Thirteen Years Old ❣︎ August
Archie met Val in June.
The two clicked immediately, and to say Archie is confused would be an understatement.
He is most definitely, utterly, and whole heartedly,
Fúcked up.
Val would show up to Archie's and Reggie's football practices everyday with her band, Josie and the pussycats, and Archie was distracted by her, to say the least.
She has gorgeous big hazel eyes that compliments her smooth caramel skin tone, and pretty curly hair that makes Archie smile.
She is undeniably beautiful, how could you blame him?
And after days of just staring at the girl, Reggie practically pushed the red head to go talk to her.
The whole thing was a mess.
Archie was clumsy, and rambling, and blushing, and just being a complete idiot. He's not smooth at all. But luckily, Val found the whole thing pretty cute and decided to keep him around.
All the two did was talk at first. They talked about movies, books, and especially music. Val's eyes would sparkle as she talked about her inspirations like Lauryn Hill, Gladys Knight, Toni Braxton, and even Tori Kelly. Archie couldn't help but to admire the passion she has for her music, and the passion she puts in everything, really. It's something the scarlet hue continues to admire about her.
But then, talking turned to other things.
Archie wasn't surprised that her passion transpired through their many make out sessions.
Archie actually really likes Val, and it kind of scares him.
Because he knows he still has small feelings for Jughead, even though they have dimmed down a bit since he met Val.
Then there's the fact that he likes a girl.
He thought he was...
But then again...
It doesn't really make much sense to him.
I mean, everybody has that one exception to their sexuality right? Maybe Jughead is just his.
But deep down Archie knows that isn't true either.
Archie thinks that boys are cute, the same way he thinks girls are cute. He'll stare at boys the same way he'll stare at girls, and he'll blush when someone attractive talks to him, either sex.
Archie doesn't know what that means yet.
He's just confused.
"Archie?"
"Mhm?"
"We should talk."
The redhead slowly nods before sitting up on his bed, allowing Val to do the same.
"What's up?"
"What are we?" Val just comes right out and asks it, which is honestly another thing Archie likes about her.
She's confident.
"What do you want to be?" Archie asks shyly, definitely not as confident as Val is.
"Whatever you want to be." Val smiles cheekily, forcing him to give a direct answer this time.
"I like you a lot." Archie blushes.
"I like you a lot too."
"Yeah, that's great! So um, would you be my-"
"Oh my gosh yes I'll be your girlfriend, you look like you're going to die." Val laughs, gesturing towards how red his face is.
"Shut up, you make me nervous." Archie pouts before getting out of bed and grabbing Val's hand.
"Where are we going?"
"I'm going to take my girlfriend on a date where everyone can see." Archie giggles before gently pulling the caramel goddess out the door.
