Chapter 20: Familiar?

*Deidara’s P.o.V.*

“Deidara.” A voice whispers weakly. I jump up from my spot and race over to the chakra cage, doing the hand sign and stepping through.

“Lilita?” I call, my eyes searching the darkness of the cage for her.

“Over here.” Lilita whispers, her voice still sounding weak. I follow the sound of her breathing until I find her curled into a ball in the far corner.

“Hey, it’s alright.” I murmur as I sit down next to her and wrap my arms around her.

“I’m sorry.” Lilita says after a few moments of silence.

“For what?” I ask, my fingers stroking her soft hair. I lean down and kiss her head, savouring the feel of being with her.

“For attacking you. I didn’t mean to. It’s just Kyouki was making me not see straight.” Lilita explains, her fingers trailing over my free hand.

“Kyouki?” I tilt my head, pulling away to look at her.

Lilita stops what she was doing and looks up at me. “Kyouki, my madness.” Lilita smiles sadly, going back to playing with my hand.

“Kyouki. Madness.” I mumble to myself, watching her play with my hand, the mouth opening and licking her skin.

“I really am sorry Deidara.” Lilita looks slowly up at me, her hand clasped in mine.

I send her a small smile and squeeze her hand. “I forgive you.” Lilita smiles, leans up and pecks my lips slowly.

*Lilita’s P.o.V.*

“Deidara! Get your ass up here! Leader wants us all in the meeting room! NOW!” Hidan’s voice carries down the basement stairs and echoes throughout the room.

“Guess we better go see what Leader wants.” Deidara sighs, stands up and offers me a hand up. Grabbing it, I let him pull me off the ground and up the stairs, into the meeting room.

Once we enter, I am scooped into someone’s arms. Looking down, I see Kisame squeezing me to death.

“You’re okay!” Kisame proclaims happily.

“Uh, yeah.” I was as okay as an insane person could get. “Uh, Kisame? Your kinda squishing the life outta me.” I mumble quietly.

“Oh! Sorry!” Kisame laughs, setting me back down on my feet.

“It’s alright.” I smile slightly. Someone clears their throat and I turn to see Pein standing at the front of the room, a solemn look on his face.

“Everyone, please take your seats. Once everyone is ready, we will begin.” Pein orders.

All of us walk around the long meeting table and take our designated seats. The seating went like this: At the head of the table on the left side was Kisame, then Itachi, then me, then Zetsu, then an empty seat. At the head of the table on the right side was Kakuzu, then Hidan, then Deidara, then Tobi and then another empty seat. At the very head of the table sat Pein with Konan standing behind him.

“So what did you fucking call us here for? I gotta go pray to Jashin.” Hidan grumbles.

“I have an announcement.” Pein states after he sends Hidan a warning look.

“What is it? Tobi wants to know!” Tobi shouts excitedly.

“We are going to have another member join us. For now, they will only be an assistant to any of your needs, but later on I will be assigning them to one of you to teach them. Is that understood?” Pein asks, it more of an order than a question. We all nod once and Pein nods.

“Konan.” Konan nods and disappears into the darkness. We wait a few more seconds until Konan comes back with someone behind her.

“Akatsuki, meet your new member.” Pein says.

My eyes fix on the figure as it steps out from behind Konan. It was a guy, probably my age with blackish gray hair that kinda looked like Itachi’s brother’s, Sasuke’s, duck-butt hair. (Hehe, maybe they go to the same hair stylist.) He had dark grey eyes and a solemn look on his face.

“Introduce yourself.” Pein orders.

The guy clears his throat and looks at all of us until his eyes land on me and stay there. “My name is Tatsu Hisashi.” When he speaks, shivers run down my spine and my mouth opens slightly.

That voice. And that chakra. I know him from somewhere. But I can’t place it.

Tatsu Hisashi, where have I met you?

A/N: Sorry it's so short, i've just been really sick lately and I don't have much energy to write. Once i get better, there will be a much longer chappy! Hope you still enjoyed this!
