Chapter 21: Five simple words

*3rd person*

Kabuto stands behind Orochimaru, who was at the time glaring at Sasuke and pacing back and forth.

“How could you let her escape?” Orochimaru hisses, stopping his pacing to glare fiercely at the Uchiha.

“I didn’t know what was happening until I was knocked out.” Sasuke glares back, his Sharingan edging to be used.

“You could have sensed their chakra. It was your brother for crying out loud.” Orochimaru growls.

“I couldn’t sense it because of her chakra. It was overwhelming. The insanity coming off her was making me insane.”

“Really now? Well, that means my poison is working.” Orochimaru chuckles cruelly to himself.

“What do you mean?” Kabuto finally pipes up, pushing his glasses up on his nose.

“If she’s already going insane, and it’s as strong as Sasuke says, then she won’t be able to stop it. She will come back to us, begging for her sanity. In due time, she will.” Orochimaru chuckles loudly, clicking his tongue in anticipation.

*Lilita’s P.o.V.*

Have you ever felt that something wasn’t right? That tight feeling in the pit of your stomach that no matter what you do, only seems to get tighter? No? Well, that’s how I feel right now and I don’t like it.

It was now after the meeting and about eight o’clock, so me and Deidara were heading back to his room to chill. And so far, my stomach was clenched so tight it was gonna explode.

“I’m gonna have a shower then we can hang out okay, un?” Deidara asks me as we walk into his room, him walking over to the bathroom and me sitting on the bed.

“Yeah, okay.” I mumble, laying back on my hands.

Deidara turns around and walks over to me, pecking my lips softly. “Wait for me.” Deidara mumbles against my lips. Nodding, I peck his lips once more before pushing him in the direction of the bathroom.

“Hurry up then.” I whine, laying back on the bed. Deidara laughs before he disappears. Closing my eyes, I listen to the sounds of Deidara getting in the shower. Once I hear the water turn on, my eyes flash open and I stand up, disappearing out the door.

Walking down the hall to the kitchen, I concentrate on finding Tatsu’s chakra. His chakra appears once I get closer to the kitchen. Picking up my pace, I walk faster.

The walk seems to go on forever when I feel the clenching in my stomach get tighter and a screaming in my head begin. Pain shoots through my body and I fall to my knees with a thud.

Clutching my head, I clench my teeth to hold in the scream that is bubbling in my throat.

‘Kyouki!’ I shout in my mind. ‘Kohaku! Make it stop!’

‘I can’t! Kyouki cut me off! You have to control him! Soon!’ Kohaku yells before her presence disappears.

‘Kyouki! STOP!’ I scream, rage filling me as my mind sets on fire. Voices of my clan scream incoherently in my head, making it pound furiously.

‘Unless you control me, I will continue to torment you will your clan’s memories!’ Kyouki laughs menacingly.

‘STOP!’ I roar, silencing the voices and thoughts. Just when I think it all stops, the voices only get louder and angrier.

I clench my eyes shut, holding in the pain. Just as I am about to scream out in rage and pain, I feel someone place their hand on my right hand.

The voices stop and everything becomes silent. I open my eyes and look up, staring at the person in disbelief.

“Are you alright?” Tatsu asks with concern and kindness in his words. My eyes search his for any sign of him lying but I only find sincerity.

“Uh, yeah. I’m alright now.” I mumble, letting Tatsu help me off the ground. “Thanks, again.” I say before I rush down the hall and back into Deidara’s room.

Laying down on the bed, I close my eyes and think about what just happened. Tatsu stopped them, he stopped the voices with just one touch. What does this mean? What is he? And where do I know him from!?

Through my rant, I hear the bathroom door open and Deidara exit. Looking up, I see him walking out in nothing but a towel.

“Can I play with your hair?” I ask him, hoping that playing with his hair will calm me like it usually does.

“Yeah.” Deidara walks over to me and sits beside me. Sitting up, I start combing my fingers through his blonde locks.

“Hey, Dei?” I mumble distractedly as I comb my fingers through his drying hair.

“Mm?” Deidara mumbles, his eyes closed and a small smile on his face.

“Can we go see my clan’s compound? There’s something I need to do there.” I state, slowly braiding Deidara’s hair in a big braid.

“I guess. I’ll ask Pein if we can stop there on our way to pick up the Makimoto kid.”

“Right, I was supposed to get him today.” I mumble quietly.

“Yeah, we’re leaving tomorrow, un.” Deidara says as I finish playing with his hair. I let the braid drop and watch it unravel, glad that it calmed me. Deidara flips around and pushes me down to the bed, hovering over me.

“I’m glad you’re okay.” I whisper, staring up at him.

“I’m glad you’re okay, mm.” Deidara replies, leaning down and kisses me softly.

Instinctively, my hands reach up and tangle themselves in his hair, pulling him closer to me. Deidara roughens the kiss and I kiss him with more passion and hunger, needing more of him.

Deidara moans against my lips and wraps one hand in my hair and the other resting on my left hip. His fingers play with the hem of my shirt, slowly pushing it up. He stops kissing me and leans back a little, looking in my eyes for any sort of reaction.

“Can we? Please.” Deidara asks hopefully, his eyes raking over me hungrily. I purse my lips before nodding, pulling him back down to my lips.

Deidara takes that as a yes because he pushes me shirt up and over my head. Trailing his lips down my jaw and neck, he starts planting butterfly kisses all over. He moves his lips down to my stomach and kisses me there softly before returning to my lips.

After about five minutes, I was left in nothing but my undergarments and Deidara in his towel. I flip Deidara over so he was now beneath me and I was straddling him.

Trailing kisses down his jaw and neck, I run my tongue over his chest, causing him to shiver in anticipation. I kiss softly all over his chest and abdomen before returning to his lips.

Staring into his eyes, a small smile creeps onto my lips. “I love you.”

“I love you too, un.”

And those were the five simple words that made the night all that much better.
