Brendon's POV

Fuck.
Mia didn't look impressed when she left the room. But what exactly can  do? If I protested the idea of a date any further, Jaron would surly be suspicious.

"She's beautiful isn't she," Jaron said with a sigh.

"Uh yeah," I admitted, because she definitely is. This is going to make things so much harder.

Jaron looked lost in a daze for a second, looking at the picture of this girl.

What is going on there?

"Anyway, what're you going to do with her?" He asked, straightening up a bit.

"Um well you kind of threw me in the deep end with this blind date thing so I'm fucked for ideas," I said nervously, running my fingers through my hair.

"No worries dude. I've got a few ideas up my sleeve, I've got your back,"

"Yeah, sure, thanks man."

This was going to be tougher than I thought.

Mia's POV

As soon as I got into my bedroom I grabbed my phone off my beside table and dialled Angie's number.

"Hello?" She answered with a groggy voice.

"Sorry, did I wake you?"

"Yeah but that's alright. What's up?"

"Got anything planned for tonight?"

"Um no not that I'm aware of..."

"OK good. We're crashing Brendon's date."

***

Angie arrived at my house about an hour after I called and I explained everything that happened. She agreed to drive me to Brendon's date and keep and eye on him.

Does this make me sound like a psycho? Maybe. Does this mean I don't trust Brendon. No....maybe? I don't know.

I trust Brendon, I really do, it's this Celia girl I'm worried about.

She is unbelievably gorgeous and that's really threatening. To say she makes me feel even more of a pity case for Brendon would be an accurate description. And the way he reacted to her picture!

It was approaching 7 so Angie and I prepared ourselves for our little spying session.

Brendon's POV

It was 6:53pm, and I was nervous. I hadn't seen or spoken to Mia since she stormed off, only receiving a confused look from Angela when she showed up at the house.

"Ready man?" Jaron asked, appearing beside me.

"As ready as I'll ever be," I said shrugging.

There was then a knock at the door, which Jaron opened almost immediately.

On the other side of the door stood a beautiful girl, but not the girl I wanted to go on a date with.

I pulled into the car park of the restaurant, turning off the car and getting out of the drivers seat.

I did the gentlemanly thing and opened the door for her. She thanked me, before smiling and walking towards the restaurant entrance.

We walked up to the service desk where we were seated and handed menus.

The restaurant was relatively busy, seeing it was a Saturday night. We ordered our food, handed our menus back to the waiter and begun casual conversation.
