Hunter
As a werewolf everything is heightened. Our minds process quicker, our senses stronger, our bodies can heal faster. Unfortunately our memories stay longer than humans. I'll never forget this.
At first, to me at least, it wasn't even obvious what was happening. I could hear the words, 'I love you', being exchanged, his posture, the look in the predators eyes even. It wasn't until I could see her luscious skin break, crimson blood dripping down her delicate collar bone; the smell of my mates blood attack my nose as if it was shoved in my face instead of yards away. My world no longer moved at a fast pace, watching the scene unfold made feel more like a mortal than any wound had before.
It was as if my body no longer communicated with my mind, feet cemented in place I dropped to my knees, the vibrations echoing through me as if to laugh at my hollowness. My world no longer moved at a accelerated pace, as if slow motion I watched as my Kaylin winced in pain as the vampires teeth reached their desired depth. I could hear her quickened heartbeat slamming against her chest, her irregular breathing as she was being devoured by this monster.
"Kaylin," my voice whispered. My body unconsciously called out for her. My call wasn't answered by my poor mate but the eyes of the devil who was taking her.
"Get alpha down here," I heard Lena order as she tried to pull me back to my feet.
"She's-she's gone," I cried. I don't think I had never really cried before, the moist trails on my face were so foreign to me but that's the only explanation they could be. My wolf howled so loudly until I screamed in agony of my heart ripping to shreds.
"Kaylin," I cried out once more.
Kaylin
Surrounded by my kidnappers, I felt Scott teeth break my skin. At first it was a intense stinging pain but as he pushed hard I had to grab on to him. His bite was doing something to me, at first it was a sting, then it was as if his teeth became electrified. A current ran through my whole body, I could feel it in every signal part of me. Slowly the voltage that ran through my body morphed into a heat the warmed me from my core outwards. A warmth that ignited a desire in me, all of a sudden it took everything I had not to moan in pleasure. My grip tightening around Scott, trying to press as much of my body into him, the contact seemed to satisfy my desire some and also seemed to excite me more.
Scott released me all to soon, his teeth retreat from my skin. Quickly replaced by his tongue, not even caring what or why he was doing it, it sent a whole new wave of pleasure and desire through me. No longer able to control myself I moaned Scott's name in his ear and I dug my nails impossibly deeper into his skin.
"Kaylin," Scott's strained husky voice whispered in my ear. "We have to get out of this first," he reminded me.
I looked around Scott, seeing what looked like 2 dozen or so people staring at us. The crowd had a mixed feel to it, while everyone seemed focused and intense most read a look of confusion. Towards the center of that group was a glare of anger, even hatred if that was possible. Lastly my eyes caught Lena and another man comforting someone on the ground. Almost as if I had called for him his head snapped up, so quickly I would assume it was broken. Head upright I now could see it was Hunter crumpled in the ground. My face was now the one confused, tears stained his face. Multiple emotions ran across his face, I could see him talking but he was too far away for me to make it out.
"Scott, what's going on?" I asked urgently. My sexually desire burning off I was starting to process everything. I must have been in shock because how else would I have perceived any of this as arousing much less normal. "You bit me?!" I screamed. "What the hell was that for? Who are these people? Why did they take me? Better question why are we still here?" my last question my of a plea, biting and kidnapping aside we still needed to escape.
