I'm still in the Cellar, leaning against the wall, waiting for Elijah to wake up. I look to my left at the door, and back to him, and he groans, as I gasp, and his body begins moving, and I get up, running towards him, and crouch next to him, and he looks at me. "Elijah." I say, and he gasps. "Elijah." I say, and his skin color begins to change. "Alexzandr!" He exclaims. "Elijah!" I exclaim, quietly. "It's me, it's Ethan. You're fiancé." I whisper, and he gasps. "Please. Sh." I say, putting my left index finger to my lips, and back down. "Oh, my God." He says, and lays back down, closing his eyes. I look behind me at the door, and then to him, and get closer, and his body moves, again, as I scoot back, gasping, as he's tilted to the left, and he slowly begins to get up, and stands up, as I scoot back again, and look up at him. "I can't. I can't breathe!" He exclaims, and falls on his knees, and looks at me. "What's happening to me?" He asks, and I shake my head, and he coughs, looking down. "I." I say, and he dashes to the wall, hitting it, as I look at him, and stand up, running over to him, and put my arms around him, and he looks at me, as I put my arms down, holding his left arm. "I can't.. I can be in this house." He says. "You're not invited in." I say. "You need to get me out of here." He says, and runs off, hitting the wall, as I let my arms go, and he dashes off, and I run after him, looking behind me, and forward again, and see the door open, with him crouching down, and it's daylight out, and I run to the door, gasping, and he stands up, dashing to the door, as I gasp again. "What happened?" He asks. "Sh." I say, shushing him with my right index finger, pointing up, and to my right ear, and up again. "I'll tell you. Not here." I whisper, shaking my head, and put my hand down. "I didn't want to have to. Can I trust you?" I whisper. "Can I trust you?" He whispers, and I look to my right, and up, and sigh, and back to him, and offer him the dagger, and he looks at it, and then to me, and back at the dagger, taking it with his right hand, as I look at it, and back up to him. "Talk about Marriage Counseling." He whispers, and I roll my eyes.

I'm in my car with Elijah, as he's drinking a blood bag in his right hand, and I stop the car, and sigh, and look at him. "You look better." I say, as I see his color is back, and he his hand down. "Where did you get the dagger?" He asks. "I'll tell you everything. But we have to work together, Elijah." I say, shaking my head. "If we can't get through this, I don't know how we're going to get through a marriage. I need your word." I say. "Your ability to make demands has long passed. No matter how much I care for you." He says, and I look forward, and shake my head. "No demands. In offering you my help." I say, and look at him. "Because soon, we're gonna be a sort of team. And in return, I want yours." I say. "And why should I even consider this?" He asks, and looks at me. "The same reason you haven't killed me. And well, the marriage thing. You need my help to kill Klaus. And I need you." I say, and my phone vibrates, and I pick it up with my right hand, and see it's Stefan. "Where are you? Are you okay?" He asks. "Yes, I'm fine." I say, nodding. "Where's Elijah?" He asks, and I look at Elijah. "He's right here." I say. "Where? I'm on my way." He says, and I look forward. "No, Stefan, Elijah and I need some time alone. And, not sexually." I say. "Listen to me. He can't be trusted. He'll use you to get to Klaus." He says, and I look at Elijah. "Elijah is a noble man, Stefan." I say, and Elijah smiles. "He lives by a code of honor. I can trust him. He knows that I'd be incredibly stupid to betray him again. By removing the dagger, I have proven myself." He says. "You can't do this alone." Stefan says. "It's my decision, Stefan. Please respect it. And make sure that Damon doesn't do anything stupid. I'll be in touch." I say, and hang up, and look at Elijah, and he offers his left hand out, and I look at it, and back up to him, and he smiles, and I put my phone in his hand, and he puts it in his right, looking forward, and puts it in his jacket pocket. "He's here." I say. "Klaus is here?" He asks, and I nod. "He's taken over Alaric's body." I say. "Of course he has." He says, looking forward. "One of his favorite tricks." He says, and looks back to me. "Well, what are his other tricks? What is he going to do next? You're the only one who knows him." I say. "Yes, I do." He says. "Since we're being honest. Klaus is stupid." I say. "Excuse me?" He asks. "You see. I knew Alex would come for the Moonstone, so I carved a bar of soap to make it look like it. God, was he stupid. But then, I also needed leverage. So I formed one out of glass, stone, water, and paint I learned from a book and gave him the fake one in exchange for him to leave after I die. So, I fooled him twice." I say, smiling. "You do realize he'll come for you once he realizes