Mia's POV
I woke up to a pair of arms wrapped around my waist. For a split second I was extremely terrified, before realising it was Brendon, and relaxed into his grasp.
I lay there, eyes closed for a while, resting, not sleeping, just enjoying his presence.
Eventually, my eyes were caused to flutter open by a soft kiss placed on my neck. I smiled before turning around to face Brendon.
"Morning," he mumbled, smiling at me. Damn his morning voice! Also let me just mention that he still looks damn hot for someone that's just woken up!
I yawned, stretching my arms before replying, "morning," in a much less sexy morning voice than his.
I sat up in the bed, during which I whacked my head on the wall, creating a loud thud which resonated through the room.
"Mother f-" I exclaimed, before being cut off by a knock on the door.
I turned to Brendon, the degree of panic(!) in his eyes reflecting mine, before trying to figure out what to do.
"Mia?" the voice behind the door called, thus identifying the knocker as Jaron.
Great, just great.
"Just a minute," I called softly.
If he were to walk in here right now, we were screwed. I acted quickly, shoving Brendon as far against the wall as possible, covering him with my bedsheets and grabbing an array of decoratory pillows from off the floor and positioning them in front of him.
I quickly got up from the bed, slipping into my dressing gown before answering the door, as I was still wearing the same clothes from last night.
I shot a final look behind me and to my bed. It was horrible disguise but I just hoped it would fool Jaron.
I opened the door slowly, yawning in the process, then rubbing my sore spot on my head.
"Yeah?" I asked tiredly.
"Sorry I just heard a bang, wanted to make sure everything's alright," Jaron said sweetly.
"No harm done, just lost a few brain cells that's all," I explained, lighting rubbing the back of my head.
"Be careful Mia, you can't afford to lose too many more of those," he said delivering me a Brendon-like smirk, nowhere near as effective as his though.
"I would say the same for you but it seems you've depleted them entirely,"
Jaron mocked offence before chuckling to himself and walking off towards the bathroom.
As soon as the bathroom door closed, I shut my own door, returning to my secret boyfriend buried oh so horribly beneath my bed sheets.
I uncovered Brendon to find him red faced and somewhat relieved.
"Was it hot under there?" I asked, referring to his facial colouring.
"Yeah but I don't think it was due to the blankets," he said, shooting me a wink.
"You're such an arrogant asshole!" I said, chuckling.
"Aww you're so sweet, thank-you,"
I rolled my eyes before pulling him up from the bed.
"Wow you're heavy!" I said jokingly.
"More to love," he said shrugging his shoulders.
I just shook my head, now focusing on devising a plan to get Brendon out of the house without anyone noticing.
"You're cute when you're concentrating," Brendon commented, as it seemed I had zoned out for a bit.
I blushed, before explaining to him what we had to do.
"I'll go downstairs, scope out everyone's positions before returning and further establishing a game plan alright?" I asked, although I wasn't really waiting for his approval.
He nodded as I left the bedroom, making sure to definitely close the door behind me.
I moved towards the bathroom, placing an ear to the door and heard Jaron turn on the shower. Good, he'll be at least another 10 minutes in there, now just to check on the parents.
I tip-toed downstairs, not seeing any sign of my parents, so I investigated further. I soon realised that their car was gone from the driveway, indicating that they were no longer home.
Well this should make things easier. I rushed back upstairs to inform Brendon.
"Jaron just got in the shower and my parents aren't here so it should be easy enough to get you out without being seen." I explained, slightly out of breath from running up the stairs.
"What if I don't want to leave?" Brendon asked stubbornly, pulling a frowning face.
"B," I sighed.
He walked over to me, "I know, I'm just kidding, sort of, not really, but that's beside the point."
I opened my bedroom door, checking the coast a final time before signalling for Brendon to follow me out of the room.
"This isn't a spy movie you know," Brendon whispered, chuckling at the end.
"My life feels like a spy movie as of recent events!" I retorted in slightly louder whisper.
We made our way down the hallway and down the stairs, stopping just before the front door.
"I guess this is good-bye for now," Brendon announced softly.
"I guess so. Thanks for the movie Brendon, I really enjoyed it. And the company wasn't that bad either..."
"I don't know why I put up with this!" Brendon said jokingly.
"I could remind you?" I suggest before advancing and placing a soft kiss on his lips.
I then heard the front door knob jiggle, then twisting and opening to reveal my parents.
