|CHAPTER FOURTEEN|
|MAGMA O'S|

Thea's P.O.V

I wake up with a gasp. Sweat soaks the collar of my shirt. I turn to my side.

I had it again. The nightmare. Only more vivid. I glance at the long jagged scar tracing up my arm.

Tears drip from my lashes. I miss you so much Hunter.

I get up from my bed and walked into the bathroom connecting with my room. I look into the mirror.

Dead eyes. Dead wild hair. Dead smile. Dead everything.

I pull open the mirror and look at the bottle of prescription pills lining each row. I take my sleeping pills and pop the cap open. I dump a couple into my palm and stare the bottle.

You can do it right here and now. You can just end the pain you're in. You can do it.

I throw the bottle of pills with the couple in my hand and walk out of the bathroom. I flop my self onto my bed and hug my fluffy purple pillow.

I try to drown the horrible thoughts, but fail to do so. I scream into my pillow.

Fuck this shit. I get up from my bed again and walk out my room, making sure to slam the door shut.

As I reach the bottom step of the stairs, the doorbell dings throughout the house. I sigh irritably at the noise.

I trudge to the door and swing it open. I almost trip backwards at the sight of Chase at the door.

"C-Chase?" I question. My eyes widen when I realize I'm only wearing my fluffy blue shorts and a tank top.

He smiles, "Hi, Theania," I step back, closing the door over my exposed legs.

"Hi...Chase," I grimace, "What a surprise," He steps forward, pushing the door open more in the process.

I notice there are purple bruises decorating his cheek. He also has a black eye.

His eyes trail over my body, "I have many surprises my sweet Theania," I shiver at the words.

Why does that sound so familiar?

I scrunch my eyebrows in confusion. "What?"

  "Nothing." He replies darkly.

"Well Chase," I say while pushing the door close, "It's been nice catching up. Now go away." I try to slam the door but he sticks his ratty black and white Nikes between the door.

"I'm not done." He states angrily. He pushes the door more open. "I actually came here to apologize. I'm so sorry for talking about your dead brother. Even though you were being a bitch." He winces in pain. My eyebrow shoots up.

"Why did you grimace?" I demand with my hands on my hips. He looks confused.

"What do you mean Theania?" He says through a clenched smile. I push him back and step out.

I see Ryder on the side of the house with a guilty smile.

"Hey Thea!" He cheers, "Just out for a stroll you know, beautiful clear skies and white fluffy clouds!" He spreads his arms out.

I look up. The sky is a dark blue with agitated clouds surrounding the area. A drip water lands on my nose.

I look back at him, "Yeah, totally the sun is shining like no tomorrow." I reply sarcastically.
