AN: I'm sorry for those who do read this that I haven't updated. I gave up when I wasn't getting any feed back. Even if one person wants me to continue I will. I hope you enjoy it's long but the end is worth it. =)

Reclining back in my bed with the weight of today settling on me, the emptiness of my bed echoed louder than ever. Now that I met my soulmate, every thing in my life was now altered, for better or worse. My Kaylin, I was coming to terms with that simple concept. Listening to beat of her heart and the sound of her breathing, was therapeutic. I don't truly sleep, and for once I was grateful. In mere hours I'd be able to see her again, knowing it would only be brief, but I would still be able to gaze into those eyes.
Keeping a ear on her peaceful breathing I began to read up on Allen and my precious mate, the one that was mysteriously missing from the first file. Allen Smith, a nearly 20 year employee for The Company, recruited right out of MIT Where he graduated with honors at the age of 19, not bad honestly. Never married, his record is clean, not altered even. Allen was perfect on paper, most employees are granted 'wishes', he's only made 2 requests, adopt a daughter and a house off the books. Not shocking in our line of work.
Those were requested just over 10 years ago, I guess he just wanted something normal. Kaylin was adopted from a orphanage when she was 8, making her 18; a great relief to myself. Nothing was in her file of why she was in a orphanage, or her life before that. The emptiness of both, but mainly Kaylin's, files caused great concern. Having so little on someone, that knew of us, was extremely odd. I'd would be looking into the databases when I go in to the office tomorrow, Allen was a expert in tech. Moving further into Kaylin's life post-adoption was exemplary; she was home schooled by Allen and some of the Company's top private tutors we retained for our wealthier employees. Graduated when at 14 straight A's, even in her Advanced Placement classes, which was all in she took in high school it seems.
Nothing else of value was in her file, she didn't participate in any community programs, no sports, not even any friends from what it seemed. No phone either, something I'd try to rectify; no car, she did hold a valid drivers license though. She didn't even have a Facebook, nor held one in the past. That I was thankful for, I didn't want strangers, men especially, looking at Kaylin.
Movement from Kaylin rustling in her bed broke through my research, seeing the clock reading 5:30 am. Time had flown, reading into Kaylin and Allen, checking their digital footprints and finances. In the time after, my mind began to create images of what our lives could be together. Why would Kaylin be up this early? Walking to the window that faced her house I observed and listened out for her. Hearing her tiptoeing around extra lightly, made me concerned as to why. Then the shut of a door and the sound of rushing water took over my senses. Shower. My sweet and innocent Kaylin was naked, hot water cascading down her body, and driving me mad. The tips of my fingers were biting into the window seal until wood splintering in all directions, my weight no longer supported. Well, that was unfortunate. Just the thought of her showering had me losing control, I needed to better prepare when it comes to my soulmate. I would never hurt her.
Needing to reset before seeing her, I went to shower as well, hoping to calm myself. Wrapping a towel around my waist when I finished and walking to my closet, ready to see Kaylin. Grabbing a two piece black suit, with a white shirt, and a thin black tie, I forced myself to move at a human speed. In effort to not rush, I meticulously styled my hair and added some cologne. With no more tasks to keep me occupied upstairs I descended the stairs making my way to the kitchen. In a false bottom of the fridge was a stash of bagged blood that I always ensured was stocked, to feed if I was unable to hunt. Over the years there was many times I relied on this method, new resident in town that coincide with attacks draws attention quickly. No need to draw attention, it's such a hassle.
