Six Years Old ❣︎ August

Time flies by quickly when you're having fun.

The summer so far has been full of enticing adventures for our iconic duo, and the summer played out like a fantasy.

Especially for Archie.

It seemed as if the after the Disney Trip, the redhead's parents made a complete 360 in how they treated each other.

It's not so rare to see the two parents holding hands as if they're young again, or shooting each other goofy grins that follow synchronized giggles after a great day.

Archie has only experienced great days this summer.

The scarlet hue was never caught without a smile on his face, and even his stutter is starting to clear up, although Jughead secretly misses it.

However, Jughead was just glad that his best friend was finally happy again. Archie blended into the summery surroundings, and made everything seem just a little bit brighter.

Archie was the taste of strawberry milkshakes, the feeling of a gentle cool breeze, the sound of the duo's constant giggles, the crisp smell of the atmosphere after a heavy summer rain, and the sight of brilliant flowers that refuse to stop showing off their vibrant colors.

Archie's new found happiness even started to rub off on Jughead, who became more and more open to the idea of Betty Cooper.

How could anyone possibly dislike the bubbly blonde?

Tried as he might, Jughead couldn't do it. The blond became a regular appearance throughout the summer, and the raven haired boy couldn't help but to grow fond of the girl.

Betty is smart, almost as smart as Jughead, and her optimism is just something Jughead will need, although he doesn't know it yet.

In fact, the trio are now possibly having their last hoorah of the summer;

Mrs. Jones baby shower for she who has not been named yet.

She will be arriving in the next two days, and Jughead's parents have been trying to think of a name for the new baby for ages it seems like, but nothing seems to be special enough.

Mr. Jones doesn't want to have anything too unique, because he doesn't want to have a repeat of name calling for the younger sibling.

However, Mrs. Jones wants to go down the same route she went with Jughead. She thinks the name builds character.

Jughead will have to disagree on her reasoning, but the name he has in mind is sort of along the lines of his. He just wants to wait for the right time to tell them his idea, because he already feels as if it's stupid.

Archie likes the name though, but Archie likes all of Jughead's suggestions.

"Everything came out so pretty Juggy!" Betty sighs happily while twirling around in a circle, taking in the surroundings of the baby shower laced in pink.

Jughead cringes at the nickname, only liking it when Archie calls him that, but agrees with the lemon hue nonetheless.

The redhead's family organized this event, and Mrs. Jones has no clue about it, which is honestly shocking.
