It's the next morning, as I slowly wake up, and notice I'm in a motel room, and touch my forehead with my head still throbbing, and look around, and see Ben asleep in a chair, and I sit up, quickly, after putting my hand down, and lean back against the bed frame, and look around, and see the door. I look on the floor, and see his foot is outstretched. I slowly get up, and put my feet on the floor, gently, as I look at him, and see him shaking his head, asleep, and I look down, and slowly step over his foot, and walk to the door, and reach for the chain, and look back at him, and look back at the chain, and unlock it, slowly, and look back at him, and back to the door. I turn the lock, as I reach for the door. "I wouldn't." He says, as I turn around, and gasp, and lean back against the door, and he approaches me, trying to compel me. "Don't try to escape. Don't even move. Do you understand?" He asks. "I understand." I say, and he smirks, and walks off, and I open the door, and see black haired girl grabs my hair, and pushes me back, as I'm trying to fight back. "Seriously?!" She exclaims. "I told him not to move! I did that eye thing you taught me." He says, as she walks to the bathroom door. "You forgot the lesson about Vervain. He dates a vampire, Ben. Duh!" She exclaims, and pushes me against the wall. "Who are you? What do you want?" I ask. "Doesn't matter." She says, and pushes me to the wall, opens the door, and shoves me in, as I touch the wall, catching myself, and hear the door shut, and I run over to it, banging on it, breathing heavily, and stop, and turn the light on, and walk over to the boarded window, trying it. I look around and see Mark in the bathtub, with his eyes closed. "Mark?" I ask, running to him, gasping, and crouch down, holding his face. "Oh, my God!" I exclaim. I run over to the sink, turn it on cold, grab a rag, and run some water under it, and turn the sink off, and run back over to him, pressing it against his forehead. "Mark." I say, as he begins to wake up. "Ethan?" He asks, looking at me. "Oh! You're ok!" I exclaim, quietly. "My head." He says, turning from me. "Come here." I say, and he grabs my right wrist. "Oh, my God! Ben is a." He says, as I put my left index finger to my lips. "Sh." I say, and put my finger to my left ear. "They can hear." I whisper, pointing behind me, and put my head down. I get up, and run back over to the sink, and turn both faucets on, and look at the door, and run back over to him. "I was so stupid!" He exclaims, quietly, groaning, and I touch the left side of his face with my left hand. "Oh, he had all of us fooled. They can't sense each other." I say. "What's going on? Why are we here?" He asks. "It must have something to do with the Tomb and Emily's Spell Book." I say. "Spell Book?" He asks. "Damon said that it could be used to open the Tomb." I say. "Why didn't I know about any of this?" He asks, and I look at the door, and back to him, as we both sit up. "I was trying to keep you out of it, hoping it would never come to this." I say. "Come to what?" He asks. "They need a Witch or Warlock.. to break the Spell and let the Vampires out." I say. "No way." He says, and I shake my head. "I know." I say, getting interrupted by the door opening, and turn around, looking at Ben, with my arms on Mark's shoulders, and he looks at us, and turns the sink off. "Your wasting your time. I'm not going to help you." He says, and Ben smiles, walking over to us, and crouches down, grabbing the back of my hair, as I let go of Mark. "That's why he's here. Motivation for you to behave. You know, you shouldn't be so desperate. You made it too easy. Do anything funny and I'll snap his left arm." He says, and quickly pulls me up, and heads to the door, as Mark is standing up, and I groan. "She needs to talk to you." He says, letting me go, and pushes me out the door, as I grunt, and catch the chair, and look back at him, and he smiles, and shuts the door. "Well, well.." She says, as I look at her. "Ethan Gilbert. You really are Alex's Doppelganger." She says, smiling. "You must have the Salvatore Boys reeling." She says. "One of them try to kill me in exchange for the book. So, who are you?" I ask. "I'm Anna. Your brother may have mentioned me." She says, and I sigh. "I mean, we're, like, practically dating." She says, blinking three times. She walks over to the window, and holds the right side of the blinds, with her left, looking out it, as I have my arms crossed. "Mark's not gonna open the Tomb." I say. "Oh, I think he will." She says. "Do you