Mia's POV
Was I rude to Brendon? Yes. Is it wrong for me to not want him around? No. He kissed me, and I kissed him back. Things got a bit too heated and I got scared. I am terrified of what this boy will do to my heart. I am a very fragile person, and without knowing if his intentions are genuine, I just can't risk it.
After storming out of my room, I made my way downstairs and to the dinner table. It was already set and everyone was sitting down, waiting for the food to be served.
I took my seat at the table, and unfortunately, the naturally empty position at out dinner table happened to be next to me. Guess who's going to be sitting there then.
Brendon eventually made his way from my room, almost looking a bit sad. Good, it serves him right.
He perked up a bit as he sat down at the table, whether this was an act or not was unknown, but I chose to believe it was.
Brendon sat in the chair next to me, accidentally bumping my elbow in the process.
"Sorry" he said quietly, avoiding my gaze.
"It's ok" I replied, responding to more than just the accidental arm bump.
He looked up at me and smiled softly. Then suddenly there was a hand on top of my own. My hands were placed in my lap and Brendon had reached under the table and placed his warmer, larger hand on mine.
I didn't grab it or anything as I was too afraid to draw attention to it, so Brendon quietly circled his thumb on the back of my hand.
When my mother walked into the room, he slowly removed his hand and readied himself for the meal.

"That was delicious Silvia" Brendon said, stretching upwards with a smile.
Kiss ass much?
"Why thank-you Brendon! My children never appreciate my food as much as you do." My mother responded somewhat jokingly.
"Well they should, they're very lucky! I'd love to have a home-cooked meal once in a while" Brendon continued, his expression dropping a little.
What did he mean by that? I pushed the thought aside as I was now distracted by Brendon rising from his chair and gathering the finished plates.
"No no, you don't need to do that!" my mother exclaimed.
"It's perfectly fine, it's an expression of my gratitude" he replied with another heart-melting smile.
This boy really is a charmer.
"At least get Mia to help you with the washing!" she suggested.
I silently got up from the table and followed Brendon into the kitchen.
Luckily the kitchen was obscured from the dining room. I say luckily because as soon as I joined Brendon in the kitchen, he walked over and pulled me into a tight hug.
'Oh boy, a hug' is what you might be thinking, but I want to avoid suspicion at all costs.
"I really am sorry" he said into the crook of my neck.
"So am I, I was stupid for asking." I replied quietly.
May I just mention that Brendon is a great hugger? He holds you strong enough that you feel safe and protected, but not too strong as to feel crushed or threatened.
Brendon pulled away from the hug with his hands remaining on my arms.
"You weren't stupid for asking. I just need to figure some things out ok?"
"Yeah, that's ok."
He smiled, and pecked my cheek before we loaded the dishwasher.
Once the dishwasher was all loaded, I went back upstairs to get ready for bed. I lost Brendon somewhere along the way, I assumed he was spending some time with Jaron, and began to get ready for bed.
I was currently standing in the middle of my room, in just my underwear and bra, looking for my pyjamas.
"I saw them earlier" I muttered to myself as I searched around my room for my missing sleepwear.
"Looking for something?" I heard Brendon say from the doorway.
"Brendon! What the hell!" I said as I grabbed the blanket off my bed to cover myself.
He chuckled before stepping into my room and closing the door softly.
"Why were you just standing there watching me?" I asked, now annoyed, and flustered.
"You didn't think I was just going to pass up on the opportunity to watch an attractive girl in her underwear did you?" he replied smugly, moving closer towards me.
"No, I shouldn't have, because you have no decency."
Brendon cowered slightly at my harsh choice of words.
"Sorry" I apologised for the thousandth time today, "I'm just not used to all these different Brendon's"
And that was the truth, there were many different sides of Brendon, and you had no idea which Brendon you were going to get.
"I know, I'm sorry about that." He said, running his fingers through his hair, "I'm just expected to act a certain way you know?"
"It's ok, I get that this is something new for you, heck, it's something new for me too, so just take your time." I replied kindly.
I kind of forgot about my current clothing attire and walked over towards Brendon and embraced him in a hug. He hugged me back until a certain part of his anatomy began to perk up.
"Oh god, I've got to go" he said hurriedly as he pulled away from the hug and left my room.
I was left standing in my room, in nothing but my underwear, with a boy running away from me. Oddly fitting is it not?
