Brendon's POV
It's been a bit of a hectic week, with Jaron almost finding out, and the somewhat constant harassment from Katrina (although she hasn't said a peep since that time in the library), and I figured I really owed it to Angela for all that she's done for us throughout the relationship. That's why I decided to take her out on a date.
Should I mention that all the pretending to be in a relationship with her has actually caused my feelings for her to grow?
Just kidding (I fooled at least one of you). I had come to realise that she had a crush on my work-friend Noah, so I thought it would only be right that 'I go on a date with Angela' whilst 'Mia goes on a date with Noah', thus formulating a double date scenario.
Although Jaron was by no means impressed with the idea of Mia going out on a date, he seemed to come around to the idea knowing that Angela and I would be there (but if he only knew...)
Friday night rolled around and I found myself heading towards Noah's house as we would be travelling to the date together. Did I mention that we're going bowling? That was actually Noah's idea. He thought it would be a bit more fun than a dinner and less generic like a movie, not that there is anything wrong with that.
As the occasion wasn't formal, I dressed in black skinny jeans and a short-sleeved shirt, much like what I would wear to school, and seeing Noah exit his house, he sported similar attire.
"Hey man, how are you feeling?" I asked him as he slid into the passenger side of my car.
"To be honest? I'm nervous," he admitted with an awkward chuckle.
"Try not to be. From what I can tell, Angela really likes you so you'd have to do something really disastrous to fuck up!"
This seemed to lighten his mood a bit, although he continued to anxiously bob his leg up and down throughout the car ride.
Mia's POV
I must admit that I was pleasantly surprised when Brendon suggested a double date. It was the perfect excuse for Angela to get her foot in the door with Noah, and what's better than spending time with you best friend and your boyfriend?
Angela drove us home from school as usual, although she had already prepared her belongings for the night, meaning she could just get ready at mine. Apparently Noah had suggested bowling, which sounded like fun, and is an activity that I haven't had the pleasure of enjoying for quite some time.
"Is this too formal?" Angie asked, showing me the fifth potential outfit for tonight.
"Yeah maybe a little," I chuckled, examining the red velvet dress she was currently wearing.
"I give up!" she sighed in defeat, flopping backwards onto my bed.
"Hey, I get it, you're nervous. Just try and relax a bit. I'll pick you something to wear."
I dug through her assortment of clothes, eventually settling on a pair of high-waisted black shorts and a grey cropped t-shirt with some converse.
"Here," I said, handing her the clothes.
She looked at them quizzically before putting them on and being pleasantly surprised by my choice.
"Not half bad, Moore," she said, checking herself out in the mirror.
"Did you really think I would let you leave the house in something that didn't make you look hot as fuck?"
"Of course not, what are friends for right?" she said before we broke out giggling. Seeing as it wasn't a formal event, our makeup was limited to what one might consider 'school make-up', unless you're queen cake face Katrina that is.