really want Alex out that bad?" I ask, and she looks at me, putting her hand down. "Trust me. No one I know wants to see that boy again. Except Damon, the Lovestruck Idiot." She says, and looks back out the window. "Then what is it?" I ask, as she crosses her arms, and looks at me. "Or who is it?" I ask. "My Mother's in there." She says, and puts her arms down, walking over to me. "Alex couldn't help himself. He just had to toy around with both of the Salvatore Brothers." She says, and puts her left hand on her hip. "And when he got caught, so did my Mother." She says, as I look down, and back up to her. "I watched Johnathan Gilbert take her away." She says. "I'm sorry." I say, shaking my head. "You really mean that, don't you?" She asks, as I'm looking down, and back up to her, and she chuckles lightly. "Yeah, I think we'll skip the Dead Mom bonding so you can start serving a purpose." She says. "Which is what?" I ask. "Leverage." She says, and looks at the table, and picks up my phone, and looks back to me. "This belong to you?" She asks, as I put my arms down, and reach for it with my right hand, and she pulls it back. "Ah. Ah." She says, turning around, and walks over to the window, as I sigh, and put my arms down, as she had the phone to her ear, and faces forward, looking down. "Mm. He's fine, for now. Tell me you have the Grimoire and he'll stay fine. Or Ben might just have to snap his left arm. Which means your brother has it. And I have the Warlock. So one of you had better meet me in the very Public Square in thirty minutes so we can safely discuss how fun it's going to be to work together." She says, as her head is lifted up, smiling, and hangs up. She runs over to the bathroom door, and bangs on it. "I'm leaving." She says, and walks over to the front door, as the bathroom door opens, and I see Ben and Mark walk out, Ben holding Mark's right arm with his left. "Keep them buttoned down. Compulsion won't work. Just use violence." She says. "Right. I got that." He says, looking at me, as I'm sitting down, and Ben looks forward, walking over to the other bed next to me on my left, and throws Mark down. "Sit. Behave." He says, and turns around, taking his jacket off, and looks back to us. "So you're the key to this. Literally." He says, and the door shuts. "The one who opens the door." He says, folding his jacket, and sets it down on the chair, and sits on the right armrest. "Tell me, how long have you been a Warlock?" He asks, as I cross my arms. "Is there anything to drink here?" I ask, and he looks at me, and stands up, walking over to me. "Are you offering?" He asks, smiling, and I look down, and back up to him. "There's water on the nightstand." He says, and I turn to the nightstand, and grab the water, and sit down, facing forward, about to sip it. "Hey. Can I have a sip?" Mark asks, as I look at him, and he nods, and I look at Ben, and hand him the water, and he throws it on Ben, as I look at him, and Mark sets his hand on fire. "Woah!" Ben exclaims, gasping, and we run towards the door, and Mark opens it, and runs out, and Ben grabs me, lifting me off the ground. "Come back in, shut the door!" He exclaims, as I groan. "Don't hurt him!" Mark exclaims, as he walks in "Don't make me!" Ben yells, as I look at him, and Mark shuts the door. "Lock it." Ben says, and I look at Mark, and he puts the chain over the door. I'm sitting on the left bed, and Mark is sitting on the right, as Ben is walking around. "Warlocks don't have eternal life, right? So you guys can die." Ben says, stopping, and Mark looks up at him. "Yeah, we can die." He says, and Ben turns around, walking around more. "Ah. That sucks." He says, smiling, and the door kicks open, and we see Stefan, and Ben staggers backwards from the light, and Stefan pulls the blinds back, and Ben crawls over to us. "Stefan!" I exclaim, smiling, as Mark and I get up, running. "Let's get outside." He says, as Mark and I run out the door. We're walking into Mark's Grams' house. "Are you okay?" He asks. "He threatened to snap my left arm, but yeah, I'm fine." I say, and he kisses the top of my head, and holds my left hand, and we walk into see Grams and Mark sitting at the table. "So what do we do now?" I ask. "For now, you need to stay here." He says, as I look at him, and he lets go of my hand, and walks over to Mark and Grams, and crosses his arms. "A Prisoner, in my own home? I don't think so." Grams says. "I can't protect you if you leave the house." He says, shaking his head. "We'll protect ourselves." She says, and I look at