Logan's POV.

The pain I felt as I walked away from Azra was overwhelming. I'm a man, she's my mate, and it's my job to protect her and here I am leaving her alone for the night. I know it's the way things have to be, but it's the hardest thing I've ever done.

I made my way into the house to find my 'father' Bruce sitting on the couch watching tv. He looked up at me as I shut the door, 'How do you like your soon to be Luna son? She's a little spit fire isn't she?' he asked immediately.

'I was surprised that she spoke to me to be honest with you. I actually think she's coming around to the idea of being Alpha Female.'

'I knew she would in time.' he responded casually showing just how little he cared for the beaten woman he left out in a cold building.

'Im going to go on to bed now. Goodnight.' I told him wanting to go get started on my plan.

'Goodnight Logan.' he replied and got up walking towards his bedroom. 'I'm going to do the same.'

I watched to make sure he went in his room and not out to Azra and once he shut his bedroom door, I walked upstairs to my room to think out what needed to be done.

I figured I needed to pack a bag of things for the day or two we'd be waiting on her pack to reach us. I grabbed some clothes for me and some sweats and t shirts of mine for my mate. I knew they would swallow her whole, but it was the only option I had. I waited a few hours before grabbing some foods that wouldn't ruin by being warm and some bottled water. I threw all of it into a bag then grabbed some blankets to take as well.

By the time I finished packing, I had thought of a place to go to where I knew Bruce wouldn't find us. 'The caves' I thought aloud to myself. 'They will be perfect.' A few miles from our territory are a few caves that are almost hidden unless you know what you're looking for. I ran across them by complete chance when I was running once, and now I'm thinking it wasn't chance, it was fate.

It was a little past one in the morning when my plan was complete, but I knew there was no way I could sleep. My thoughts of what would happen before I got to Azra tomorrow night filled my head. I didn't know what had been done to my mate and I wasn't about to risk her being hurt. I had to leave with her tonight.

I knew where they kept the syringes and medicine. The room was two doors down from mine. I needed to inject myself, so that I could dilute my scent. I picked up the bag and slung it over my shoulder, then proceeded quietly out my door to the medicine room. The door had been left open, so I entered being as careful as possible. I saw the medicine I needed and quickly injected myself in the arm and headed to the stairs. Quickly, one by one, I made my way to the bottom. I walked out the door and made it halfway to Azra's building when I heard a man speak behind me. 'Logan' I turned around to see John looking at me suspiciously. 'Where are you going?'

'I, um, I ..' I stammered not knowing exactly what to say.

'Are you going to help her?' he asked and I swear I saw happiness flood his face at the though.

'I am. Can you keep this to yourself?' He nodded his answer and I replied, 'Shes my mate, John.'

I saw the realization on his face and he began to smile. 'Take her away from here Logan. I'll help you get her out.'

I stood there frozen for a moment trying to grasp the fact that John was helping me. I had always liked him, he never spoke much, but he was always kind.

'Thank you. Let's get her before he finds out.' I told him and hurried to the building.

John opened the door and held it for me as I walked inside. Azra looked beautiful sleeping soundly on the floor.

I kneeled down beside her and kissed her forehead, 'Azra I need you to wake up.'

I must've startled her, because she jumped up. I saw her mouth open to scream and managed to cover it with my hand just in time. 'Baby, it's me. It's Logan.' I whispered to her. She looked at me, confusion all on her face, then pulled me into her. I would've held her there forever, but John's whisper brought me from the moment.

'Logan, you need to hurry.' he whispered as quietly as he could.

'Whats going on?' Azra asked in a sleepy voice.

'We're leaving tonight.' and with that being said I picked her up bridal style in my arms and walked to the door.

Azra looked at John and smiled, 'Thank you Silent Man.'

He smiled back and motioned for us to go into the woods.

Once we were about fifteen minutes from the caves I put her down.

'The caves I'm taking us to are just a few minutes away. Are you okay to walk?'

'Im fine Logan,' she responded. 'Just surprised. I didn't think we were leaving until tomorrow night.'

'We weren't, but I couldn't handle leaving you alone. You're my mate Azra and I never wanna have to walk away from you again.'

She smiled as a tear ran down her face. I went to ask her what was wrong, but before I could she spoke.

'Ive always dreamed of the day that I would find my mate. I hoped he'd be strong, brave, and loving. When I saw you and now that you've rescued me, I know that my dreams and expectations have been exceeded. You are the best thing to ever happen to me Logan, you really are.'

I couldn't help but pull my little mate into my arms. It was a wonderful feeling to find my mate, but to have her accept me and openly express her feelings to me, made me feel like my heart would explode with joy. She truly was something special.

I released her from my arms and about five minutes later I spotted the caves and led her inside. I pulled out the blankets and us both some new clothes. Once we were changed, we laid down together. My wolf was dying to mark our mate and complete the mating process, but I knew she was tired, so I was perfectly content with falling asleep with her wrapped tightly in my arms.
