Twenty Two Years Old ❣︎ June

"Okay, so obviously the media has been missing your face for a while, but due to this people are starting to focus on the positive attention your book has gotten from critics."

"Yup. I'm a writer. I'm an author now. I want to be known for that, not anything else. At least for now. This is my main focus and I thought shying away from the media would put more light on it and it did." Jughead smiles, leaning back in the chair and looking towards the interviewer for the next question.

"A lot of articles have been published about that. Even the hashtag "JJTalentOverLooks" trended on twitter after John Green posted a video reviewing your book and Liz Guzman wrote about you." She explains.

"Yeah, I was really happy they said what I couldn't. I was busy with school and so many other things that I couldn't get involved even if I wanted to." Jughead laughs, which causes the interviewer to smile at the sound of it.

"School? What school do you go to?" She asks curiously, not knowing that he's still in school. How old even is this guy?

"Well I went to NYU. I just graduated last month actually."

"So you're 22?"

"Dang it, I tried to keep it a secret for now. But yeah I'm 22." He says sheepishly.

"That honestly explains so much." She laughs. "Has balancing school with your career been hard?"

"Yeah. Really hard actually. I even had to skip a class once, I think I sulked about it for a week." He cringes.

"You've never skipped a class before that?"she awes.

"Nope. I'm a grade A nerd. I shouldn't be proud of it but I am. I got into NYU with a full ride so I've been pretty much pressured to keep the highest gpa possible. My senior year was the most stressful with my book and final exams and ugh I'm so happy that's over with. I didn't sleep, like ever."

"For some reason, I'm honestly blown away by that." She admits.

"Did you really think I was a delinquent? Never judge a book by its cover." He mocks, already making meme references which causes her to laugh harder than expected.

"So not only are you a writer, you're a meme enthusiast?"

"We prefer the term meme farmers, but yes. I take it very seriously." He giggles.

"More seriously than writing?" She raises an eyebrow.

"I'm not allowed to discuss that, I'm sworn to secrecy." He puts his hand up in surrender.

"Well, can you tell us a little more about your book than what we've already heard? Or are you sworn to secrecy again?" She teases.

"Hmm. Well, I can't really say anything more than what I've said a thousand times except that I'm probably going to- wait can I cuss?" He asks shyly, to which she nods enthusiastically to. "Well then yeah I'm really going to fuck you up." He laughs. "One minute you're going to laugh then the next you're going to cry and soon after that you'll want to set the book on fire but, disclaimer: books are highly flammable so for your safety I wouldn't."