her. "We need to let him have Alex back." I say, and look at Stefan. "He's not going to stop until he gets him. If we help him, maybe that ends it." I say. "No!" Mark exclaims, as I look at him. "He doesn't deserve to get what he wants." He says. "What other choice do we have?" I ask, and look up at Stefan, and he looks to the left, and down. "Witch and Warlock being pulled down by Vampire Problems. As much as we tried to do to stay out of it." She says, looking at Stefan, and then to Mark, and back up again. "I'll open the Tomb. You get your brother's boy, and destroy the rest with fire. Then this will be all over." She says, and looks at Mark. "We still have to get Damon to agree." Stefan says, looking down at Grams, as I look at him. "He already agreed once." I say, and he looks at me. "Yeah, and then we double crossed him. So now he's angry." He says. "He's hurt. There's a difference. I think I know what I have to do." I say. I soon arrive to the Salvatore Boarding House Library, and see Damon putting on his leather jacket, as I'm in Stefan's formal long sleeve, and he looks at me. "I'm going to have to change the locks. Did you stage a jailbreak?" He asks, grabbing the book. "Stefan." I say. "Oh, brother. Ever the White Knight." He says, fake smiling. "I convinced Mark to help you." I say. "I doubt that." He says, and I begin to walk over to him. "I'm not going to say that I'm sorry we got the Grimoire without you last night, because I'm not, really." I say, stopping, as I shake my head. "Well, at least you're honest." He says, fake smiling. "I was protecting the people I love, Damon. But so were you, in your own, twisted way. And as hard as it is to figure, we're all on the same side, after the same thing." I say, walking down the stairs. "Not interested." He says, smiling, and begins to walk off. "Yes, you are. Because you were willing to work with us yesterday." I say, and he stops, and turns around. "Fool me once, shame on you." He says. "Ok, when we were in Atlanta, why didn't you use your Compulsion on me?" I ask, and he walks over to me, and sets the book down. "Who's to say I didn't?" He asks, smiling, and I shake my head. "You didnt." I say, as he crosses his arms. "I know you didn't. But you could have." I say, and walk closer to him. "You and I.. we have something." I say, and he looks down with his eyes. "An understanding." I say, and he looks back up to me. "And I know that my betrayal hurt you, different from how it is with you and Stefan." I say, shaking my head. "But I'm promising you this now, I will help you get Alex back." I say, and he groans. "I wish I could believe you." He says, and I put my hands to the back of my necklace, and unhook it, and take it off, holding it in my right hand. "Ask me if I'm lying now." I say, putting it on the table, without losing eye contact, and he looks down with his eyes, and back up to me, and he approaches me. " You know Anna won't stop, by the way, no matter what I do." He says. "Then we'll deal with it." I say, and he picks up my necklace, without losing eye contact, and shakes his head, as I look at his hands, and he puts it around my neck, as I look at him, and he hooks it. "I didn't compel you in Atlanta because we were having fun. I wanted it to be real. I'm trusting you. Don't make me regret it." He says, and turns around, and walks off. It's nighttime, as we arrive to the old Cemetery, as I see people cheering and partying. "The Duke Party. I forgot. I hope they stay clear of the Church." I say. "Your hope, not mine. "Ethan, hey." Matt says, as I see him with Tony, as they're both in Beanies and warm clothes. "Ethan, oh, my God. Where have you been?" Tony asks, as him and Matt hold hands. Tony's left and Matt's right, and I look up at them. "Long story, no time to tell it." Damon says. "Wasn't talking to you." Tony says. "Sure you were." Damon says, as I look at him. "We haven't met. I'm Matt." Matt says, as I look at him. "Matt, there's a reason we haven't met. You and I are going that way." Damon says, as I look at him, and he points to the right, and loops his left arm into my right, and I look at Matt and Tony, as we begin walking off. "I'm sorry, you guys." I say, facing forward, and we walk off. We soon arrive to the old Church, as he let my arm go, and whistles. "Brother, Magical beings." Damon says, as I walk over to Stefan, as he approaches me. "Everything okay?" He asks. "I just want to get this over with. Are we ready?" I ask, facing Mark and Grams. "I guess so." Mark says, as Grams looks at him. We're underneath