You shifted around in your seat a bit and tightened your grip on the wheel. "How much longer do you think it'll be until we're at the port?" You asked, focusing your gaze on the calm road. Murdoc laid back down and tilted his head over to look at you. "Ehhn... I'd say 'bout a day more, luv. And if you could drive for that much longa', that'd be greatly appreciated." You groaned and straightened your back, already getting very uncomfortable. "I mean I guess I could drive the rest of the trip-" "Good!" He exclaimed, rolling over to his side. "Ah'm gonna take a nap." You rolled your eyes and shrugged. "Sure, just leave me alone again then." He chuckled and pulled his knees up to his waist. "That was the plan, luv~" "Hmpf, does this broken down car at least play music?" Murdoc lifted his head up momentarily and glanced over at you. "Yeh, it does. Only CD's, though. And tha' only CD I have is already in. It's one of my favorite bands! If ya play it, ehh, please do keep it down, hon." You sighed and smiled softly. "Will do, Muddz. Now get some sleep you piece of criminal scum." Murdoc gave one last little chuckle, and with that, you turned the radio on. Should I Stay or Should I Go began to play, and you began to hum along softly. You knew a few songs by The Clash, and thankfully, this was one of them. You kept the music turned down low and continued your journey down the highway.

It didn't seem like much time had passed, but it became apparent that it did judging by the soft pink and orange colors of a sunrise crawling into the sky. The traffic was beginning to pick up as you neared a city. "We must be close," You mumbled, a smirk finding it's way onto your face. The Clash had been playing all night on repeat, so you hadn't felt completely alone; although you did begin to feel a bit annoyed. You decided to let Murdoc sleep just a bit longer, Rock the Casbah playing for the tenth time. You we're still in shock that you and Murdoc fuckin' Niccals we're running from the cops together. An incredibly iconic, incredibly attractive, and incredibly bratty rock star had kidnapped you. You let your mind wander for the first time in a while, and you began to wonder what he would do to you after he got where he wanted to go. "I mean," you whispered to yourself, trying to ease your nerves. "He did say that I was going with him all the way, right? There's no way in Hell he's going to form another band. I mean, even if he did, he wouldn't kick me to the curb?"

"I wouldn't."

Your whole face lit on fire, and you glanced over to Murdoc, who was now facing you. "Ah'm not that huge of a dick." He argued, tapping his finger on the leather seat. "Oh, uh, thank you for the reassurance. Sorry if I woke you up..." You mumbled, trying to stay focused on driving. "Ya didn't wake me up, dont'cha worry your pretty lil' self." Your heart began to pound against your chest. Why did he make you feel this way? You didn't know, and you weren't sure if you'd ever know. Or if you even wanted to know.

"Ah, alright. Well, it's good you got up anyways. I'm gettin' a tad bit hungry." Murdoc smiled and lifted his seat back up. "Allllright then! Whereva' you want to stop, we can stop." You nodded slowly and smiled back at him. "Sounds good by me."

The two of you sat in silence for the remainder of the drive to a place where you could get some hash browns and a coffee. You didn't know what to say, and it seemed he didn't either. You put on your turning signal and drove off of the highway, and to a McDonalds. You turned the music off and got behind a car in the drive-thru. "Do you want anything, Muddz? And could you give me some cash?" "Uh, yeah sure. I'll just 'ave a coffee, please. And I'll get you the cash when it's time ta' pay." You nodded and pulled up to where you could order. "Fair enough,"

You ordered Murdoc's coffee, your coffee, and your hash brown. And once again, the car was silent. No one had bothered to turn the radio back on, so the only sounds we're the subtle sips Murdoc would take of his steaming coffee; yours being too hot for you to drink. "So," he finally spoke, breaking the rather awkward silence. "I probably won't be makin' a new band. Hell, I might just try ta' get Gorillaz back together afta' all. And uh, it'd be up to you if ya wanted to stick around or not." A wave of relief crashed into you. "Y-Yeah, I could probably stick around. I can write songs pretty good, and I wouldn't mind taking vocal lessons." Murdoc took a rather long sip of his coffee and then cleared his throat. "That sounds fine, luv. Whateva' you're comfortable with. Although, I would like if ya could sing for me or play for me some time." You nodded. "Yeah! Of course! Like, an audition?" Murdoc shrugged and anxiously rubbing his thumbs on his cup of coffee. "Ah' mean, I was thinkin' of it being more of just a private lil' show, but if you'd like to think of it as an audition, go right ahead luv." You tucked a strand of stray hair behind your ear, trying not to act as flustered as you really were. "Alrighty." You stated, finally taking a sip of your coffee.
