Chapter 16: Fireworks and boy from the past
*Lilita’s P.o.V*
“Are we there yet?” I ask impatiently.
Deidara laughs. “Almost, un.” Deidara squeezes my hand and I feel his hands tongue start tracing circles on my palm.
“Can you take the blindfold off me at least?” I plead.
“That will ruin the surprise, un!” Deidara laughs again and pulls me forward again.
“Are we there yet?” I ask a couple minutes later.
“Yep, un.” I feel the blindfold being removed from over my eyes. It takes a couple seconds for my eyes to adjust but when they do, I’m amazed by the sight.
“Where are we?” I stare around in awe at the sight of the village. The buildings were all made of stone and there were huge mountains protecting the village. Lights were strung around the buildings, casting a beautiful light on the place.
“Iwa.” Deidara smiles at me.
“Your home village?” I smile up at him.
“Yeah, I wanted to show it to you. And there is a festival going on tonight, mm.” Deidara wraps his arm around my waist as we walk down the streets of Iwa.
“It’s beautiful here.” I whisper to Deidara. Deidara nods and smiles at me.
“Not as beautiful as you.” Deidara’s hot breath hits my neck and I feel shivers run up my spine. A light blush plants itself on my cheeks and doesn’t want to go away, even with all my protesting.
“So, what are we going to do tonight?” Leaning into Deidara’s side, I trace light circles on his chest.
“It’s a surprise, un.” Deidara smirks at me.
“Ugh, your so mean to me!” I pout. Deidara just laughs and kisses the top of my head.
“You’ll be fine for a few more minutes. First, let’s go get something to eat, yeah.” Deidara takes my hand and pulls me in the direction of a ramen shop.
As soon as we are seated, a woman in her early forties comes over. “Hello, what can I get you tonight?” The woman asks, smiling brightly.
“Two miso ramen, un.” Deidara tells the woman, who nods before scurrying away.
“Will people recognize you?” I question after a few moments of silence.
“Maybe, I don’t know. Let’s hope for the best, un.” Deidara smirks at me just as our food arrives.

We quickly finish eating and get up to leave when I see something off in the distance. It was the festival.