the old Church, as Grams is lighting torches. "Air. Earth. Fire." She says. "Water." Mark says, holding up his water bottle, and Grams takes it, pouring water into the circle. "That's it? Just water from the tap?" I ask. "As opposed to what?" She asks. "I just figured maybe it would have to be blessed or Mystical or something." I say, and she smiles to me, and turns back around, and her and Mark crouch down. "What's that?" Stefan asks, shinning his flashlight at Damon, as he pulls something out of his pocket. "It's for Alex. Gotta have something to get him going. Unless your boy's offering a vein to tap." Damon says, as I look at him, and he looks at me, and I look at Stefan, as he's looking at me, and he turns around, and sighs, putting his hands in his pocket. "Admit it." Damon says, as Stefan looks at him. "You can't wait to get rid of me." Damon says, smiling, and Stefan chuckles, looking forward, and back to Damon. "I can't wait to get rid of you." He says, as Damon is looking forward, and looks back at him. "Hm." He says. "We're ready." Mark says, as we all look at him, and Grams looks at us. I'm holding onto Stefan's left arm with my right, as I'm freezing, and he wraps his arms around me, as Grams and Mark are chanting. "What are they saying?" Damon asks, looking at us. "Sounds Latin." Stefan says, as I look down. "I don't think it's Latin. Even though Latin is a Witch's most common language." I say. "What are you? Witchpedia?" Damon asks, as I look at him, and roll my eyes, and the flames rise higher, as Stefan wraps his arms around me a little tighter. "What's happening?" I ask, and we hear an opening, and the Tomb door opens, as Stefan shines a light at it, and we look at it. "It worked!" Mark exclaims. "Of course it worked." Grams says, and Damon looks at us. "We have some fires to build." He says, and Stefan looks at me. "I'm gonna go get the gasoline, I'll be right back." He says, putting his arms down, and kisses my forehead, and walks off, and I shine my flashlight at the Tomb, and Damon looks at me. "You ready?" He asks, extending his left hand. "What?" I ask, looking at Grams and Mark. "You think I'm going to go in there by myself so you can seal me in?" He asks, grabbing my right arm, and pulls me to him, as I look at him, and look at Grams. "Don't take him in. I'll bring the walls down." She says, and I look at him. "You'll bring the walls down if I don't. You think I trust you?" Damon asks. "As much as I trust you." She says. "Enough! Both of you." I say, looking at her. "Look, he needs leverage. He needs to know that you're not going to shut the door when he gets inside. I get it." I say, and look at him. "I'll go." I say, and he let's me go, and grabs a torch. "May I?" He asks, as I look at them, as he walks past me, and I nod, and turn around, following him. I pull my hoodie up a little, closer to my neck, and hear clattering and whispers. "What is that?" I ask, looking around with my flashlight, scared. "They can sense you." He says, walking off some. "Now, where is he?" He asks, and vampspeeds off. "Damon!" I exclaim, quietly. I'm walking around, looking for Damon. "Damon? Damon!" I whisper yell, and hear a noise behind me, and turn around, and drop my flashlight, and gasp, and pick it up, and see a bunch of corpses, and hear more noise, and turn around. And gasp, and run backwards, and fall, and see a male corpse, and he opens his eyes, and they're bloodshot red, and I scream, and get up, running, and see Anna, and she shines her flashlight on me. "You must have a taste for it. You scream and shriek and even bother to escape, but then you just come right back to it." She says, as I walk backwards, and feel someone, and move my feet away, and look down at a female corpse. "Mother!" She exclaims, running over to her, and crouches down, touching her arms, and she puts her hands down, and looks at me. "Your boyfriend did this, you know." She says. "His Father did." I say. "And Johnathan Gilbert." She says, standing up. "Made a choice a long time ago that it would be Gilbert Blood that brought her back to life. I had Jeremy all ready to go, but.." She says, as I turn around, and she's in front of me, and grabs me, as I gasp, and she bites my right wrist, as I scream, and she pushes me down, and is about to feed my wrist to her Mother. "Please, don't!" I exclaim, crying, and her Mother's lips touch my wrist. "Let him go!" Stefan yells, shoving Anna off. "No!" She exclaims, and Stefan grabs me, lifting me up. "Go, go. I'll be right behind you." He says, kissing