Chapter 11: Poison
*Lilita’s P.o.V.*
Two more days. Two more days, three hours. Two more days, three hours, forty-five minutes. Two more days, three hours, forty-five minutes and thirteen seconds. Two more days, three hours, forty-five minutes and thirteen seconds until Deidara, Hidan and Itachi come rescue me from this hell.
This past week and a half has been utter hell. Orochimaru has tested on me, poked and prodded, injected me with needles containing stuff and hooked me up to machines. And all this for I don’t know what.
Laying on my bed, completely exhausted and sore, my mind keeps on wandering to Deidara.
How was he? Was he missing me? Did he care that I was gone? Did he want me back?
I should really stop thinking about this. Hm, what should I do to get my mind off of it? Hmm.
Just as an idea pops into my head, a knock comes at my door. Standing up, I slowly walk over to the door and open it, peering out into the dimly lit hallway. Outside my door, there stood Kabuto.
“Orochimaru is ready for you.” Kabuto smirks at me. Shivers run up and down my spine as I nod uneasily. Stepping out of my room, I close the door and slowly following him.
We reach the lab that Orochimaru uses for me. Kabuto opens the steel door and ushers me in. Taking a deep breath, I step in. Better get this over with.
Once in, Kabuto closes the door behind us and moves me over to a steel slab in the middle off the room. He orders me to lay down, and I do so reluctantly.
“Ah, she is ready.” Orochimaru’s slippery voice rings through the room as he emerges from the shadows.
Kabuto bows to Orochimaru quickly before going back to fixing the rest of the restraints across my body.
You see, the first time he tried experimenting on me, I kinda got a little, okay maybe a lot, angry and I almost killed him and Kabuto. So now, I am always held back by these restraints.
“Thank you Kabuto. Could you please get the new substance we have been working on? I think Lilita here will be a great test subject for it.” Orochimaru laughs as he runs a finger over my cheek.
I flinch away from his touch, but try to hide it as best as possible. Luckily, Orochimaru didn’t notice.
Kabuto comes back with a needle filled with a bright purple swirled with red liquid. He hands it to Orochimaru before standing on the other side of me.
“Now, don’t struggle.” Orochimaru coos, brushing the skin on my arm before jabbing the needle into my skin.
I flinch from the suddenness of the prick but quickly recover. Laying there, I wait for the pain to come, but it never does.
“Hmm, looks like it isn’t working. Too bad.” Orochimaru shrugs as he goes to walk away.
That’s when it happens. Fire shoots through my body and it feels like I’m being burned alive. I bite my lip, trying to endure the pain but it only gets worse. That’s when I start screaming bloody murder.
“Ah, I stand corrected. It has started working. Perfect.” Orochimaru laughs as he watches me writhe in agony.
“You….sick…..bastard.” I spit at him between pants as the pain gets worse and my screams get louder.
I bite the inside of my cheeks, chomping down on the raging screams. The pain continues as I taste my coppery blood fill my mouth. I go to take a breath but another scream comes, causing me to choke on my blood. As it slips down my throat, I realize that I have to stop this.
Taking a deep breath, I focus on getting out of here. I start feeling light headed and the burning increasing. What’s going on?
Peeking my eyes open, I see something I never wanted to.

That chakra. It can only be hers. Lilita’s. Making my way out of my room, I follow the trail of it until I get to the strongest point. I come to a steel door in the middle of a deserted hallway.
I think about turning back when I hear a scream. That was Lilita’s. I need to help her.
Wait, why do I even care? I shouldn’t care about her. But I just can’t help it. She makes me remember what it’s like to feel.
Kicking the door in, I see something I really shouldn’t.
Sitting on a metal table in a feral position, was Lilita, a deadly gold and amber chakra surrounding her. She was growling menacingly at Orochimaru and Kabuto, Orochimaru who was smiling evilly.
Looking closer, I see Lilita softening her expression. Why would she be letting her guard down around them? Is she insane?
That’s when she starts talking. “You mean….?” She asks Orochimaru. She doesn’t speak for a while and Orochimaru doesn’t say anything either.
“So, if this keeps going on that will happen? Hmm, I guess I have to.” Lilita mumbles in almost a dream like state.
Who was she talking to? Cause it sure as hell wasn’t one of us.

“Kohaku?” I ask, looking at the smaller version of Kohaku standing in front of me.
“Lilita.” Kohaku bows down at me in almost a submissive way.
“What are you doing here?” I question, cocking my head to the side.
“I am here to warn you before I run out of time.”
“Warn me about what?”
“If you don’t wake up soon, that poison that Orochimaru injected you with will slowly eat away at you and suck me out of you. It will also drive you insane if you don’t find a cure.”
“You mean…..?” I start, unable to finish.
“Yes, I will die and you might, or you might just go extremely insane.” Kohaku’s expression turns alarmed but she quickly masks it.
“So, if this keeps going on that will happen? Hmm, I guess I have to.” I mutter. Kohaku nods as she takes a step towards me.
“Good luck. Get out of this, for the both of us.” Kohaku nods at me before jumping into my chest. It sends me tumbling back, hitting my head on the table which causes me to black out.
Let’s hope I get out of this alive.