that it's a fake?" He asks. "Yes. I know. That's why I'm going to make the deal again. I soak it in Vervain everyday. It's my Leverage." I say. "Very well." He says. We soon arrive to Lockwood Manor, as I'm on the left side of him, and he rings the doorbell with his right index finger, and puts his hand down, and the door opens, and we see Carol Lockwood. "Elijah! Ethan, what are you doing here? What happened?" She asks, extending her right hand out, and puts it down, as I look at Elijah's ruined jacket. "I've had a bit of an incident, Carol." He says, and I look up at him with my eyes, and forward. "I was hoping you could help." He says. "Well, I'm on my way to a meeting, so I." She says, shaking her head, and he steps forward. "It won't take but a minute of your time." He says, compellingly. "Of course. Anything you need." She says, smiling, and moves to the right. "Thank you." He says, and walks in, and so do I, smile at her, and back to Elijah, as we're walking. "Well, first things first. I'm going to need a change of clothing." He says, and we stop, as I hear the door close, and se look at her. "Well, we can try one of my husband's suits." She says, stepping forward. "I haven't boxed them up yet." She says. "Wonderful." He says, and she walks to the stairs, and up them, and I look at him, stepping closer. "How did you know she's not on vervain?" I whisper. "Because I'm the one who got her off it. Right before you and your friends killed me." He says, and looks at me. "Twice. If you'll excuse me. I'll be down in a moment. You're welcome to join, it's not like we have seen each other naked. I'm kidding. Breathe." He says, and walks over to the stairs, as I roll my eyes. He's sitting on the couch in front of me, as I'm sitting in a chair, looking to my right. "So I assume that the Martin witch and warlock are no longer with us." He says, and I look forward, down. "No." I say, and look up. "I'm sorry." I say, looking at him. "And Alexzandr. He would have been released from my compulsion when I died." He says. "Klaus took him. We think that he may be dead." I say. "I doubt that." He says, smiling. "Not Klaus' style. Death would be too easy for him after what he did." He says. "I don't understand." I say, shaking my head. "You say that you want Klaus dead, but you still made Alex pay for betraying him." I say. "I have my own reasons for wanting Alexzandr to pay. There was a time.. I'd have done anything for Klaus. It was his Birthday when he met Alexzandr. Yes. Klaus is my brother." He says. "I heard that. I'm still processing that my future brother in law is going to kill me. Talk about Family Holidays." I say. "Yes, I'm a little behind on the times, but I believe the term you're searching for is OMG." He says, picking up a teacup with his right hand, and sips it. "There is a whole family of us." He says, and stands up, walking to the mirror. "There's a whole family of Originals?" I ask, as he buttons his top button. "My Father was a wealthy Land Owner in a village in Eastern Europe. Our mother bore seven children." He says, and I stand up, as he looks at me. "So your parents were human?" I ask. "Our whole family was. Our origin as vampires is a very long story, Ethan. Just know.. We're the oldest Vampires in the world. We are the Original family, and from us all vampires were created." He says. "Right, but Klaus is your brother. And you want him dead?" I ask. "I need some air. I'm still feeling a tad.." He says, walking past me. "Dead. Come." He says, as I have my arms crossed, and put them down, and grab my jacket with my right hand, and follow him, while putting it on. We're walking down the steps of the backyard. "So as you've seen, nothing can kill an Original. Not Sun, not fire, not even a Werewolf bite. Only the wood from one tree. A tree my family made sure burned." He says, as we're now on the grass. "That's where the white ash for the dagger comes from." I say. "Yes. The witches won't allow anything truly immortal to walk the earth. Every creature needs to have a weakness in order to maintain the balance." He says. "So the Sun can't kill an Original. Why is Klaus so obsessed with breaking the Sun and Moon Curse?" I ask. "Right. The Curse of the Sun and the Moon." He says, and we stop at the bridge. "It's all so.." He says, and looks at me. "Biblical sounding, don't you think?" He asks, smiling. "What's so funny?" I ask, and he smiles more. "Klaus loves his sketches." He says. "I don't understand. So Klaus drew the Aztec sketches about the curse?" I ask. "Roman Scrolls, African Tribal Etchings, and any other culture or continent we felt like planting in it." He says, shaking his head. "But why?" I ask. "Easiest way to discover the existence of a Doppelganger or to get your hands on some long, lost Moonstone is to have every single member of two warring species on the lookout for it." He says. "So it's not Aztec at all?" I ask. "The Curse of the Sun and the Moon.. is