my cheek, and he pushes me, lightly, and I run off, and out of the Tomb, and see Grams and Mark holding the Grimoire. "Ethan, Stefan.." He says. "He's right behind me." I say, and Grams nods, and I turn around, and see Stefan not walking out of the Tomb. "Stefan, what are you doing? Come on." I say, walking over to him. "It's going to be okay." Mark says, as I look at him. "We'll fix it." He says. "What is it?" I ask. "I can't." Stefan says, as I look at him. "Can't? Can't what?" I ask. "The Spell's still up, we can't get them out. Yet." Mark says, as I look at him, and back to Stefan. "You went in there not knowing if you could come back out?" I ask, and he looks down, and back up to me. "Oh, my God." I say, crying. "I heard you scream." He says, and I close my eyes, and open them. "We can't leave him in there. We promised him, both of us." I say, and he nods. "I know." He says. "Even if we're able to break through the seal, we won't be able to hold it for long." She says, as Stefan looks at her, and he looks at me, nodding. "You better come back safe. Or I will come into that Tomb myself." I say, and he runs off. They begin chanting, as I'm walking around, and the walls start to crumble, as I stop, and I see the flames rise higher, and turn around. "I think it's working!" I exclaim, and see Anna and her Mother walk out, and I step to the left. "I just wanted my Mother back. Jeremy's fine. He's outside. We won't touch him." She says, and I hear the flames dying, and turn around. "Mark, keep going!" Grams says, and looks at me. "You better hurry." She says to me, and I turn around, and run to the Tomb door. "Stefan, they can't hols it much longer!" I yell, and turn around, and see one of the torches die, and I turn around, and run inside the Tomb. "Damon!" I exclaim, as they both look at me. "Please." I say, and he pulls his jacket, and walks past me, and we run out of the Tomb, but Stefan trips. "No!" I yell, as I look at him, and he gets up, and I pull him towards me, as the Tomb closes, and he hugs me, and I gasp, crying, and he kisses my forehead. "I'm okay. Sh." He says, rubbing my back, and I cry into his chest, and he wraps his arms around me, protectively. We're running out from underneath the old Church, and run over to Jeremy, as he's on the ground. "He's okay." Stefan says, and Jeremy groans. "He's all right." Stefan says, and I sigh, and hear footsteps, and look at Damon, and stand up, walking over to him, and he looks at me, and I hug him, resting my head on his shoulder, as he holds my waist. "I'm sorry." I say. I'm walking out of my bathroom, and into Jeremy's room, holding water in my right hand, as Aspirin in my left, with a rag over my right arm, and see him on the bed, and hand his his water, as he's touching his forehead. "How's your head?" I ask. "Uh, it's, uh, it's all right." He says, as I hand him the Aspirin. "I just. I wish I knew how I passed out. I didn't drink that much, I swear." He says. "And you don't remember anything?" I ask, as he looks to the right, and back to me. "No. The whole thing's pretty cloudy. I just.." He says, and I nod. "I know how this looks. I'm. I'm sorry." He says, and I shake my head. "No, Jeremy, don't be sorry. You didn't do anything, ok?" I ask, and he nods. "Ok." He says, and I look down, and back up to him. "I've got two head over to Mark's for a little bit, but is there anything that you need?" I ask. "Oh, no, I'm just. I'm gonna crash." He says, smiling, and shakes his head. "Ok. Well, Jenna's here, and I'll be back soon." I say, nodding, and walk off, out of his room, and down the stairs. I'm on the phone with Stefan, using the home phone. "I just got to Mark's." I say. "Everything all right?" He asks. "Yeah. How's Damon? Is he going to be okay?" I ask. "I don't know. Can I call you later?" He asks. "Yeah, of course." I say. "Thanks for saving me." He says. "Any time." I say, smiling. "I love you." He says. "I love you, too." He says, and hangs up. "Ethan!" Mark yells, crying, and I run to the Living Room, and see Grams, dead, as Mark's crying. "She's not breathing! She's just not breathing! Please, wake up!" He exclaims, as I run to grab the phone, and dial nine one one, and run back to the Living Room. "Nine one one. What is you're emergency?" A female voice asks. "Yes, I need an ambulance. Three one one six, Elm Street. It's an emergency." I say, and hang up. "No, no! I can fix this!" He exclaims, as I rub his shoulders. "Grams, I can fix this!" He yells. "Mark! Mark!" I exclaim, and he cries more, as I cry. "Mark." I say.
