We hear the key in the door.
Concupiscence leaves me, like an insect that is about to get slapped for being too close for comfort. He's more alerted to what is right, he steps away from the door with his hands behind him in a disciplined mode.
Aunt Tonya does not appear as though she's in a good mood and I don't know how to act, so we are frozen in position waiting for her to tell us when it would be okay to breathe.
I don't look over at him, he doesn't look over at me. This is my aunt's apartment after all, for her to be okay with us being here together when she's in a bad mood, is improbable.
When she opens the door, she places the groceries on the floor, freeing her hands so she could close the door. She hangs her coat up and then her eyes settle on us.
I believe this is probably where I should give a description of the beauty, of my now... pissed off aunt.
Hoping that if I admire her features, the law of attraction might take her wrath away and save my... our souls, I forgot Shawn's here with me.
My aunt is dark in colour, a round face with natural layers of makeup. It doesn't look caked on, she isn't trying to define what she doesn't have. You could clearly see that she has a round face, and that it suits her.
Her face muscles are resting, but when it is, you could feel like you've danced on somebody's grave and didn't apologize. Only if I look closely... I can see that she's hurting and we are just two people that she didn't want to see just yet.
But withal, she acknowledges us... incapable of giving a smile.
That kind of look.
If that makes sense.
Further to speak, she possesses a slim nose, which brings attention to the tighter than the usual placement of her lips together, indicating that if anyone is supposed to speak it would be us.
The conformation of her nose also brings attention to the apple forming of her chin, that reminds me of her high apple cheeks when she's smiling.
Her eyes are a small almond shape, they are glum. As black as Shawn's, but Shawn's skin tone is darker than her's and way darker than mine.
I could see her white pharmacy attire, better than when she had her coat on.
I am the first to speak.
"Aunt Tonya, this is Shawn... the guy I told you about."
I said as I turn my head to look at him, he did the same. As it was practically his go ahead to greet her, his arms are outstretched... being the polite gentleman in someone else's apartment.
"It's very nice to meet you,"
He's confident now that her expression loosens up a bit, but is made unsure when he got to the final word.
He's unsure of what to call her, which I could understand. You can't exactly call her Mrs or Miss, he just met her and she could've decided not to wear her ring today.
I could see her apple cheeks rising before it's properly defined. Then her face goes into another expression, impressed with how polite he seems.
His voice is deep, and you could experience the maturity radiating off of him.
Suddenly his strong neck looks good enough to put my arms around... and admire him for a little while. Admire how responsible he now seems, and how he seems to be the complete inverse of what I've taken on so far.
I might have to get him in a room with my aunt and I more often.

"So, as I've heard... you've taken a liking towards my niece,"
She doesn't sound as though she's attempting to evoke intimidation, but she sounds like she is opening a reasoning that suggest possible acceptance.
Which could only be a comfortable back rest for the now, enthusiastic Shawn. He settles into the chair around the dining table, as he is swallowing the chewed up pizza in his mouth.
Aunt Tonya ordered pizza, because neither of us is in the mood to prepare something, since we have a guest... it's the better option.
I surprisingly ate my slices, and is continuing to. The girl that is even afraid to swallow her food around her own aunt.
He looks at me as he is about to reply and this ruins everything, I have the pizza up to my mouth... but afraid to take a morsel.
Nevertheless, I give him a... well, what I conceive is a warm smile... his eyes smile instead as he answers my aunt.
"She's a beautiful woman, she made me realise a couple of things I experienced difficulties with."
His voice is still rich, he's sitting back in his chair, but he's sitting straight. Both hands on his thigh, that are a part from each other.
This isn't making me feel any better, so I decide to focus on my pizza, however... I end up choking instead.
He's patting my back, he's actually freaking patting my back. I'm now facing him, both knees almost touching his right thigh whilst aunt Tonya is sitting opposite us. I was about to get up, but since he's patting me, I guess my butt isn't leaving the chair.
He lightly chuckles.
"You should be careful with that pizza, am pretty sure your aunt, wouldn't want to announce the cause of death."
I try to glare at him when I lift my head up, but instead, we are having a moment... almost forgetting that my aunt is sitting right there.
"You okay sweetie?"
She asks, noticing what happened, I nod, turning to face her.... taking a sip of my water feeling my throat settling down.
"Shawn is it?"
He nods, waiting for my aunt, to throw the arrow of her following lines.
"What exactly did you mean, when you were saying that my niece made you realise something, you had trouble with?"
My ears are ready to pack this all in, I mean... he can't possibly shy away from the question, since my aunt gather respect from him.
He is shifting uncomfortably and my heart begins to race, not knowing what his next move might be. My body decides to do it's own thing, with indicating that I'm also on edge.
He doesn't look at me, but he finds the table and the pizza box very interesting.
"Well, Mrs Tonya,"
"I am not currently married, but when I am... I would like to see both you and my niece's face, amongst the others."
She sounds both serious and as if she's joking, Shawn definitely has no way out of this.
He nods and continue, forcing himself to look up, but again... he isn't looking at her, but he's showing that he's still being polite by showing whatever expression he has on his face.
"I think your niece might be the woman I've been searching for... I'm not sure if it's the excitement of a new woman in my life, or if this is her."
It sounds as if he has more to say... and my aunt and I aren't about to interrupt.
Thus, for the first time, he looks at my aunt to see if she's listening, then he looks at me.
"When I kissed you, it wasn't something I planned. I saw you at the Luxembourg Garden and I was taken by something, not your beauty... just something I can't place a finger on."
"I didn't exactly need time away from you... I needed time to figure things out,"
He waits for me to clean up the spill of this situation, bin it fast enough to give him an escape.
But instead... I give him the look that says he must continue.
"Okay... when I asked you to come by, I wanted to ask you if you were feeling just as confused... crazy as I was."