fake. It doesn't exist." He says, smiling, and turns around, and walks over the bridge. "What?!" I exclaim, and follow him. He and I are walking past the lake. "Klaus and I faked the Sun and the Moon Curse dating back over a thousand years." He says. "But if there's no curse.." I say. "There's a curse. Just not that one. The real one's much worse. It's a curse placed on Klaus." He says, and I hear my phone vibrate. "What are you talking about?" I ask. "Klaus has been trying to break it for the last thousand years." He says, and looks at me. "And you were his only hope." He says, and my phone vibrates again. "What is this curse?" I ask, and my phone vibrates. Again. And he pulls it out of his right pocket, as I look at it. "Your phone will not stop its incessant buzzing. Answer it, please." He says, offering the phone to me, and I pick it up with my right hand, and see it's Stefan, and sigh, and answer it. "Stefan." I say, and he interrupts me. "We need you." He says. "What's wrong?" I ask. "Klaus went after Jenna. Get here." He says, as I look at Elijah, and he steps forward. "No. No, no, no, no." I say. "Now." He says. "Ok, I'll be right there." I say, and hang up, and breathe heavily. "Klaus went after Jenna. I have to go to her." I say, shaking my head. "I'm afraid that wasn't part of today's arrangement." He says. "She's my family, Elijah. I have to. I'll be back. You have my word." I say. "That doesn't mean anything until you live up to it." He says, and I pull out the Moonstone from my left pocket. "Do you give me your word that you'll give it back when I return and not to tell anyone I have it?" I ask, and he sighs. "I give you my word." He says, and I hand it to him. "Thank you." I say, and turn around, and run off. I run into the Salvatore Boarding House Library, seeing Jenna crying. "Oh, Jenna, thank God." I say. "No." She says, leaning back. "I'm so sorry. I never meant for any of this to happen." I say. "When I was little, your Mom used to tell me Bedtime Stories. Stories about vampires. I never thought that what she said could be true." She says, and I nod. "It is true, Jenna. I should have told you." I say, and walk closer to her, crouching down some. "I thought that if you didn't know, you'd be safe. But then things got so out of control and everything I had done to keep you out of it, it just blew up in my face." I say. "Who else knows? Jeremy?" She asks, and I nod, as she leans forward, and nods too. "John?" She asks. "We were just trying to protect you." I say. "Protect me?" She asks. "I'm so sorry. I will tell you everything." I say. "No, Ethan.. I am the one who's supposed to be protecting you and Jeremy." She says, as a few tears drop from my eyes. "I know, but there's nothing that you could have done." I say, as she shakes her head. "There's so much more to it.." I say, shaking my head, and she puts her hands in her face, looking down. "No, this is. This is so." She says, and puts her hands down, and looks up. "I don't know how. I." She says, and I interrupt her. "It's. I know. Hey." I say. "Why didn't you tell me?!" She exclaims, and I shake my head. "I'm scared." She says, shaking her head. "I know. I know. I know, hey." I say, and sit next to her. "Hey." I say, and put my arms around her neck, pulling her close. "Hey." I say, and she cries more. "I'm sorry. Jenna, I am so, so sorry." I say. I walk into see Stefan, and close the door, gently, with both hands, and put them down, and walk over to him. "Is she gonna be okay?" He asks. "She's in shock. I tried to tell her as much as I could, but I barely scratched the surface." I say. "I'm so sorry, Ethan." He says, shaking his head. "I hate this." He says. "It's not your fault, Stefan. It's mine. Anyway.. I have to go back. To Elijah." I say, and begin to walk off. "Wait, what? No, no!" He exclaims, touching my left arm, and puts his hand down, as I look at him. "Stefan, I promised him that I would return. I can't break that promise." I say, shaking my head. "Oh. Yeah." He says, sighing, looking down, and back up to me, and nod. "I'll be okay. He's not gonna hurt me." I say, and turn around, beginning to walk off, and see Damon. "Where do you think you're going?" He asks, approaching me, and I see Andie behind him. "Back to Elijah." I say, and he dashes in front of me. "No." He says. "Get out of my way, Dam." I say, walking forward, and he grabs my right arm. "If you so much as try and take a step out of this house.." He says. "Damon, easy." Andie says. "Stay out of this, Andie." Stefan says. "Let him go." Stefan says. "Are you kidding me? We just got him back." Damon says, and Stefan grabs his arm that's on mine. "You heard me. I said let him go." Stefan says, as I look at him, and back to Damon. "That's twice today you stood in my way. I wouldn't try a third." He says. I arrive back to the Lockwood Manor, and open the door with my right hand, and walk in, and close it, and put my hand down, looking