The "week" of Echo staying back in Seattle had since turned into nearly a month and a half. The sleepovers at Lyssa's also begun to become a weekly occurrence. As were the... interactions Jayden and I were having. Every time he managed to get me alone, he pushed a little further. Lyssa knew what was up too. She didn't talk about it, but I could see the looks she gave me when Jay would grab my hand and we would disappear for an hour or so.

It was almost like she was proud of me. I don't know how to feel about it, Jayden's good for our make-out sessions, but I was still cheating on Echo.

He was coming now. Echo was finally driving down to live with his uncle, right on time for winter break.

We hadn't really done much for Thanksgiving, but Patrick said his parents and older sister and husband were coming down. I was a little weary of the thought, but I knew it was time I met the rest of the family. Pete doesn't talk about his, I don't say anything either. I had asked Patrick about it, but he had just told me Pete didn't have much in the ways of family left.

I try not to think too much about how much I'm dissapointing Pete and Patrick when I light up a joint, or let Jayden get to second base in the middle of a party with me.

Long story short, I had accumulated a bit of a reputation.

It was late, Saturday afternoon, the first of winter break, and I was in Lyssa's room with Jayden while she was out buying junk food with Mary. The rest of her family was decorating the tree at her grandparents, so we were left alone. And well, there's only one way this could end up.

Yep, you guessed it kids. Jay already had my shirt off and was working on my bra as he sucked another mark onto my chest. Most of them were faded, but he didn't like them that way.

My phone buzzes in my pocket. A guilty reminder of Echo's arrival later today.

"Jay..." I start to explain to him my predicament, knowing I'd have to some time.

He breathes against my neck. "What?"

"We can't do this anymore. I have somewhere to be." I pull back, watching his face fall.

"What do you mean?" He looks at me, a defensive look in his eye.

"Look Jay, I made a mistake. This has to stay between us." I give him a stern look then stand up and put my shirt back on, tugging my hoodie over my arms.

"Luce..." He looks at me with sad eyes. "You can't just leave like this. You- you have to give me an explanation."

"I promise I'll talk about it with you later. You have to just trust me and please keep this between us." His mouth opens to say something, but I'm out the door before he has a chance. As I'm turning out of Lyssa's driveway, I send her a text.

To: Lyssa
I told Jay we had to stop. Please don't tell anyone, I'm going to meet up with Echo.

I sigh and tap over to my conversation with Echo, which has been lacking the past couple of weeks, but he's done a good job keeping up the last two days.

From: Echo
I'm done unpacking. When can I see you?

I feel a smile creep on my face, as much as I feel guilty, I missed him. I press the call button and wait for him to pick up.

"Hey!" He says and I can hear the smile in his voice.

"Hi, E. I'm just leaving a friend's house. Patrick is gonna pick me up at the park down the street. You wanna come over to our new house for dinner tonight?"

"That sounds awesome. I missed you so much." I bite my lip to keep from grinning like an idiot.

"I missed you too. Half an hour, then come over. Joe and Andy are coming over too."

"This is gonna be sick!" Echo excaims. I chuckle.

"Yeah. I see Patrick, I'll text you."

"See you soon, Bunny." I scowl.

"Don't call me that you creep." He starts to laugh, but I hang up before he can say anything. I get into the car, glancing at Patrick who smiles.

"Excited?" He asks me.

"You have no idea."

Half an hour later, I've changed into a nicer outfit of skinny jeans and a maroon long sleeved shirt. I end up braiding my hair in two tails down my shoulders instead of brushing and straightening it. I don't have any shoes on, just my very festive Christmas patterned socks that I slide around the kitchen in. Patrick laughs at me, but I'm having the time of my life.

He's boiling pasta to make into spaghetti at the stove while Pete sits in the dining room with Andy and Joe doing boring adult things. Eventually, the bell rings.

"I'll get it!" I announce, sliding my way to the front door. Joe's on my tail though, wrapping his arms around me to stop my sliding. "Hey!" I squeal.

"No, I wanna meet your boyfriend." I wrestle myself out of his arms, running to the front door. I pull it open and try to block Joe's view, but he squeezes past me to see Echo standing at the door with his mouth slightly ajar.

"Joe!" I yell, lightly smacking him on the arm."

"C'mon, introduce me." I roll my eyes and tug Echo by the arm into the entryway. He immediately wraps his arm around me, but doesn't take his eyes off Joe.

"Joe, Echo. Echo, Joe." I say, leaning into him. He sticks out his hand, slowly regaining his composure.

"Uh, it's a pleasure to meet you. I'm a big fan." Joe grins.

"Pleasure's all mine."

"Come on, E. Dinner's almost done." I pull him into the dining room to settle into what I hope is going to be a fun night.

I've been biting the inside of my cheek all day and now it hurts and I'm mad at myself...
