Seriously... How the bloody hell is that parrot still alive in all three of the Pirates Of The Caribbean movies??

Like, from all the things that's happened in the first three Pirates movies, shouldn't something have happened to Cotton's parrot by now? Especially in the At Worlds End movie, when they get Jack back from the locker.
Why the monkey is still alive is understandable, as he took one of those cursed coins in the end credit scene in the first movie. But the parrot? That's what I don't get...
If you're confused on what the fuck I'm talking about, and haven't seen the Pirates Of The Caribbean movies, there's this pirate, Cotton who is mute - he got his tongue cut out - and he's got a parrot that he trained to speak for him - though, none of them have quite figured out how he managed to do that, since he's a mute - and in all of the first three Pirates Of The Caribbean movies, the parrot survived, and I'm just rather confused how the parrot didn't die at all with events that happened in the movies. (I'mnotreferringtotheparrottheyfilmedwith, buttheparrotinthemovies... Thatprobablymadenosense...)