around for Elijah, and turn to my left, and see him, and walk over to him, holding out my right hand. "Welcome back." He says, pulling out the Moonstone from his left jacket pocket, and places it in my hand, and I put it in my right pocket, and take my jacket off. "Tell me. What is Klaus' curse?" I ask, and throw my jacket down onto the table. "Please, sit." He says, and I sit down, and he walks over to me, and sits in front of me. "My family was quite close, but Klaus and my Father did not get on too well. When we became vampires, we discovered the truth. Klaus was not my Father's son. My Mother had been unfaithful many years before. This was her darkest secret. Klaus is from a different bloodline." He says, and stands up, walking back over to the mirror, and looks at me. "Of course, when my Father discovered this, he hunted down and he killed my Mother's lover and his entire family. Not realizing, of course, that he was igniting a war between species that rages until this day." He says. "A war between the species?" I ask. "The Vampires.. and the Werewolves." He says. "So Klaus' real Father was from a Werewolf bloodline?" I ask, and he smiles. "What does that make Klaus? A Werewolf? Or a Vampire? Or is it.. both?" I ask. "He's both. A Hybrid would be deadlier than any Werewolf or Vampire." He says, and walks to the door. "Nature would not stand for such an imbalance of power. Therefore the witches, the servants of nature, saw to it that my brother's werewolf side would become dormant." He says. "That's the curse Klaus wants to break?" I ask. "He want to trigger that part of him that's a Werewolf. If allowed, Klaus would sire his own bloodline. He'd build his own race." He says, and I stand up. "Endangering not just Vampires, but everyone." He says. "But you helped him." I say, walking towards him. "I helped him because I loved him." He says, and shakes his head. "That's changed, now he must die." He says. "We have the dagger now. We can stop him." I say. "When a Werewolf is wounded by silver, it heals." He says, and I cross my arms. "An Original can't be killed by anything but White Oak ash on a Silver dagger. So you see the conundrum." He says, and I walk around. "The dagger does not work." He says. "What, are you saying that Klaus can't be killed?" I ask. "There's one way to kill any supernatural species." He says, and looks at me. "By the hands of the Servants of Nature themselves." He says. "A Witch or Warlock. If they can channel that much power." I say, and sigh. "But it would kill them." I say. "The Curse must be broken during the Full Moon. When Klaus is in transition." He says, stepping forward. "That's when he'll be at his most vulnerable. A witch or warlock with enough power.. can kill Klaus." He says. "What if I told you that I knew a Warlock that could channel that much power?" I ask. "Then I would tell you there's one more thing that you should know. I found a way to save Alexzandr." He says. "You found a way to save the life of the Doppelganger?" I ask. "Yes, Ethan." He says, looking down, and back up to me. "I did." He says, and walks over to my jacket, and picks it up with both hands, and back over to me, as I look at him. "But unfortunately, Alexzandr took matters into his own hands first. I believe you already know how that played out." He says. "You cared about him, didn't you?" I ask, as he's holding my jacket in his left hand, and looks at me. "It's a common mistake, I'm told. And it's one I won't make again." He says. "Love is a strength, not a weakness. And yet, you care for me." I say. "I know." He says, and hands me my jacket, and walks off. I arrive to the Salvatore Boarding House with Elijah, and hear fighting, and run to the Library to see Stefan and Damon, fighting. "Stop!" I yell, and they break apart, and look at me. "Now you've invited him in?" Damon asks. "Elijah and I have renewed the terms of our deal." I say. "Really?" He asks. "The two of you will come to no harm at my hands." Elijah says, and walks  few steps towards them and stop. "I only ask for one thing in return." He says. "What?" Damon asks. "An apology." Elijah says. "A what?" Damon asks, and I look at Stefan, and he looks at Damon and back to Elijah, and walks over to him. "I'm sorry for the part that I played in your death. I was protecting Ethan." He says, and I smile. "I will always protect Ethan." He says. "I understand." Elijah says, and Stefan nods, and I look at Damon, and he shakes his head. "The sacrifice is going to happen, Damon. Maro will be able to kill Klaus without hurting himself and Elijah knows how to save my life. I told you I'd find another way. And I did." I say. "Is that true?" He asks. "It is." Elijah says. "And you're trusting him?" Damon asks. "I am." I say. "You can all go to hell." He says, and walks off. "He's angry with me right now. But he'll come around." Stefan says, as I look at him, and he nods, as Elijah's looking forward. "Perhaps." Elijah says.
