|CHAPTER TWENTY-NINE|
|EPILOGUE|

I watch Vanessa and Theania play in the shallow water creek. They squeal as water touch them. Then little Ethan comes running to them and jumps in with a loud splash.

It has been six years. Six years since Thea saved me. Six years since Thea has been gone. Six years since I met someone new.

I look over to my wife, Reena. Long, curly, black hair and light brown eyes. Strong cheeks bones accentuate her long lashes as they flutter when she blinks.

She looks over at me and smiles. "You okay?" She rubs the small baby bump. I put my hand on her bump and rub it in circular motions.

"Doing just fine," I reply. She cocks her head and studies me.

  "Thinking about Thea?"

I frown and nod my head, retracting my hand. "At least we have a new Thea," I look up and over at our baby girl playing in the water.

"True," She replies. I look at Ethan and Vanessa.

Zak and Mariassa finally got married. They had their baby when Mari just turned twenty. Now, Vanessa is four years old while our baby, Thearym, is three, turning four in a couple of days. With her brown hair and light hazel eyes, you surely would want to pinch her chubby cheeks.

Ethan got adopted by Marune and Asher when he was three. Ethan is actually just older by three months. He just turned four yesterday.

Miranda sits in the sand just a few feet away to watch the kids play.

Miranda has been heart broken since Thea passed. She isolated herself since that day. Then, our baby came. She finally came out and opened to us.

I kept my promise. I promise I would watch over her, Thea. I promised.

I hear small giggles next to us. Marune and Asher are having a tickle fight. I grin.

"Hey, Asher, Marune! Stop slapping hot dogs and come to the water with me!" I shout.

I get up, dust the sand off my butt, and run before they can catch up. I rip off my shirt and throw it next to Miranda.

I hear shouts as I dive into the water. The bitter cold bites at my skin. When I rise for breath, goosebumps appear on my back, arms, and legs.

Two large splashes follow after me and I cover my face with my hands. Asher and Marune come up for air and start playing with little Ethan.

I look around with a large feeling of warmth, yet some parts of coldness.

I place my hand on my chest to feel the soft thumps of our hearts.

I do, Thea. I do feel your heart in my chest.
