Seventeen Years Old ❣︎ September
"I can't do it." Archie sighs once Jughead opens the door with a confused demeanor.
"Dude, go home and go to sleep." Jughead mumbles sleepily before walking away from the front door of his trailer and shuffling to his room.
"Don't call me dude! I'm not your dude!"
"But you are a pain in the ass."
Archie rolls his eyes before following Jughead who frantically flops onto his bed with a sigh. It's early Monday morning, 2 a.m. To be exact. The first day of school is today and Archie's mind is running wild with irrational thoughts.
"You don't even bother to ask why I'm here?"
"I presume it's to see my gorgeous face, yes? I charge $27 an hour." Jughead mumbles again before closing his eyes and pulling his blanket around him.
"This is serious! What if something bad happens tomorrow? What if we get killed, huh?"
"The only thing that's going to be remotely bruised is your reputation. Nothing bad is going to happen to us."
"You don't know that."
"I do."
"How?"
"Baby, just get in the bed and stop worrying."
Archie blushes red before taking off his shoes with great difficulty, hopping around like a bunny on one leg as he desperately tries to pry his adidas off his foot. Jughead turns to face him and let's out a chuckle, causing Archie to mumble a "shut up" under his breath. He scoots over in the bed, allowing the worrisome redhead to hop in, and pulls the blanket over the two of them.
"I'm scared too, but whatever happens, happens. I'm tired of worrying and caring about other people's opinions who would never worry or care about mine. It's time to face it head on, that's all we can do." Jughead smiles gently before looking up into Archie's soft brown eyes with reassurance.
"You're right." Archie breathes out, gazing into the brilliant aqua green that are his boyfriend's eyes. He can never really determine the color, they change every day. Some days they're a darker blue, and that's how he can tell something's wrong. And some days they're a luminescent green, which means he's in a really good mood. Most of the time though, it's a beautiful mixture of the two.
"Get some sleep, yeah? Your dad knows you're here and all I assume."
Archie hums in response, the room filling with a comfortable silence as the two continue to stare at each other with sleepy grins.
"You know, we've slept in the same bed so many times before but-" Archie begins.
"It was never like this. It's the same thing but it feels different." Jughead continues.
"But good different."
"Right."
"I love you."
"I love you too."

Archie sneakily turns on his phone and opens up snapchat, smirking evilly as he films his raven haired boyfriend staring sleepily at the ceiling.
