks forward, as we're walking. "Yeah. I'm feeling much better, thank you. We arrive to the Cellar, and stop walking. "Can you keep Tony far away from me please? I don't wanna see him." Sheriff says. "He's your son, Liz." Damon says. "Not anymore. My son's gone." She says. "You have no idea how wrong you are about that." Damon says, and Tony walks off, and I follow him. "Tony wait.." I say, and he walks off, and I sigh, and walk back to the Cellar, looking for Stefan. "Stefan? I think we should." I say, and see him holding a blood bag. "What are you doing?" I ask. "Alex took a little Vervain every day and built up a tolerance to it." He says, and looks at me, and back to the bag. "I could do the same with blood. I could learn to control myself on it. "But you can't, Stefan. You don't have to." I say, shaking my head, and he looks at me. "I almost died tonight, Ethan, because I was too weak." He says, and I step forward. "But the last time that you drank human blood." I say, shaking my head, and he interrupts me. "I told you I'd find a way to stop Alex, didn't I?" He asks, walking over to me. "Well this is it. This is the only way, because he's stronger than me. And unless that changes this, I can't protect you." He says, shaking his head, and I sigh, and tap my left ear with my left index finger, and put my hand down. "Can we talk about this later?" I ask. "He can hear us wherever we are because he drinks this." He says, holding the bag up, and I look at it. "This is. This is the only thing that can help me." He says. "Are you serious? Or are you pretending to fight?" I ask, shaking my head, and so does he. "Because I can't tell if." I say, and he interrupts me. "No, this is real. No more pretend." He says, shaking his head, and I run look to my left, and run off. I see Tony on the couch, holding a pillow. "Can I take you home?" I ask, and he shakes his head, and sniffles. "I can't go home." He says, and looks down. "Why not?" I ask, and he looks at me. "Because I'm scared." He says, and I approach him. "Why are you scared?" I ask, and sit in front of him. "Tony, you can talk to me." I say. "Alex's going to be there, and he's gonna want me to tell him everything that happened today." He says, and I look down, and up to my left. "He told me I had to spy on you and report back to him." He says, and I look at him. "I know. And I've been so mad at you. But then, I tried to put myself in your position so that I could understand why you would do this to me, and to Stefan, because he's been such a friend to you." I say, and sit next to him. "Who did he threaten?" I ask. "Matt." He says, crying. "He threatened Matt. And I'm so scared of him, Ethan. I am so scared of him." He says. "And you should be." I say, and he nods. "Tony, we all should be." I say, shaking my head, and so does he. "Why is he doing this? What does he want?" He asks, as I shake my head. "That's the Billion dollar question." I say, and he exhales, and I hug him, resting my chin on top of his head, as he's laying down some. I'm crouching next to him, as he's asleep, and I cover him up with a blanket, and stand up, walking up the steps, and see Damon. "Tony's sleeping on the couch." I say, pointing behind me with my left index finger, and put it down. "I heard. And you?" He asks. "I'm going home." I say, and walk over to the door, and turn around. "What you did for Tony's Mom.. that's the Damon that was my friend." I say, giving a small smile, and he gives a quick small smile, and nods, and I turn back to the door, open it, and walk out. "Hey." He says, and I stop, looking at him. "Stefan didn't drink the People blood, if you were curious. But he needs to. And deep down, you know that." He says, and I turn my body to face him, and he nods, and walks off. I'm in the Library, and see him on the couch, with his back to me. "You can come in." He says, looking to his right, and forward. "Do you really think you can control it?" I ask, and he looks down, and back to his right. "I don't know." He says, and looks forward again. "But if I don't try.." He says, and I walk down the steps, and over to him, as he looks at me. "So, a little bit every day?" I ask, and he nods, and looks forward, and back to me. "Yeah, just a few drops of blood in my system." He says, as I move closer. "I think it's worth trying." He says, looking down, and back to me, and I look forward, and back to him. "So do I." I say, and move closer. "But I don't want you to do it alone." I say, and take a Letter Opening knife, and look at it, and back to him. "What are you doing?" He asks, and I cut my left hand, gasping, and put the knife down, and hold my right hand, walking over to him. "It's you and me, Stefan." I say, and sit down next to him, in front of him, and hold my left hand out to him. "Always." I say, and he takes my hand, gently, with both hands, and he feeds on my hand, and stops, as I gasp, and see his veins, and he grunts, and exhales, looking at me with his red eyes, and I put my hands on both sides of his face, and kiss him, and see his eyes are closed, and he opens them, and his face is normal, and he kisses me again.
