*Chapter 30*

Mia's POV

"What is that?!?!" Angela exclaimed when she saw the mark on my neck.

I called her once class was finished and asked her to meet me in the girls bathroom.

"Never mind that, I need you to help me cover it up!" I exclaimed back.

She crossed her arms over her chest, "If you're not going to tell me then I'm not going to help you cover it up"

"Fine, it may or may not have been from Brendon" I quickly blurted out, "Now help me cover it."

"WHAT. WHEN DID THIS HAPPEN?!" she asked, completely shocked.

"Last period, I don't want to go into details now. I need this thing covered. If anyone sees me like this I'm D E A D" I replied, growing frantic.

Angie then reached into her backpack and pulled out a grey scarf.

"This will have to do for now" she said, wrapping the scarf around my neck, just managing to cover my mark.

"Thank-you thank-you thank-you!!" I said, pulling her into a giant hug.

"It's ok and I expect a full explanation on the way home."

Angie pulled into my driveway as I finished recapping today's library events. I got out of the car before she could comment on my actions too much, and headed inside my house.

I was surprised to find the front door unlocked and my brother shuffling around the kitchen.

"How did you get here so fast?" I asked, shocked to see him home before myself for once.

"I walked" he simply stated, continuing his search for what I assumed was food.

"But walking takes at least 30 minutes, and school only finished 15 minutes ago!"

"Relax smart ass, Brendon dropped me home. We had a spare last so we left early."

"Oh. Where is Brendon then?" I asked, saddened by his lack of presence.

"Doing something. He didn't really say. What's it to you?"

"We have a Maths test tomorrow, I thought he wanted to be tutored."

"Oh well I'm sure he will show up later then!"

Jaron picked the food he scavenged and headed upstairs to his own room. Unlike Jaron, with his array of chips, chocolate, and lollies, I opted for some fruit. I sliced an apple and an orange before making my way to my own room.

I didn't have much school work tonight, just some minor revision for the Maths test, so I set up my laptop and turned on Netflix. I hadn't realised it had been so long since using Netflix as the last movie I had watched was Aladdin.

This brought back memories of my first night with Brendon. Failing to find something better to watch, I decided to re-watch Aladdin. About half-way through the movie, I decided it was time to take a shower, so I removed my laptop from my lap and made my way to the bathroom.

I closed the door and took off my clothes. I brushed the few knots out of my hair before turning on and stepping under the stream of water. After about 5 minutes of just letting my body soak in the warmth, I started on my bathroom duties.

Another 15 minutes later and I was done. I stepped out of the shower and wrapped a towel around myself. I hadn't realised how hot my shower was until I noticed the bathroom mirror completely covered in fog.

I grabbed and turned the handle and exited the bathroom. I began humming 'Teenagers' while making my way across to my bedroom. I opened my door and was about to drop my towel when I noticed I wasn't alone.
